Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore

For Super Bowl this year we're going to be making Irish Nachos.

To that end we bought a deep fryer. Tonight we tested it out. ZOMG!

The main concern is not the food being photographed (the restaurants seem to see it as good publicity), but rather the problems posed to other diners by photography (flash photography in particular).

At least it's for charity? :nonp:

Hopefully something involving research about heart disease.

In other news ... my wife and I hit the Taco Bell drive-through on the way home from the clinic today. She tried one of the new Potato 'Loaded Grillers'. Potatoes, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits. "Like a loaded baked potato ... in a tortilla."

GENIUS.

The Big Nasty Sandwich is a biscuit with fried chicken breast, cheddar cheese and sausage gravy pouring out of every side. The chicken is pan-fried in a mix of peanut oil and bacon fat.

Where can I get one?

Yep. I have no issue with cracking down on flash photography.

Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore

A chain in my area was recently advertising this on the TV:

Thats a hamburger with pulled pork, onion rings, sliced cheese, and barbeque sauce. Now I am massively overweight and in general will eat anything, but even I looked at that and thought "heartattack on a bun". Of course there is something to be said for dying happy so I may just have to try it.

I haven't had the Six Dollar version of that at Carl's Jr (or Hardee's, if you prefer), just the regular sized one... and it was just okay. Nothing to risk your life over.
