Zeropoint
Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Navy Hero. Not the SEALs, just normal ship-board blueshirts. GM: "The USS Tiger's Claw has joined the battle! What's everybody doing?" Bob: "As a damage control team investigator, I'm waiting for something to hit the ship." Fred: "I'm sitting here sweating in my FFE, hoping nothing catches on fire." Dave: "I'm monitoring the reactor. Oh, look, steam demand spiked. They must have launched a plane." Carl: "I'm shoring team. Wake me up when there's a hole in the ship."
BobGreenwade
Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Navy Hero. Not the SEALs, just normal ship-board blueshirts. Actually, a Navy supplement to War Hero could be done.... it'd have to include the SEALs, though. Bob: "As a damage control team investigator, I'm waiting for something to hit the ship." I've actually RP'd that function on ship, albeit on a starship in a Star Hero game. We only barely got off the planet we started on before the GM had to put the campaign on hold, though. I think I have more experience with it than most, though; I've been at it off and on since '93. Probably an overly long campaign, but a heckuva powerful PC....
