MegaTokyo?

It takes a while to read through all those strips so it's a bit hard to get a handle on the characters.

Some examples:

Largo aka Great Teacher Largo was run over by a bus. the bus was damaged and he got a broken arm which healed very quickly. Another time he connected a jumper to power lines in order to recharge Ping, the PS2 accessory girl-robot. he was electricuted but recovered almost immediately. He also faced Ping in a game of Mosh-Mosh Revolution at an arcade and was able to match her dance step for step. Their dance battle overloaded the power grid causing a fire and blackout.

When Ping is rejected she goes beserk and is capable of tearing up utility poles for use as weapons. The researchers at Sony estimate that she can toss a bus while in this state. I can't recall how far though.

Piro appears clueless most of the time but his female avatars Piroka/Pirogoeth are unbeatable in the online gameworlds. The gameworlds sometimes overlap mundane reality as seen by the appearance of Rent-a-zilla when the Ninja Junpei broke Largo out of jail.

Miho appears to be a psychic vampire who feeds on emotional energy. If yu read the entire series you'll find the current strip portrays Miho as very disturbing.

Hero system could play this... to a point (See the Cartoon Hero thread). This "game" requires more of a Toons use of mechanics rather than a realistic or cinemamatic mechanic systems. There are cartoon physics in the story, so it is not suited for anything that simulates reality (or some variation there of).

I am currently playing in a MegaTokyo PbP game, which is using freeform rules. That is working quite well for us.
