Create a Villain Theme Team!

The Coalition is a group of politically themed villains:

Terror-Tory is the leader, an extreme right wing-nut, he is a mercenary for hire, but he prefers jobs involving oppressing the poor and attacking minorities.  He is extremely homophobic and misogynistic.  His strange powers include the ability to manifest a nose almost anywhere that he can then look down and he can create a sense of foreboding and fear wherever he goes.  Despite all this he remains unaccountably popular, especially with the elderly.

Difficult Labour (aka Caesarian) is the team brawler.  She is constantly covered in coal dust for some reason and uses a variety of industrial implements to mete out damage to those who stand in the way of the tide of historical inevitability, often quite ineffectually.  She has a firm belief in determinism, but she usually derails her own plans at the last moment.  She is constantly arguing with Terror-Tory, often to the detriment of both of them.  Despite professing broad tolerance she is desperately anti-semitic, which is about the only thing she and Terror-Tory agree on, well, that and their secret liaisons that they are both disgusted and excited by.

DUP! is the raging, incoherent monster who, despite being a newcomer to the team often dictates its actions if only by doing something utterly deranged that the rest of the team are obliged to dig him out of.  It appears that he holds something over Terror-Tory, but everyone is confused as to what that might be.

YouKip is a psychic character who can duplicate himself a large number of times, but only for short periods and put people to sleep by repeating the same trite phrases over and over.

Sean, this is not how we do things on this thread.

1) The person who finishes the last group gives the theam of the new group.

2) Each person who wants to summit a villain does so, one at a time, till the number of villains in the team as stated by the one who gave the theam is filled.

This is not a thread to post your team like you did. If you want to do it, simply create your own thread for it.

MisUnderstanding is a villain who is talented at disarming opponents, often getting the wrong end of the stick entirely.

Is that better?

Close, but has nothing to do with the current theam. The theam was on the last page.

This is the theam, as stated by Death Trible (cut and paste via copy):

New Team: Lives of the Great Commanders

You know how some people believe themselves to be famous military commanders like Napoleon or Julius Caeser and end up in the lunatic asylum ? Well these people believe themselves to be descendants or reincarnations of famous military leaders and can operate in society without appearing like a mad person. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to detail a member of the group with the following provisos:-

There are a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10

They can be men or women and they can be male descendants of say Joan of Arc or female descendants of Julius Caeser.

They can have almost any powers but they all have a charisma, presence and tactical acumen which outs them ahead of the mass of humanity.

They all work well together and rotate leadership as missions dictate.

No more than a third of the total can come from one country's history. So at most 2 if there are 5-7 members pr 3 if there are 8-10 members can come from say Roman history or Greek or American Civil War. Also if you have someone based off U.S. Grant, George Washington and George Patton that equally fills a quota for an 8-10 member team.

They have to be a military leader so George Washington is valid, Lincoln is not.

MisQuote: A villain who has a photographic memory for quotes but constantly uses them inappropriately.  She's distantly related to Boromir.

How's that?

I thought you set the theme when you said that wasn't how you do things on this thread.  I was trying to start a politically themed villain group subthread, but obviously misunderstood how things work around here.

I'll include the Coalition as a separate team on the lists of villains.

As for MisQuote and MisUnderstanding you have not specified what military leader they are descended from for the Lives of the Great Commanders team. Therefore we are assuming that these are not for inclusion.

Would it help if you saw the full lists of Hero and Villain teams that have been created to date ? There are over 300 villain teams and 200 plus hero teams.

So as a recap for everyone we have one American for the team. We should not have another until we have three other nationalities.

Shogun

Tokugawa Haruki claims descent from Tokugawa Ieyasu and as such considers himself a Shogun. He is a proficient martial artist and has mastered the old Samurai weapons and modern ones. He is a superb tactician and has no problems working with men or women of whatever ethnicity or religion. When he is in charge he sports Samurai armour and when he is following orders he dresses appropriately whether stealth or outright force is needed.

You are right, I did not mention that MisUnderstanding was a descendant of Abraham Lincoln, but I did record MisQuote's familial relationship to Boromir.

MissIonImpossible: able to accelerate to lightspeed, but only very slowly.  Related to Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow.

So far we have two entries. All of Sean Waters ones are invalid as Boromir, Lee Adama and Edge of Tomorrow are fiction. And I get the distinct feeling that he is trolling this thread at present or am I 'miss'-ing something ? Military leaders means people like Julius Caeser, Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Blucher and Wellington.

Harry Nelson insists he is a direct descendant of Lord Horatio Nelson.  Okay, so there's absolutely no physical proof to his claim, but he does have an incredible strategic mind, especially in battles at sea.  He is able to create telekinetic constructs of various gunboats and even submarines (though he needs to be inside the construct in order to keep it going when underwater), though keeping more than two or three going at once can be very draining on him.  Because of his famous relation, he calls himself The Vice-Admiral.

Sean, in case you are truly misunderstanding how this thread works (hey, IIRC it happened before, I believe with Cassandra), here's how it goes:

A team is proposed (in this case, death tribble's Lives of the Great Commanders), with an overarching theme (in this case, famous military leaders) and a number of members.  Other people then post members (which fit the theme) to make up that team.  Typically, people only name / describe one team member per post, but are allowed to post more than one member.  (It's considered polite, however, to not dominate a team by proposing most / all of the members.)

Whomever posts the last member to the team can then propose the next team (name, theme, and number of members), and people then post members to that team.  But not the team plus all the members.  That kinda defeats the purpose.

When team membership is more fluid (like in this case, with minimum 5, maximum 10 members), people tend to allow a bit of time before going on to a new team.  If things have stalled for a few days and we're above the minimum number, the last poster may then propose the next team.

Just trying to inject some humour :) .  I rarely venture outside the rules discussions and this is probably why.  The Coalition would probably be funny enough to someone who is British, less so to anyone else.

As for the military commanders, I checked and the examples you gave are real, but there is no stipulation they be real historical figures, just famous and military commanders so fiction is not precluded.  Abe Lincoln was a Captain it the military before he was President and is famous so he does count.  He was also CiC later on according Article Two of the the Constitution.  Rules are my thing, when it suits me ;)

MissTery: A villain with the power to appear and then disappear, leaving behind a sense of confusion and debate as to whether she existed at all.  She is the last known descendant of Sun Tzu.

...and we're out...

The Bull

blessed with great strength this Frenchman claims direct descent from Marshal Foch who was supreme commander of the Allies at the end of the Great War. He tends to charge at opponents and is known as Ferdinand or Il Taureau. He is known as The Bull to most people as some can get confused with the zodiac sign Taurus otherwise.

His plans are usually the most direct but are not foolhardy.

This makes six. One American, One Mongolian, one Japanese, One British, one French and one African (Southern).

A second one of these nationalities is now possible. And the team can be ended at the end of that one or the following three.

The bloodline is supposed to be extinct but it has survived for over 2,200 years. It may not have thrived but it still exists which is quite an achievement considering who is destroy it. Annabella is a direct descendent of Hannibal Barca and uses invisibility to pass unnoticed when she needs to disappear. She has a suite of energy powers which she uses to carry the fight to the enemy. She has trained herself to work with the others as team support so that when one of them is in charge, she can faithfully act as the poor bloody infantry. She expects the same dedication if not loyalty when she is in charge.

She is a Moroccan woman who can pass unnoticed in both the Arab and Christian world.
