Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

Hm. Ranger's player didn't pay points for that entrenching tool... need to have a talk with him.

I should mention that his player came up with Ranger after seeing Storn's pic of Red Ensign for BC Holmes. Although I think Ranger looks like more of a hard fightin', hard drinkin' Army grunt. Which is a good thing. :)

It will be cheap,

Multi 5 active pts (OAF) 3 real pts

a) Tunneling 1 "

B) HtH attack 1d6

Agreed. I like his.... energy rifle? as well.

Doesn't his energy rifle somewhat remind you of a flamethrower, at least because it seems like it wants to spout flames from the nozel?

Actually, I thought it was a rifle grenade on the end.

Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

his rifle looks kind of like a sci-fi version of a BAR.

i would also give the entrenching tool a small HKA and make the HA biger than 1d6, but not bigger than 2d6.

my two crowns worth

ps: did he pay for that almost short sword size bayonet? and yeah, i know they were that big back then.

(looks a picture again) Hmmm, I could see your point of view but it still looks like it's ready to deal some real fire-power to me. :)

Regardless, great pic Storn!

Well, it's supposed to be a "Tesla rifle", a prototype weapon the military handed him to test. It shoots something like an electromagentic pulse beam. Ranger also had his costume designed by a committee of PR guys.

Things like that are probably why he looks so grumpy. :)

But look down at the power pack (I guess) in front of the trigger. It's glowing red. Hope it's supposed to do that...

p.s., I can't recall if he has paid for a bayonet. hm...

Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

Lightray said "Tesla rifle that looks like a WWII rifle, but might have slight alterations".

I went BAR, and slight alterations indeed, with a bit of energy to suggest "Tesla", and yup, the energy pack looks pretty much like a 20 round mag for a BAR...with energy stripe to indicate how much usage.

Hey man! I ain't paying character points for a shovel! And that Tesla Rifle is great for mechanoids. Not so much for organics.

I guess the cat's out of the bag now! That's right, Lightray! I am now reading the forums. hehehe.

Just signed up today!

Looks absolutely fantastic Storn. Quality work as usual.

So, we're trying to come up with some team costume ideas, and in my searching I found this handy thread: http://www.rpg.net/news+reviews/columns/Hero_for_a_Day_various_5_1.html

Thanks again Storn! As I was reading this I kept hearing Edna Mode for some reason.

Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

I'd like to see a French guy, a British guy, and a Russian guy in the same style. Sounds like a cool WW2 hero team to me.

Great work, Storn! And it looked like a Tesla BAR when I first saw it.

Good job Lightray's player!

Richard

I was thinking the same thing! Points for us!
