TheTemplar
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Onto some art. This is another commission for Chad R. A hotshot heroine totally comfortable in her own skin. I really like her boots. Yes, I said boots. No, that's not a typo.
bcholmes
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I have a feeling that these next two commissions will not generate as much feedback as the scantily dressed Glamour. Wow. I really like both of them, but the winged character is amazing. You know.. since someone actually wanted to mod one of the images I'm going to say you actually got MORE feedback on these two Good art is good art. And you makes some Good Art. Posing and composition... small touches that make the figures have more weight and "reality" to them. This one is tres cool. Good stuff. death tribble
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Two things Storn, Did you get my last e-mail with a request for an amendment to the Angel ? Secondly, and this bit is open to everyone else as well, I am looking for art ideas for a villainous archer, a sort of bad guy Hawkeye or Green Arrow when they had the Trick Arrows rather then the straight normal ones. I am doing a series of villains called the Vanquishers who are a dimensional counterparts to the old hero team I played in. What I do not have is a villainous archer based on the 'good' archer Sureshot. I don't have a name, a colour scheme or a particular theme. The original had a red and white costume with an arrow and a sword down one side and an all black affair for tackling street crime. I want something a little more noticeable for this guy. Does not need to have a mask; must have bow and arrows; possibly a sword; This is going to be the April commission.

Vanguard00
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Kinda sorta on topic, Storn, how much do you charge for a vehicle or building? freakboy6117
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. lets see KILLSHOT professional assassin specialising in meta-human contracts. He uses a crossbow(because there more evil) with trick ammo specifically designed for his targets. he also carries a ninja sword (to deliver the coup de gras) slung across his back along with the holster for his compound cross bow. His costume is black full face mask with low light goggles body armour he wears a utility belt that holds the various trick heads for the quarrels he keeps the short quarrels in groups of around 6 around his upper thigh and forearm for quick reloading
Major Freedom
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I have to say that your artwork is great ... Susano
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. For an archer... ever consider one of those competition compound bows with all the balances, arrow rack, and sight? All the comic archers seem to use longbows, but I think a compound bow would make so much more sense.

Susano
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Didn't Rainbow Archer use one of those? Actually, now that you mention it... yes. Although Yeoman did as well (Wild Cards). There is a classic issue of Green Lanter/Green Arrow (Grell art, I think) where Ollie is being set-up to have to assassinate the "President" by some secret cabal. He is set up in a tree, miles from the site, but with this whacked out compound bow that will enable him to make this shot. I remember reading this as a kid and just gawking at the high tech bow. I wish I knew what issue that was. I don't own it anymore.

Okay, so it's not that rare -- but would be a little different. A high-tech pump-action crossbow would work well, too.

Also the crossbow. Yes it is meaner, but I am British. We made the longbow the weapon of choice and of death to our enemies. The compound bow with the sights and things, yes. That's what we will go for. Storn has done archers yes, but not supervillain ones. Black masks are becoming common and several of his colleagues have an all black look so I need a different colour scheme for this guy. Thanks to freakboy6117 and Susano for the input. I like the gray, white, black, look -- or, some form of green, brown, and tan. Of course, the costume may be determined by choice of name, so it depends on what you come up with first.
