Enforcer84
Okay, you might have seen my Gunmage or Champion, or what have you. I've decided to try to put together a supherheroic fantasy campaign for my close friends they next time we get to game together. I have a while to put this thing together and I am going to cheat a bit by using the existing CU as the basis for my Fantasy World. With a few tweaks I think it will be pretty easy. Here is the first guy I fiddled with, simply because I like the challenge. I'll post them but, if DOJ decides that its not cool I'll take them down. Here is Sir James Harmon the IV, Grand Defender of the City of Millenia.DefenderVal**Char**Cost**Roll**Notes55****STR*****10******20-****Lift 51.2tons; 11d6 [5]23****DEX*****24******14-****OCV:**8/DCV:**830****CON*****20******15-12****BODY****4******11-23****INT*******13******14-****PER Roll 14-15****EGO*****10******12-****ECV:**525****PRE******15******14-****PRE Attack:**5d614****COM*****2******12-28****PD*********2******Total:**28 PD (15 rPD)23****ED*********2******Total:**23 ED (15 rED)6****SPD*******7******Phases: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 1219****REC*******460****END*****062****STUN***7******Total Characteristic Cost:**120Movement: Running:**6"/12" Flight:**17"/68" Leaping:**11"/22" Swimming:**2"/4"Cost**Powers**END39**Anti Magic Field:**AOE 5" Radius for Dampen Magic: AOE (up to 10" Radius; +1 1/4), Conforming (+1/2); Concentration (0 DCV; -1/2), Increased Endurance Cost (2x END; -1/2) for up to 45 Active Points (39 Active Points) 8**Armor of the Defender, all slots OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)13**1) Armor of Health:**+10 CON (20 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)30**2) Armor of the Grand Defender:**Armor (15 PD/15 ED) (45 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Rune Armor; Personal Will only function for members of the Harmon family; if worn by anyone else it is standard platemail; -1/2)15**3) Defense Arcane:**LS (Eating Character only has to eat once per week; Longevity 200 Years; Safe in High Pressure; Safe in High Radiation; Safe in Intense Cold; Safe in Intense Heat; Safe in Low Pressure/Vacuum; Self-Contained Breathing; Sleeping Character only has to sleep 8 hours per week) (22 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)13**4) Dragon Swiftness:**+2 SPD (20 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)3**5) Mind Protections:**MD (8 points total) (5 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)7**6) Soul Protections:**PowD (10 points) (10 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)23**7) Storm Giant Strength:**+35 STR (35 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2) 310**8) Swiftness of thought:**+5 DEX (15 Active Points); OIF Unbreakable (Enchanted Armor; -1/2)17**9) Wings of the Phoenix:**Flight 17", x4 noncombat (39 Active Points); Restrainable (Blue/white feathered wings that sprout from the back of the armor. He inherited the title from his father James the III two years ago when the elder Sir Harmon was slain defending the Grand City from a dragon who had been forced into servitude by the Order of the Emerald Serpent. James, then a member of the City Guard, got to see his father's noble sacrifice first hand. He has sworn to uphold the family's legacy of heroism and good deeds. He was awarded the armor of the Grand Defender (a family heirloom to tell the truth and the Lord Mayor knows it) and the title of Defender of Millenia. He leads the Champions, a group of seven heroes dedicated to the city. He is quite popular with the citizens of Millenia and the talk of court is often the romantic triangle of himself, the Archmage, Lady Bethany Duquesne, and the popular Bard, Corrianne Saphire.Personality/Motivation:**Tried and true hero with a slightly tragic past (the loss of his father, and grandfather before that). Sir James spends most of his time "on duty" and when forced into court situatiuons, he tends to feel awkward and unwanted. The public delights with tales of his romantic possiblities with his fellow Champions, but the truth is he still holds a candle for his childhood companion and friend Lady Stonebrook.Quote:**"This city is under my protection. Leave or your life shall be forfiet."Powers/Tactics:**Thanks to his training, Sir James is a skilled warrior even without his heavily enchanted armor. With it however, he becomes a nearly unstoppable force for justice in the Grand City. Although no longer a member of the city guard he still feels a strong kinship with them and often accompanies patrols. He would prefer to end situations without violence and tends to use his Ward of Imprisonment to keep his foes at bay until they can be arrested. Failing that he will use the Celestial Beam to subdue them. Make no mistake though, he can and will use deadly force if the situation warrents it.Campaign Use:**Appearance:**A handsome knight. He has brown hair and eyes. His family's colors are blue and gold and their Heraldric Standard is a golden Phoenix on a white field surrounded by a blue ring. The armor of the grand defender is consists of a white underlayer covered by heavier blue plates with golden details. A golden Phoenix is on his chest. The helmet has wings on either side. When he activates the Wings of the Phoenix, blue-white feathered wings spring from the back of his armor. They can be restrained causing him to fall but they are only targets when in use. Enforcer84
Anyways, this would go Into FH or Champions but since its both Genre's rolled into one...HERE it is. The characters need only pay for Magic Items they don't want to lose. I'm going to allow equipment (to a certain degree)

