Paul Rubens is Batman in The Dark Knight's Big Adventure

Of course, he might be better cast as the Riddler:

Batman: (hoarsely) "I'm Batman!"

Paul Rubens/the Riddler: "I know you are but what am I?

Watership Down and Out in Beverly Hills

It's a Wonderful Day After Tomorrow

How the Grinch Stole the Tardis

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesin National Lampoon's Animal House II, Now it's Literal!

An Inconvenient Truth about Mary

Dark Knight at the Museum

Re: Genre-crossover nightmares

John Boorman's version of LOTR :nonp:

I will never complain about Peter Jackson's changes again!

I did enjoy this part:

And here comes the horror story, right? … Boorman handed in this 700-page script … [The studio executives said] ‘[H]e’s changed a lot of the characters, and he’s added characters. He’s got some sneakers he’s merchandising in the middle. … [W]e don’t understand a word Boorman wrote. We never read the books.’ (Robinson 4)

Because, really, why would you need to bother about reading the books if you're going to make a movie about them? :idjit:

And they have a scene where Frodo and Galadriel get it on? :jawdrop: What the hell was Boorman smoking?

This is even worse than the intended Walt Disney adaptation from the 50's or so in which the Orcs would have had beaks and feathers! ("Orcs, Auks, what's the difference?")

You mean you can go right with Hobbit porn?

I too would like to know what he was smoking. But Orcs with beaks and feathers would have made a worse impression on me than than the pig-faced Orcs in 1st Edition AD&D did.

There's some good ideas in there.

They just don't belong in Lord of the Rings.

I agree. Make it an original setting, and you can use a lot of the stuff.
