Basil
Re: Time Travel Wish List? Noon (Greenwich time) on Jan 1, 4713 BCE. Preferably where London is now. Just so I can say "I was there at Time Zero!" OK, I'm a geek.
Psybolt
Re: Time Travel Wish List? I would like to go back to 1880's 1890's Whitechappel England for the Jack the Ripper mystery, and the 1960's for the Zodiac Killer. A mystery RPG ... but only if the answers would be revealed. Ian Mackinder
Re: Time Travel Wish List? Isn't visiting places that are interesting and dangerous the point of the game? Yair, but there is no sense in making it EASY for the GM! You (well, OK, I) don't just passively march into obvious traps because "that is what the GM wants". Make the @#$%^ work for it! GamePhil
Re: Time Travel Wish List? Do you remember the 50's/When Emperor Claudius di-ied! Sorry, I'll try to come up with some serious answers, the song was just bouncing around in my head five minutes before I saw the thread. Ian Mackinder
Re: Time Travel Wish List? Blue Jogger
Re: Time Travel Wish List? The library of Alexandria to rescue all those scrolls and papers before it is burned down. That is definitely tempting, but with my luck, I was the one that bumped the candle in the first place. "But, I, and then, but... So if I... but I did... so, therefore... DAMN!" Spidey88
Re: Time Travel Wish List? Natural history tends to interest me more than human history. With that in mind, my top three times would be: 1) The late Cambrian period, about 515 MYA. So many trippy critters with no known descendants, so few specimen containers... Check out details about the critters found in the Burgess shale and you'll know what I mean. 2) The late Carboniferous period. Giant arthropods abound! 6-foot millipedes, 9-foot eurypterids. Need I say more? 3) The late Cretaceous. I'd love the chance to see my favorite dinosaurs - assuming I wasn't in a position to get eaten. That being said, I realize this wouldn't be to most people's tastes RPG-wise! So much of why I'd like this sort of thing would be knowing what things were "really" like - not nearly so satisfying when it's all made up.
