Re: Quote of the Week From My Life.

At work today, one of my co-workers was looking for a gizmo one of my other co-workers had. So, the second co-worker goes digging through the piles on his desk. As he finds it and hands it over he says...

"Here it is! It was behind my junk."

Re: Quote of the Week From My Life.

You need some new ties. Though I do have some boots that old.

I do have some newer ones, I just never got rid of some of the older ones that still look good. Fortunately, the last time I had to wear a tie was to my last job interview, almost 7 years ago. And, IIRC, I wore one of my really old ties.

I *do* want kids... Chicago-style... :D

You murder the parents with a Tommy gun, take pity on the crying infants, and take them in as you own??

Or is that Chicago gang style I'm thinking about...?

I have ties older than him.

I do too, but then, I have some times that are older than me. They were my dad's and he never threw that sort of thing out, and they came out of my dad's stuff when he died in 2002.

Handed in old number plates today. One of the ways we're considering disposing off the old car is donate it to the fire service so they can practise putting out vehicle firs.

Traffic department worker
: What's happening to the vehicle?

Me
: We're giving it a Viking funeral.

Re: Quote of the Week From My Life.

I once tried to talk someone into giving a deceased pet hamster a Viking funeral. She wouldn't go for it.
A guy in my gaming group did that with his cat. The thing was 17 and he'd had it since he was 11 or 12.

We had a viking funeral for a turtle. He was burned in a trash drum -- the way he would have wanted it.
