I've several editions of Car Wars and expansions. I keep toying with the idea of Autoduel Hero. I don't have Autoduel Champions. Curses. I think I'd be inclined to use the Car Wars design system and translate the end result into Hero terms, rather than attempt to come up with a full design system that allows for mass and volume to play a role.
