All of a sudden they draw some strange kind of pistols on you. They seem as puzzled as you are. "Kira to Security, send a team to transporter room 5." Yes, it's a transporter 'accident', thanks to our friendly neighbourhood Q. Course, since Sisko punched him, he's been reluctant to appear in person and is currently watching from, well, somewhere, and you won't even find out about him for a month. Meanwhile, when Jadzia Dax and Kira Nerys beamed back up from a Bajoran religious festival, you came with. If you protest innocence, and explain, they'll soon believe you, backed with some technobabble that you may or may not understand. You apparently have no way of getting to your home universe, but they have offered quarters, and even a position of responsibility on the ship if you show some prowess (that is 'skill' not 'powers'). "There are no less than 20 different intoxicants present in his system, and a dozen more chemicals I can't even identify! By all rights, he should be in a coma!" "I think I wrote this Mary Sue story when I was a teenager," they'd both say. Did I mention that they're long-time SF fans, and writers of same? Neither of them will be shy about saying so either, because they hate idiot plots in which characters don't share important information with one another. Assuming they really can't go back? Stay on DS9 for a while. Learn how Dabo actually works. Try out the holodeck. Schmooze with Dr. Bashir (who is kind of cute). Hell's Angel will ultimately go back to earth--as a human torch-style character with angel wings, the confines of a spaceship or space station aren't her cup of tea. Iron Maiden (a flying brick) is more likely to stay around DS9 and participate in their numerous adventures. If either of them can't either stay on DS9 or on the Enterprise, they'll return to earth--the only three locations in the Trek galaxy that are reasonably secure from complete annihilation.... He'd fit right in with the Federation's bureaucracy. In fact he was modelled on Leland T. Lynch, Geordi's predecessor as Chief Engineer. Arman Fiore was a young handsome mercenary horndog. He'd probably get retraining to pilot spaceships, and then steal a cargo ship from the Federation to go out and start a smuggling business. The Fed is just too boring for him. Luciano Fiore was a old cunning mercenary spy. He'd go into business buying and selling information. Vox was a rebel propagandist. He'd find some culture whose administration he did not approve of and violate the heck out of the Prime Directive. Yes, I know the most obvious idea for a lot of characters, especially Kirk-esque characters, is to hook up with a different Babe/Hunk/Being each week or so. That's why I had you immediately surrounded by Dax and Kira, after the transporter 'accident', then Bashir and Sisko while they check that you are healthy and not a threat. Flirt away! Edit: 5.) Yeah, it is an obvious 'Mary Sue' set up. I want to know how much your character's, whether Super Heroes or Star Heroes, would indulge in attempted Mary Sueing. Of my characters that would be more "Star Hero" than super and I'm unfortunetly blanking on some names. The guy that was a medical officer in a 40k universe. "Wait, you don't just replace damaged parts with a weapon?" Once he got convinced that the Emperor and such weren't anywhere near, he would not want to go back to his old universe. This one is much happier. Terri Tanaka, Science Police: She'd definitely would help out on the side of good, though her TK powerset may confuse the heck out of even Star Trek Physics. On the hero side, Ice Pirate would work for the best fit, with her science background and nothing that would break the Star Trek Universe too badly. Guest Major Tom Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 Re: Transporter Accident Powerstar, being the kind of man that he is, would keep being a super- hero; the only change would be that he'd have to be a bit more discreet in how he goes about it (not being in costume/uniform, using only those powers that would attract the least attention, etc). Although he wouldn't actively join Starfleet, he would observe the Non-Interference Directive; as something of a historian, he recognizes that even the most well-intention- ed meddling can have dire repercussions for a culture. And as to how he'd get around the Galaxy, he doesn't need a starship. Given that he has a FTL speed of 8 LY per second, most places in the Galaxy are a few seconds away at most. He'd try to figure out what had happened to his team, and what their current status was. Once he found out that he was in a future identical to Star Trek, he would request a flight back to Earth, where he would scour the archives for information on Mutants and his own team, Legion X. Once he realizes that this may not be the same universe, he would still attempt to make contact with his own time/dimension, and try leaving messages in various places on Earth for his teammate, Kenix Kil (master time traveler) to discover. Then he would take up work as an engineer, learn the proper sciences needed for starship engineering, and find work where possible. Or maybe he would just explore the galaxy on his own? Moon Spectre, (a Moon Knight clone) would pull his own twin Desert Eagles on the transporter techs, disarm them, and then escape the room. He would use his technology scrambling suit (scrambles all sensors so that he appears as a simple blur on any electronic media) to escape security teams, and eventually make his way to the hangar, where he would attempt to steal a shuttle and launch it on autopilot to the nearest planet. Hoping that this would keep the crew distracted, he makes his way to the Captain's quarters, where he ambushes him and demands to know why he has been kidnapped. Once things were sufficiently explained, he would also demand to be returned to Earth, for he is the chosen protector of humanity by the Egyptian god Khons, and his power stems from the light of Luna. He returns to Earth, catches up on current events, tracks down any possible cults of his enemies, and if there are none in this reality, moves to a colony on the moon where he lives forever, until he discovers a way home. That is, unless in this reality Khons cannot grant him eternal life through the power of the moon, in which case he would believe that he has failed as Earth's protector, and strikes out on his own, giving up his heroic identity and adventuring throughout the galaxy. Now, as to my most recent characters... "Bones" - cult researcher in ghostbusters-like campaign - might fill journal after journal with information about the various aliens and artifacts that can be found pretty much anywhere in the Bajoran star system. 'Journey To A Weird Planet', which had Kirk, Spock and McCoy arriving on 20th century Earth. Specifically, on one of TOS's sets during filming. 'Journey To A Weird Planet Revisited', which dealt with the flipside - specifically Shatner, Nimoy and Kelley arriving on the USS Enterprise (as in NCC-1701). Both sets of characters try hard to maintain their respective "covers" until they can sort out what has happened and get back where they belong. Quite entertaining. His formidable psionic abilities would no doubt fascinate the Federation - and make him a target to the bad guys the moment they found out. Vitus would be highly annoyed, to say the least. Navigating away from the detestable Champions universe was already hard enough, now he's been diverted whilst plane-walking AGAIN. May also have some problem convincing the Federation gene cops that his strength and toughness are natural, not the result of genetic engineering. Cheeta and HipHop: "So tell me more about this Risa. In fact they do tell Scotty as soon as they have come to terms with what has happened. But that doesn't mean they don't have to maintain their cover with everyone else. Curufea Posted June 2, 2009 Report Share Posted June 2, 2009 Re: Transporter Accident Unity Dray, being primarily interested in the religious practices of others would shun the Federation quite quickly - spend a few weeks on Bajor studying the Prophets, before moving on to other cultures/races (they're both the same thing in the Trek universe) with minimal Federation contact. However, the altruististic peacekeeping nature of the Federation would draw him into any crisis they had - as a highly skilled, defensive, close combat specialist akin to a Jedi. The Federation is just another governmental body... The Federation has no IDEA what just hit it. The reintroduction of a heavily armed tactical fighter ship is in order. Then she would likely manage to terrorize known space. So, pretty much life as normal, only the whole Warp Drive means life as normal only Faster. Although she probably recognize how impulse engines work and understand the mathematics of a transporter or warp drive being a mathematical genius. (She was discredited for attempting to use artificial gravity to bend space to discover what type of universe she was in.) As for the medical scans....she shows up as an artificial hermaphrodite.