He was one of the darlings of the court, popular with the ladies and scion of a wealthy noble family. Marcus had a favorite uncle, his father's younger sibling who was an investigator with the City Guard, he found his uncles tales to be facinating, and his uncle always commented on his quick wit and deductive skill. Marcus occasionally played with the idea of joining the Investigators, but that was along ways away, afterall he was just a boy. What he didn't count on was that the Order of the Emerald Serpent was looking at his father's business as the perfect front for their activities in Millenia City. When Lord Marcus was but a lad of 10, his father hired a new business manager. The man, Corucio Lassengdell was an excellent aid. He was also a member of the Order. For seven years Corucio was a loyal and honest friend to the elder Lord Whitaker. Then, once he had procured absolute trust from his employer, he summoned assassins to kill the Lord and his son (leaving a berieved widow for him to marry). The betrayal was set up so that Lord Whitaker would die during a trip to the coast city of Hudson's Bay. The elder Lord Whitaker proved smarter than Corucio had expected and sensed something was wrong. He sent his servant and guardian Xian to watch is son, rather than accompany him as he would normally do. He sent his wife to her sister's for the duration of the trip and told 17 year old Marcus to watch the manor. When the assassins struck, Corucio and Lord Whitaker were alone. Lord Whitaker fell without too much trouble. The assassins sent after young Marcus were deteced and defeated by Xian. Another ally of Lord Whitaker, Penburk the Alchemist, used a few potions he had concocted to make the one assassin that Xian left alive believe that he had succeeded in his mission. Three days later when Corucio petitioned the council with Lord Whitaker's will naming him as the heir to the business should anything happen to Lord Whitaker and Marcus, the young lord appeared out of the crowd and announced that would not be necessary. His face pale, Corucio greeted his young lord back to the court. Marcus explained his absense saying he had been mourning the deaths of his father and favorite uncle. Corucio excused himself and was never seen again. Marcus pieced together the identies of the assassins, and in order to protect his mother from possible reprisals maintained a public identity as a disinterested, playboy. Behind the scenes, Marcus trained with Xian in Kung Fu and worked with a young member of the City Guard's investigation devision, to weed out the Order's activities in Millenia. When he was sure that he had achieved enough proficiency as a warrior, Lord Marcus adopted the identity of the mysterious Knight of the Hawk. He fought a shadow war against crime in Millenia. When the Lord Mayor Portis Biselle organized the original Champions of Millenia as a public "order" of heroes, the young Knight of the Hawk was asked to join. He accepted and worked well with the leader, Grand Defender James Harmon III. However, he had assumed that he would be named leader when James fell fighting the dragon, Kurse. When James IV was given the armor and leadership, Marcus bristled. He still works well with his team but feels that Defender is unworthy of leadership.Personality/Motivation:**Losing his father and uncle to the forces of evil pretty much turned Lord Marcus' life updside down. His idle interest in crime solving as a child has been turned into his life's work. He is no longer an idle noble, though he plays one to protect his mother and identity when he fights crime.Quote:**"You may feel that your Serpent has the world in its coils, but I own the skies and this city is under my protection."Powers/Tactics:**A skilled warrior in Kung Fu, a combat art from the mysterious east, Marcus is a physical marvel. He traines constantly, and has added some alchemical weapons to his arsenal since starting as the Knight of the Hawk. As the KotH, Marcus will attempt to scope out his opponents and find their weaknesses if at all possible. He is quite capable in combat and his quickness and agility generally allows him to get the drop on others.Campaign Use:**Appearance:**A handsome young noble with a dueling scar on his face (the only time I dueled!) and a lithe, muscular build, he manages to hide behind dandy-ish clothes. As the Knight of the Hawk, he wears a black, dragon hide, leather fortified with silver mithril breast plate, pauldrons, helm, and thigh guards. He also wears a black cloak to make him more mysterious. As the Knight, he adopts a far more serious and intimidating tone.

JmOz
On the Knight of the Hawk: Most of the things I see on him make him sound to modern, the things I would change for this is just changing some names Get rid of the refrence to the "Swinggun", but keep the power Change all the Pellets in his UT belt to "seeds" or "potions" Change the name of his UT belt (Belt pouches, works) Okay rules wise there is only one, but it is costing you 15 points, on the first follower (the 20 point one) you should just take x4 followers
Enforcer84
Good points all. I will tinker with him. I am hemming and Hawing at what I will use as a magic system. Its not going to be as open ended as Superhero Magic, but if I limit it too much then the wizards really start to suffer. Once I decide what magic will look like, I will put together, the Archmage of Millenia (Witchfire), the Bard (Sapphire) the Elemental Prince (Obsidan/Ironclad amalgam), and then? I am probably going to bring the group up to 7. Add a priest of one of the heroic dieties, and I'm trying to figure a way to add Kinetik. steriaca
Re: Superheroic Fantasy and I'm trying to figure a way to add Kinetik. Simple, Kinetik is a fea creacher...more suspicafly a Quickling. As for his new name...Kin The Racer should work for the name mortals (non-fea/non-elf) call him. Just an ideal...
Enforcer84
Re: Superheroic Fantasy Very Cool. I was looking at Ironclad to be an Iron Golem who gained sentience and then travelled to the far off kingdom of Malva, fought in Emperor Thone's arena for the chance to have his form given life by the God-King Zerstoiten the First in the neighboring kingdom of Destruga.
