Re: Order of the Stick

It'll be interesting to see if they can go back to the same dynamic they used to have now. Roy is probably a level or two lower than the rest of the gang now (subject for future jokes), Haley has gotten a taste of leadership, V has gotten a taste of Evil, and both Belkar and Elan have gotten more complicated. Durkon is probably due for some development, though he did get some solid camera time once or twice in earlier arcs. It's not clear that Roy can step back into the leader role in quite the same way.

True but it's also confirmed that however much Haley and Elan (and Belkar) have grown up, they still need and want a leader.

Not to mention the fact that the pure-magic attack route V took didn't work. ;)

Re: Order of the Stick

It only took 221 strips to bring him back.

Wow, that's nearly a third of the OOTs history. I didn't realize it was that long ago.

Now he knows how Astronauts feel after coming back to Earth. ;)

It's comic book related

Steve Rogers, aka Captain America

I didn't catch that. I presumed (incorrectly) that it was a nod to the passing of D&D's co-creator... {refers to Wikipedia}... Dave Arneson. Boy was that off target. But I wonder why no send-up for D&D's co-creator like there was for Gygax?

Actually, it wasn't so much a send up to Steve Rogers as a reference to the fact that he's being resurrected in the Marvel Universe this summer.
