Re: Super Names

Overall, pretty good. Very comprehensive. Some names are poor and some are good. The ones with the long explanations seem to be really poor choices.

Villian: Who are you hero?

Hero: I am Oberon, you know from medieval folklore: king of the fairies and husband of Titania.

Villian: (laughing histerically) Who? Where's your wife? What is super power? Make your enemy fall out laughing???

Warning! Humor ahead! Proceed with caution!

Not really-not everybody likes to see large lists of super names.

Well, then, would someone tell those people to put a rush on my application to join the Wrongbadfun Police? If people can impose their groupthink on one little thread that's usually not at the top of the list, someone should finally put paid to those damned WWYCD threads!

Re: Super Names

I thought Ben turned off the negative rep feature? And did they give some reason' date=' or was it just a drive-by neg repping? Baffling.[/quote']I thought so too, but these are recent. I guess the actual subtraction from your rep total is off (ny total seems unchanged), but the ding still logs.

Two of the three detractors left no comment, but one seems to be making a positive comment (bad grammar and spelling, so hard to tell). Maybe the interface was a little much for him.

If those people would like to PM me' date=' I'll be sure to alert the proper authorities that someone is holding a gun to their head making them read a thread titled "Super Names".[/quote']No telling the authorities. The RSTP (Read the Supernames Thread Police) are above conventional justice.

Are you sure it's not just grey rep? If it's from someone with 10 or less rep, they have no power.

Re: Super Names

Odd. I'd ask Ben or Dan. But I bet that's the case. And I'm sure it was offset in any case.
I'm not actually worried about it, just being wry. And yes, a few people went and gave me some PosiRep and brought me to an all-time high (for me, that is :ugly: ). Thanks guys. Dynamo has a spectacular aura about

Dang, got too busy over the hollow-days to notice there's a new Master List. Well, I hope none of these are on it (I doubt very strongly they are). I'll check the rest I've got waiting against the list before posting them.

Sterke Man (Dutch: strong man)

Puissance (French: power)

Der Gelbe Funken (German: the yellow spark)

Here's a couple.

Shyft

Edge

(I'm sure some of those are already on here but figured I'd post anyway)

Also the Dumpshock forums have a rather large list of runner names for Shadow run. I'll post a link as soon as I can pull one up (DS is currently switching servers. Been having problems pulling up older threads.)

Re: Super Names

A few notes on names already accepted or rejected:

It’s spelled Pheidippides.

You have both "Celsius" and "Celcius"; the second is misspelled, is that on purpose?

It’s spelled Felonious, not Felinious.

"Destruga" is a "state", not a person.

"Carpathia" is in European Enemies.

Re: Super Names

Blues (Rhythm’s new partner)

Hey, that's my PC! :)

That's why I only mentioned him in parentheses. I wasn't claiming him or anything :)

Hm.... Now that I think about it, I should've phrased that as a suggestion. OK, I"m off to edit that (and the other one like it)

I know, I just felt the urge to say something (Actually, Blues is the PC, Rhythm is his computer assistant. She insisted on top billing).
