Forensic proctology HERO

Great, now I need bleach for my retina, optic nerves, and if I act quickly enough, short term memory (if not, long term gets a cleansing too). The worst part is I'm giggling too much for precision application.

Rhyming Hero

Player A: "I hit him with an Energy Blast, 5d6 hard and fast."

GM: "He aborts to dodge, adds DCV. Your shot goes wide as you can see.."

Player B: "Can I attack?"

GM: "Your SPD?"

Player B: "3, DEX 12"

GM: ".. and 4 CV I see, you're sure to miss - oh what glee"

 Kind of like Dr. Suess HERO. ;)

I will not roll d8 or more

I will not even roll d4

I will not check a chart or card

I will not play a class ("Not bard!")

I will not choose an alignment

I will not have rule confinement

I will not bow to a DM

One system then

Hero I am

Political Intrique is actually something I could see done in the Hero system.

I've always wanted to do a Roman Senate game - but I'd use systemless or my own rules for it. I can't see how using the Hero system for it would be any good.

Possibly if you redefine what everything represents, or create social equivalents and add-ons.

Hmmm

Oration used similar to an Ego attack.

Influence in the senate as stun

Respect/honour as body

Laws and works as defences, or possibly faction support and clients as well..

Nah, still use my own system.

I actually ran a Play by Post game that was a Killing Game Show. I never got to finish it however.

Sounds like a cool game. "Fictional" reality TV is OK. It's the "real" reality TV that stinks like @$$.

It would have to be heavily Skill-based (not "Powers as skills" in the way your post illustrated). Hopefully when The Ultimate Skill comes out Steve will include some notes on running games that are entirely Skill-based, such as those driven completely by intrigue or investigation.

It is actually doable. I have run a nonmagical fantasy campaign that had no powers. The players had lots of skill points, though.

That's "Yaoi" and it's different from Yuri.

Yaoi - guy/guy

Yuri - girl/girl

both have an intended female audience.

Yuri's target audience is women? Next thing I know, you'll be telling me it's women who ogle the pics of scantily-clad women snuggled up together.

. . . .

I mean PRIMARILY! :P

The stories focus less on sexuality and more on romance... in fact many don't even get into sex. If you're looking for girl/girl sex get a prono rag, if you're looking for girl/girl romance... Yuri is a good source.

Yuricon is run by a woman (I've had dinner with her a few times as some Cons, cool person). The primary target audience in the US is lesbians, that doesn't mean guys don't like it though. Or at least that's the primary buyer of Yuri.

That is interesting - I understand that Japanese has gendered language and different words are used depending on the sex on the speaker and/or subject.

Are Yuri and Yaori the female versions of those words?
