Edsel
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Fantasy Hero: I am currently converting the spells from the anime Slayers into Hero System. Nolgroth
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects I'm going to continue work on developing and expanding my Gemini Ascendant campaign. I'm also going to try and resurrect my fantasy hero campaign setting and improve on my Campaign Cartographer skills. I think my 2006 gaming project was to actually game and though I had a later start than I initially hoped for, that project matured nicely. Considering that I started gaming and have continued to do so, I'll call that one a success! Here's to my players and friends in the Gemini Ascendant game! proditor
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects The look back was interesting. It made me feel kind of good that I at least took a whack at 2 out of my 3 planned things for 2006. I have an ongoing game with no name, and I wrote some DH articles. Now I just have to find the time and a dedicated typist to tackle Venture Brothers/Johnny Quest HERO. New plans for 2007: Finish the original heroes of my CU. Miniatures and Sheets. Finish the darn Verne article already. Work on an article with one of my old Players.
Lord Liaden
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Doesn't look like there'll be much gaming for me in 2007. My group has fragmented, and I'll just have too much work to set aside any regular time for it. I have resolved to break into Digital Hero this year, though. I have a few Champions possibilities lined up. Right now I'm working up a proposal to submit to Dave Mattingly to bring Professor Muerte back into the Champions Universe. Steve Long has given me permission to use the character. After that I'll probably refine and expand my house rules for Integrating "normal" things into a "Super" world, and try to turn them into a publishable article. (I would welcome any constructive feedback on that thread BTW.) My biggest DH project will be writing up my proposed new RAVEN, but since it's my wish to make that compatible with the current CU I'd rather wait until the update book is published, to see what changes I may have to take into account. patrick
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects My 2007 project Star Hero: Currently I'm writing a Hard SF setting called Star Seed. After completing all the fluff (history, organizations, politics) I plan to write the "Crunch" in Hero, Savage Worlds, and D20 versions. Lord Mhoram
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects For me it is my FH game. I've pretty much done the basic suite of spells (about 400), and am going through other game books for conversion material (Rolemaster, and D&D being the biggest - lots of spells to adapt). I've done work on races, talents, and other such things for my game; either original or coverted. This work, after I have cleaned it up, and written it much better becomes fodder for my Digital Hero articles - that is where the Gifts of the Gods came from, and my article in DH 41. I have material for about 4 or 5 more articles sitting on my harddrive, so I need to clean them up edit them and send them off.

My group has fragmented' date=' and I'll just have too much work to set aside any regular time for it.[/quote'] That's too bad. If you get the time and you/you're players are interested, OpenRPG offers a pretty good alternative to ftf gaming. Right now I'm working up a proposal to submit to Dave Mattingly to bring Professor Muerte back into the Champions Universe. Steve Long has given me permission to use the character. Is that the other Dr. Doom knockoff that was in Classic Enemies?

Matt Frisbee
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Current Projects: Dies The Fire -- A post-apoc game based on the novel series of the same name by S. M. Stirling where mankind suddenly enters a Second Dark Age. Currently running it using FUDGE rules, and the players have managed to survive the first week after The Change, but now there's a deep division as to where to go and what to do, especially if The Change is permanent... New Knights of Kambria -- The last group of my 1st Edition AD&D campaign managed to survive the terrors of Spider Keep and fulfill their vow to find and return the body of an adventuring husband to a grieving widow. Unfortunately, all of their profits from the venture were used to resurrect the party's mage. Now a new group of players and characters are ready to seek their fortune in the Lands of Kambria, starting in the Tomb of the Nameless King... Outbound -- Science-Fiction on an epic scale as near future humanity has joined the great interstellar Concordiat, but are our heroes are finding out why the other races were so eager to have us in their midst -- the hard way! Lord Liaden
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Is that the other Dr. Doom knockoff that was in Classic Enemies? Pretty fair description, yes. A lower-powered protege of Dr. Destroyer who struck out on his own. He was in Classic Enemies - head of Terror Inc. LL I can't wait to see that article' date=' that sounds like a fun one.[/quote'] Prof. Muerte and Terror Inc. are a part of the official Fifth Edition Champions Universe timeline, in which Muerte was betrayed and killed by Scorpia and Feurmacher. Of course in the comics death is often far from permanent. I'm having a lot of fun developing the concept and backstory. Assuming Dave gives me the go-ahead, the new Muerte will pay homage to the precedents created by Steve Perrin and Scott Bennie, but will also bring many new elements to the character, as well as a boost in power. I'm also writing up several new minions for him. I hope I've found a distinctive niche for the Professor that will set him apart from other CU master villains. Cool. His problem over the years is that he was always a Dr D wannabe and it really hurt his ability to be used as a truly effective character. I don't recall him ever working for Zerstoiten, just idolizing him, down to scarring himself to be more like his idol. Played for laughs he would be more like Buddy from Incridibles (and when I ran the "comic version" of Terror Inc that was how I played it). Lethosos
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Put a Luchadore Mask on Prof. Murte, and he's perfect. Anyways... I haven't been able to actually get anywhere on Eight Sages, but since then I've been setting the stage up for a (hopefully) better conversion for White Wolf's Werewolf: The Apocolypse system (especially for the many Breeds out there,) and prepping for a free-form user-imput South Seas-style setting losely based on Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates called Pirates of the Ceruclean Ocean. (Still need to work out some more details, though.) Now if the DNS server will actually transfer over from FuitadNet to Dreamhost for a change, then I can pass out some links.

shadowcat1313
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects finishing Traveller for the Hero System The Rest of These arent in any order: a whole new catalog of gadgets for Star Hero, the Maximus Industries 1248 Solstice Wishbook. more real vehicle conversions, getting a litle bored with that project, anybody have anything in particular they want to see done? Building a star sector of 30-40 planets set in the Terran Empire Universe, but with more details, probably another human and alien mixed star nation, roughly ATRL 9-10, any suggestions on a good place to put it mapwise? I figure on probably using Traveller book 6 for planet generation, the star hero system doesnt give me near enough detail

TheRavenIs
Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Champions: My Mirror Man Command part of our shared gameworld. Think SG1 with super's. DC: Sometime this next year do a game using the DC rules. Star Hero: Something space based, still thinking on what and how. If Traveller Hero comes out and I can get it, then will use it. Champions: A new world that is seperate from the shared one, that has had Superhumans for a very long time. Hoping to set it up and then see if players want to try it.
