I generally avoid buffets.

The last buffet that I paid for was an Asian buffet on the other side of town, about a year ago. It was about $30 a person, and featured fresh sushi (as in made in front of you in small batches). That's also about the average for the "all you can eat" sushi places, though they generally have a 2 hour timer.

Our employee dining room at work draws its food from the buffet kitchens, but it generally leaves off the more expensive items. Breakfast is generally okay, lunch ranges from okay to bad (depending on who is working), and dinner is generally good. Meals are free for employees. Food is markedly better at the resort properties and corporate, worse at some of the smaller properties.

There are a number of high-end buffets at various properties around town. Caesars Entertainment offers a Buffet of Buffets pass for $60 to $80 that's good for 24 hours at multiple buffets at their properties.

Golden Corral moved into town a few years ago, I've never been to one. Furr's exited town about 10 or 15 years ago. Sizzler exited town about 4 or 5 years ago.

I went to a golden corral last week and I found it a pleasant experiance. I thought it would be a economical way to feed a growing family.

Certainly not very ethical of the drivers, but I'd hope that the meat dodgers would learn something from this experience.

They're eating a high-carb disaster called a Whopper and they LOVED it.  Humans. Are. Omnivores.

I had tried a Beyond Famous Star with cheese at Carl's Jr a few weeks ago. The patty tasted ok, but was really chewy. According to their webpage, I could have saved myself 40 calories (mainly through fat)  and about 300mg of salt if I had the one with meat.

Today I Learned... There are such things as vulture bees. They feed on rotting meat rather than pollen. They still make honey.

Corpse honey.

 😲

Now we just need a mad scientist to breed killer bees with vulture bees to get an apocalyptic scenario going.

Swarms of killer vulture bees are devouring people and crops alike as they descend upon [insert city your heroes are located in here].
