Badger
I usually am blacked out when I sleep. This is the second or third driving dream that I have had woke up during since I first saw this thread. I am sure it is work related. CES Well on a related note, at least one of my run from the police dreams involved me in the high speed chase with one of the company's vehicles. Old Man
Yet another school dream. This time I was so busy exploring some kind of art school that I was late for some kind of literature class, which I still hadn't found.
Burrito Boy
Last night I dreamt that I went camping with the cast of Night Court but instead of tents we took the whole courthouse. massey
Badger
THat's almost as strange as my average dream. I've been mostly having relive high school dreams, been a bad week.
Burrito Boy
Last night I dreamt that Mindy Kaling was driving me to school. (I'm not sure what she was doing in my dream because I've never watched the shows she's in and I haven't had a school dream in years.) Things were normal until I realized I'd forgotten to put peanuts in my lunch. That's when the trailer we were hauling opened and out came KITT driven by B.A. Baracus who headed for my house so he could pick up the peanuts and bring them to me at school. L. Badger
Well, my mother mentioned she had a dream where she was being attacked by a Donald Trump-led army. Not sure what to make of that one.

Badger
Well, I finally broke the string of high school nightmaring. Seems an advanced alien race was pulling the "Apollo" and bringing in groups of people/other intelligent beings to worship them (or rather more for dinner entertainment, so maybe more Trelane-ish, well it seems to be combo of several old ST episodes really. Though their leader had something of a Sauron vibe). Seems I was one of them (also Cpt Pike and his crew from the Cage, RIcky Ricardo, and Red XIII from the FInal Fantasy series-also maybe the Addams Family made a cameo, but a bit fuzzy on that one). Anyway, to try to find away to stop the aliens, some of the long term residents had a legend of some way to neutralize them in the desert outside their central area of living. So, Pike, and RIcky were going to set up some "underground resistance" within. While me, and Red XIII, and Yeoman Colt went about finding out what could be found in the desert. Traveling mostly at night, when less able to be observed by the aliens. Never did find an actual neutralizing thing in the desert. But, it turned out the farther out apart from altering their planet's environment to be ultra-harsh out there. They had little influence past a certain point. Even uncovering at least one small enclave of bandits who had escaped a long time ago, and made something of a go at it out there. Woke up, before anything could be decided of what to do next though. Badger
Definite nightmare! Dream about some kind of mutant fleas or lice. Once they attached to skin they rapidly reproduced by splitting (think like germs). Quickly covering the skin. They were on my face, then in my eyes, even on my tongue, then I started choking as the spread into my throat. Luckily, I desperately threw myself into a river, and it somehow instantly killed them upon contact with water. Out of the river, I was looking around to make sure none got on me to start it up again
tkdguy
My dream the other night was more neat than weird. I was in the back seat of a car, travelling with friends. The road was elevated; the tops of houses were visible directly to our right. The houses all looked like this, except they only had one large window which was solid glass. You could see inside each window. One house displayed a collection of wine. Another displayed the owner's finest china. Yet another showed that a party was going on. Then I ended up in a museum with my mom and an old friend; the exhibit was about samurai. Last night's dream was a bit weirder. I was in back in high school talking to the prettiest girl in class. I was going to eat a grilled cheese sandwich, and she recommended adding turkey to the sandwich. Except instead of slices, she added the entire leg in my sandwich, including the bone. Then I was talking to a veteran about a physics problem about sound waves.
