Lost Girl Season 1. A succubus discovers what she is and that light and dark fae exist. It is curiously uninvolving, Grimm is better.

Vikings Season 2. The vikings return to Britain and end up in Wessex instead. Athaelstan  is captured and released by the king. He becomes useful to both sides. Ragnar takes Princess Aslaug as his second wife causing Lagertha and his son to leave him. Jarl Borg takes over Ragnar's village but is taken down by Ragnar and a returning Lagaertha. The Blood Eagle is performed on Borg. Ragnar also has problems with King Horik. Very enjoyable.

Bedazzled Dudley Moore is a cook who is tempted by the Devil (Peter Cook) as he tries to get the waitress in the cafe where they both work. Raquel Welch makes an appearance as Lust.

The Looking Glass War An agent recruits a Polish seaman to find out about East German rockets but it goes wrong.

Revolution This is the Al Pacino film about the American War of Independence. Donald Sutherland also stars. It was made locally, to me, for some scenes. It just did not grab you.

Inside Llewyn Davis a folk singer has a rotten time in New York. A Cohen brothers film.

The Passenger Jack Nicholsen is a journalist in the 70s who swaps his identity with a deceased business man in Africa and gets drawn into the latter's life while evading his wife and friends. Made by the Italian director Antonioni.

The Deep Robert Shaw, Jacqueline Bsset and Nick Nolte in a diving adventure in the Caribbean. It is still good although the voodoo attack on Bisset might be cut today.

So, pretty much typecasting for Raquel, as she pretty much embodied Lust for an entire generation, mine included.

I liked both versions and thought they were both well done.

Dark Shadows: Exactly what you'd expect from a Tim Burton-directed movie based upon a campy soap opera, with Johnny Depp as the lead. (Netflix Blu-Ray).

To be fair, Dark Shadows was a dark drama in its age.  It only looks campy to us now.

Which actually makes this recent Burton/Depp offering more horrific.

The Happytime Murders: There's about four laugh-out-loud moments in the entire film, which purports to be a raunchy comedy. I'd recommend watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit? instead. (DVD)

The premise sounded fun, but the trailer was painful. If there's ever an edited-for-TV version, I might see if it's worth continuing.
