Galactic Champions Content Question

Let me start by saying I'm not sure if this is in the right place. Anyways this question is for the staff of HERO games and I most likely already know the answer but I wanted to be sure.

In the main book for Galactic Champions it mentions the future versions of some villians like VIPER and Firewing but none of the immortals from other Champions books. Is this because it is assumed they were destroyed in the big battle mentioned at the start of GC or that they are still around but are no longer villians or are they purposfully left out so that the GM can decide if he wants to add them or not.

I'm fairly certain it was left open for the GM to decide but I wanted to make sure I had not missed something.

Re: Galactic Champions Content Question

There is a Champions 3000 team in the book.

There are only two immortals from the Champions era mentioned in the book - Thalya (an Empyrean, she gets a write-up as a member of C3k) and Cateran (who gets mentioned several times, but no write-up).

All other known immortals are either explained away (Takofanes is dead) or simply not mentioned. Mechanon and The Slug get special treatment.

I was kind of saddened there was no Cateran 3000. It's mentioned that she and Thalya hung out several times, and that she fought alongside the Champions when Vhan invades again. She has potential to become an interesting person over the millennium.

Re: Galactic Champions Content Question

I daresay that if you wanted Cateran in a Galactic Champions campaign,

it wouldn't be all that difficult to update her for the 31st Century. Just give

her the appropriate skills for the era and you're good to go. After all, she was

around well before the beginning of the Superheroic Age in the Champions

Universe, so it's a safe bet that when the forces that allowed the existence

of super-powers disappeared from it in the early 21st Century, that she

retained her immortality.

Unless, of course, she was killed somehow in the years immediately following

the Superheroic Age.

In the CU she does survive all the way to 3000, at least. I just wanted her whole story updated. Would have been kinda cool IMO.