Burrito Boy
I dream words a lot. A few days ago it was "thai greenal" and last night it was "tomoyukahana". I Googled them both and...nothing. In the past I dreamt the word "pstalemate", which turned out to be the title of a novel by Lester del Rey. Badger
Well, I have dreamed in anime before. (I've also had black&white, color, and animated-anime and otherwise- characters existing in the same dream without a hitch)
massey
I usually sleep with my phone playing music of some kind. Earlier this summer I fell asleep listening to a '60s playlist. That night I had a dream that some Independence Day-style aliens were invading. They had ships that were the size of city blocks, and then a bunch of small fighters. Some people had managed to steal some of the alien fighters, and I was leading the attack force of a handful of guys against this massive alien fleet. But actually it was more like an arcade game shoot-em-up, and we were tearing through them. There was theme music playing in the background. The combat was down at the city street level, flying between buildings and ducking under bridges. Then as we turned the corner, we saw a huge alien mothership as it prepared to fire up its main gun. It's target: the local high school. As we moved into attack position, the fighting intensified, and the aliens massed together for the attack. Then the music swelled. And I recognized it. "When some loud braggart tries to put me down And says his school is greatI tell him right away'Now what's the matter buddyAin't you heard of my schoolIt's number one in the state...'" It was Be True To Your School, by the Beach Boys, which had just started playing on my phone at that moment. Needless to say, we defeated the aliens, and saved the high school. Badger
One thing, I was thinking of: With dream interpretation, I don't think it is a one size fits all. I heard one time apocalyptic. end of the world type dreams are about anxiety. But, when I look back, some (but by no means all) dreams that I have like that don't really work that way. I'd say in particular fall of society dreams make me feel somewhat refreshed and free. I theorize that might be due to my occasional misanthropic tendencies. (or maybe because I get to be the bad@$$ rebel or renegade leader guy in some cases in those dreams) oh well, an idea. Burrito Boy
FrankL
I woke up cold in the night last night, so I grabbed a light shirt I keep near the bed for such an occasion, put it on, and went back to sleep. I then woke up cold in the night wondering where my shirt was. No, I hadn't taken it off in my sleep. I had dreamed I put it on. This is the first time I recall a dream of waking up. tkdguy
I was observing a Ping Pong match between the USA and Japan. There was a mixed doubles portion, and I asked the Japanese player, a man, where his partner was. She appeared, and I noticed both Japanese players were blond. The men played for a round, then the women played. I noted the ball bounced under the net during a disputed call. The event was also being televised, with the host occasionally entertaining the audience with music. He then showed this clip about medieval crossbowmen invading a castle and being fought off by Napoleonic-era riflemen as the crossbowmen weere running up a flight of stairs. I turned back to the Table Tennis match, only to find that it had become a Magic: The Gathering tournament, with the host joining in on the action. The cards were as large as 8.5x11 inch sheets of paper. Then I was home painting miniatures. I somehow dripped paint on the leg of my new trousers, so I tried to clean it off. I was miffed because this had happened before on other clothes, and I knew I wouldn't be able to remove the paint completely. The Monkees were performing on stage, when Peter stopped in the middle of the song, and angrily told Micky that he was quitting. He walked off the stage, and Mike decided to join him. Micky and Davy tried to convince their friends to stay but to no avail. They had exited the building, and Peter had cried so much, the place was waist-deep in water. Micky and Davy returned to the stage and tried to entertain the audience with magic tricks. Darkseid was tempting Robin to abandon Batman, saying that the Dark Knight was secretly trying to get rid of him. Robin decided to play along until he decided it was time to reject Darkseid's offer to join him. Of course, Darkseid didn't like that and tried to kill Robin. Darkseid could stretch his arm like Plastic Man, and his fist could punch holes in rocks. Robin was trying to get away when Batman swung into action, defeating Darkseid with mini-grenades. tkdguy
I was supposed to have a meeting with Dracula, and I thought I'd better wear a suit when meeting him. Sure, he's a vampire, but he's still a nobleman, so I thought I'd better look presentable. I found myself in New York. I went up an escalator in a building and exited. I was supposed to go to the 5th floor, but that was for some reason located on the ground floor of another building across the street. It was raining. I didn't have a hat, but I did have my trenchcoat. At least I'd be mostly dry even if my head got soaked. I asked a woman why the supposed 5th floor of a building was actually located in another building. She explained it was a New York thing; outsiders wouldn't understand. I walked into the other building...
Enforcer84
Not weird, just sad. It's 4am and I'm here because I woke up crying. Dreamed of the puppy Jenny and I had when we got married and he was just sitting there as if waiting for permission to jump up on the bed and I was trying to call to him and I had no voice. I miss that little dork. Old Man and tkdguy
