SteveZilla
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Hey Storn' date=' who was the blue power armor for? Or do you not say any more?[/quote'] I really hate using names over such a public space as most forums. I do so many of these, it is really tough to keep track of screen name/ real name/ character name as well. And I even kinda not like giving out the codenames of superhero commissions, but I have to name the file something. After all, it is not my creativity that came up with that particular name, but the patrons... However, I love it when my patrons come forward and say "oh, this commission is for my game X, and the character is PC (or NPC) Y." Then I feel like it is your choice. And you get the "press" for your part of the creation. Okay, I stopped waiting for my GM to finish updating the character sheet and did a copy for myself. I commissioned the blue and silver powered armor suit from Storn. It's for my character in a Gestalt game. Similar concepts are found in American Gods by Neil Gaiman. The character is Centurion, the Gestalt Of A Better Tomorrow Though Technology. He arose during the massive power failure in New England & Canada on August 14th, 2003 by bonding with a Technology Magnate (think Tony Stark). He is named Centurion not because of some tie to Roman stuff, but because he represents the technology of 100 years in the future. Here is his completed character sheet for your viewing enjoyment. Rapier
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I'm sure I've said this before, but I have such respect (and Skill-Lust) for those that can draw. I've always wished I had that drawing gene. Ask my players. I've done maps and stuff. My horses look like sausages on toothpicks. Don't believe me? I'll scan my last map! Kudos to those that can draw, and double Kudos for those that have succeeded at it. I salute you (and I salute with pants ON!).
Storn
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Time for more artwork!!! First up, a buffy-esque type character. Then a more superhero/villain brick who don't know his own strength. And a enigmatic wind/ice/cyrokinetic ... and lastly, a bowl with a mango. Just because I felt like showing it. This was an impromptu birthday present for a friend. I had bought the mango just to eat, but once I put in my bowl, I loved the colors. It is hour and 1/2 oil painting, very sketchy. The blue behind the bowl was my wadded up fleece sweatshirt on my drafting table. Bengalelf
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. And a enigmatic wind/ice/cyrokinetic Actually his power is based on the coldness of night. He has both darkness and cold powers. And yes the other one is based off Mammoth. I really thought he should of made it to 5th ed.
Storn
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Time for some more Death Tribble commissions. First up, Aquatic Evil. Guppy gone bad. Bad Guppy, bad! Then, in DT's game, Doc Destroyer has a scientist sidekick, who is asian. He said (I'm paraphrasing); "Let's do an asian with no dragons, no martial artsy-ness, none of the usual trappings." Lastly, the gist was "give me Phantom Lady, but dark costume". I assumed from the Codename, I could work in some energy, light power sorta sfx. enjoy... I just like the look.

Back in the early 80s the evil Dr was in China and happened upon a baby that had been abandoned. This was part of China's one child policy and parents especially in rural communities would abandon girls more than boys. It would have been easy for the good Doctor to kill her but then a thought struck him. What if the child was raised by his methods ? Would this not be a scientific proof of nature vs nurture ? What if this baby girl could be the new Einstein ? The idea of the experiment appealed to him so the Destroyer picked up the baby and took her off to his lair. As a scientific control he also made sure that Menton did not use his powers on her just to see what happened. And he set a curriculum focusing on the sciences and intelligence. If the child showed no apptitude for them then he could always mutate her later. He also had her enrolled in a normal school and had a condition set that she should never talk about him. In 1992 the Destroyer set off his destruction of Detroit and afterward one Chinese girl secretly mourned the father who had saved her from certain death. Come the millennium and the Destroyer revisited his old Chinese haunts. And was greeted on his return by a young woman. 'Greetings Master, welcome back. What do you want to do today and how may I assist ?' She is loyal to only one person, Dr Destroyer. Unlike some others she realises she is expendable. But reasons if he had not saved her she would not exist. She also ensures that any dress or style she has does not detract from her master. She loves him like a father but this is tempered by the fact of who he is. She serves his plan and with this she is content.

This is for my fellow podcaster, Jeff, and his RPG called Giants. A little giant height hierarchy. The storm giant, the robot, the giant wolf and hill giant are all PCs from various playtests. If you want to know more about Jeff's upcoming game. Check out his design blog on the subject at: http://giantsrpg.livejournal.com/

teh bunneh
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Wow, Storn, your Spike is really good. I wish there had been more entries in this contest -- I'm a huge Cowboy Bebop fan. I like Rojo's Faye (thought his Spike was kinda meh). And I really liked Joshm's Radical Ed (though the rest of the crew were just OK). I once gamed with a girl who drew almost exactly like littledaisy.
