Big Man - Paul Bunyan Hammer - John Henry Twister - Pecos Bill Seed - Johnny Appleseed Widow - Annie Oakley (though she was real, so not sure) So were John Henry and Jonny Appleseed. Doc Samson
Re: Guess the inspiration behind this superteam! Here is another team my players faced awhile back. They are actually Golden Age heroes the characters threw down with during a time travel story arc. I think this will be easy so I will leave the descriptions very brief. (Deadly) Nightshade - wood and plant manipulation and control Wildfire - fire generation Landslide - travel through earth and stone Mettle - transformation into steel Torrent - water absorbtion (and release)

Lucius Alexander The palindromedary notes that contrary to some people's beliefs Lucius Alexander is a real person too Well, yes and no. There were real people that inspired the tall tales, but those superhuman legends were well beyond the real people. Annie Oakley, on the other hand, was a genuine sharpshooter that created shooting feats modern marksmen still use as a benchmark. The palindromedary is too super to be believed. Opale
Re: Guess the inspiration behind this superteam! My guess is the Great Grappler is the key : because there are not so many four armed characters in comics... Beside that, I don't know comics enough to give it a try . A carrot as a gift to te palindromedary would help ?

I also think The Great Grappler is the key, unfortunately I keep getting stuck on Dr. Jumba Jookiba's four armed experiments.
