Clonus
What do you think they kept in the basement? http://www.asiaone.com/Travel/News/Story/A1Story20080517-65716.html
fiducia
Re: That is not dead which can eternal lie Basement of a church = crypts. Crypts = the faithful departed and maybe even a few Saints. Dead Saints = THE HOLY UNDEAD!!! Sounds like a good horror campaign or pulp horror setting to me!! Oooo maybe even some Cuthulu mythos thrown in for good measure! A servant of the Deep Ones chained there for centuries and then released by a freak accident of nature! Or is it freak? Maybe the spell keeping the creature imprisoned under the water weakened and therefore caused the drought that brought about it's release! Okay! Gonna quit on this while I'm ahead. Susano
Re: That is not dead which can eternal lie Everything's okay while the sun is out, but imagine what might awake once moonlight strikes the church's basement for the first time in hundreds of years..... Jachra
Re: That is not dead which can eternal lie yep or maybe a MUTT WILLIAMS adventure God no. GOD NO. Saints preserve us from that horrible fate. It could be the focus of a cool adventure, certainly. However, it was only forty years, not a hundred, so that kinda loses some of the glamour... it wasn't even before World War II.
