Susano
Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs Another one for six ed. Because I'm in a perverse mood I'll make you guess what song, but it probably won't take long for someone to nail it. 0 6) Nothing stands between us here: Usable By Other (+0), Recipient must remain close to Grantor, Grantor pays the END whenever the power is used, Recipient must be within Limited Range of the Grantor for power to be granted, Grantor can take back power at any time for up to 44 Active Points of Telepathy (0 Active Points) Lucious, it looks like you applied a Naked Advantage incorrectly. I mean, Usable By Other's can't be +0, can it? 7 Shape Shift (Sight and Touch Groups, limited group of shapes), Persistent (+1/4), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (31 Active Points); No Conscious Control (-2), Affects Body Only (-1/2), Always On (-1/2), Limited Power Only when changes form when moving from one dimension to another. (-1/2) 25 Variable Power Pool (Requires Dimensional Skill Roll ), 20 base + 30 control cost, all slots Limited Power Power loses less than a fourth of its effectiveness (-0) (35 Active Points); all slots No Conscious Control (-2) "Limited Power Power loses less than a fourth of its effectiveness (-0) " -- and the Limitation is? 薔薇語
Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs That's what Hero Designer gave me. I should look up the rules and figure out what it's really supposed to be. I was running into that problem this morning. The issue is that when you open up the "Naked Advantage" power, it gives you two different buttons to select modifiers for. The left one (the one you need to select) is called "Naked Modifier" and the right one (the one you did choose) is "Add Modifier." The "Add Modifier" modifies the Naked Advantage but doesn't generate a naked advantage. I.e., you can add a N.A.: AP, but then you can add "Charges" to just the Naked Advantage if you want via the "add Modifier." Make Sense? It took me some time this morning to figure that out. La Rose. He can fly at great speeds, project powerful bolts of electricity, and summon vast storms. He also can transform into the air itself, effectively turning in visible, and becoming undetectable by his enemies. Lightning’s Hand is fiercely protective of his domain (the sky) and won’t hesitate to destroy intruders. He’s also been known to summon destructive storms in fits of anger, and is generally feared by all who know of him. Lightning’s Hand is off of the album Point Of Know Return, by the band Kansas. Although the character sheet presumes a human(oid) protagonist, the song may simply be the personification of storms and bad weather in general. The character sheet was made using the Energy Projector Template(s) found in Champions 5th Edition, combined with ideas from such sources as the UNTIL Super-Powered Database and the Ultimate Energy Projector. At 485 points, Lightning’s Hand is somewhat more powerful than your average superhero. Game Masters can easily trim that back by removing or reducing his Lightning Reflexes and Ranged Combat Skill Levels. If you want to make Lightning’s Hand an elemental (say a free-willed air elemental), I suggest adding in the proper powers from the Hero System Bestiary. Big Iron can be found in the Marty Robbins’s song Big Iron. While technically a Western Hero character, you can easily use him in a Pulp Hero game (with virtually no changes) or a Dark Champions campaign. Surrounded by twenty red-coated soldiers, his hammer still in his hand, the smith was buried under the old oak where he’s been found. Later, the men were told his story.... The smith lived in Chestertown, with his wife and child. Mild-mannered, he seemed uninterested in the Colony’s fight for independence -- until he overheard a Tory plot to capture General George Washington. Leaving his family behind, he headed out to warn he General, but on his return found his wife and son dead on the ground, slain by British muskets. Taking up one of his heavy hammers, he headed out again, to find their killers. Unfortunately, for a score of King George’s men, he found them. The Blacksmith Of Brandywine comes from the song of the same name, written by Pat Garvey with music by Victoria Garvey Armstrong. He was designed to be comparable (physically) to Big Jim Walker and Big John and built by borrowing ideas from various Fantasy Hero templates. He’s suitable for use in any number of settings, from Fantasy Hero to Pulp Hero. If you want to make him more powerful, give him a point of SPD and a few points of DEX and OCV. To make him less powerful, remove Defense Maneuver IV and Weapon Master.
