Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Nicholas Saluc paced the confines of his cell, biding his time. Only six paces from door to wall, but if you walk back and forth enough times, even that small a distance can burn off a few calories. And those nimrods running Stronghold wouldn't give him sugar cookies and eggnog every day like he requested. Between the pacing, the diet, and the heat in his cell (he complained nearly every week that it wasn't warm enough), he was almost literally burning off the pounds and no longer looked like a "jolly old elf."

The man who called himself Insane-t Nick stopped in front of the heating vent for what seemed the hundredth time today, as he had done every day since getting marched into his cell at Stronghold, rubbing his hands in front of the vent as if unable to get them warm. The truth is, it was all an act for the guards watching on camera. He had been biding his time until the week before Christmas when his powers returned. And he could feel them building.

He touched a finger to the side of his nose, felt the spark, and smiled. This time instead of "warming" his hands, he reached out and touched the small vent, one hand on each side. With a crackle of energy and a sweep of his hands (and a rending of the local space-time), the vent appeared to become a large chimney. Nick turned to the camera and gave it a wink, then stepped through the dimensional portal. As it shrank back to a normal heating vent, Nick could hear the alarm sirens sound. He was free. He just hoped his friends were ready to take away some holiday cheer from all the "good" girls and boys.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Wow, 9 villains in just over two days, great theme team idea.

Let's make it 10. Spoilered for language and really bad poetry.

Twas the night after Christmas, and all through the stable

Came the sound of soft moaning, like you might hear on cable

Now don't get upset, if even you care.

For only two of the reindeer were there.

Dasher was running as fast as he can,

While Dancer and Prancer twirled cross the land.

Comet and Donner and Blitzen were gone,

So Vixen and Cupid where getting it on.

When through the door there came such a fright,

Rudolph was home and he'd had a rough night.

His nose was all red from the beer that he drank,

He looked quite a mess and frankly he stank.

"Wheres is he at?" He asked of the pair,

who laid in the loft, totally bare.

"The fat man, the lard butt, who thinks hes so hot

I think it's high time we see what he's got"

"I've had quite enough of dragging his sleigh,

pulling his ass, how much does it weigh?

It's high time he paid for his crimes!"

(Sorry folks, can't think of something that rhymes)

So he pulled out a knife and he waved it around

The other two reindeer made not a sound.

He snarled and he swore and then he fell down

And puked up a mess all over the ground.

Suddenly behind him there came "HO HO HO"

"I think it's time for Drunk Rudolph to go"

Santa was there, in his suit and cap

and he'd had about enough of this Reindeer's crap.

Rudolph grabbed his knife and leapt from the floor,

Stabbed the old man, left him covered in gore.

Then he fled from the scene as fast as he could.

Ran from the stable and hid in the wood.

He swore he would end all holiday cheer

(Whenever he wasn't too drunk on cheap beer)

Now he stalks the streets of the city by night

Mugging Christmas shoppers and giving them a fright

So pay attention all you eager young lads

Who love Christmas shopping with your moms and your dads

Make sure you stay somber, don't act all chipper

Or you might get a visit from Rudolph the Ripper.

RE: Rudolph the Ripper -- I regret that I am only allowed to rep a post once.

It's too late for this year's December issue of Haymaker!, but I think this crew needs to be written up for next year. And that poem would make a perfect Background/History as-is.

One more will finish the team. I'll defer to whomever wants to do so and name the next team.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Baktun, Herald of the Coming Doom has been around for a long time. A Very Long Time. He was one of the first people settled on the earth when the Gods created the fourth world and it was he who first prophesied the end of this world and the start of another on the forth coming date. He was originally supposed to be a High Priest of the Gods on Earth but rebelled against them and was cursed with Eternal Life and the Knowledge of the coming. While at first he rebelled against this fate, now, at over 5000 years old he longs for an end to his existence.

But there is a problem. With the death of the mayans their gods power over the earth has waned. New gods from countless other religions have sprung up and claim dominance over this world. These gods have overwritten the prophecy of old to change the fate of Earth and its Humanity. To Baktun this is simply unacceptable, for if the fateful day passes and the world does not end he will be doomed to wander the earth for all eternity and beyond.

So to prevent this from happening he has formed the group known as The Obsidian Mirror. He has recruited a team of both devout and gullible priests and convinced them that they must ensure the end of the world will happen by gathering certain lost relics and performing a mystical ceremony to restore the Old Gods to power in time for them to fulfill their prophecy.

All across the globes, mystics who were at first skeptical of the claims of the impending doomsday are starting to have violent dreams and nightmares of the coming apocalypse as the mystic world once again girds its loins in preparation for a climactic battle.

The man called Malo was the first recrute. Enchanted with enchantments from Balor himself (using secret rituals clubed together over the centuries stolen by his gods), Malo is extremly strong, agail, and rugged. He is, also, literly heartless (haveing volentenly had it removed in a dark parody of the sun renual ritual).

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Being the victim of a cult sacrifice can really mess with your mind. Just ask Dr. Jared Cramer, an acclaimed Mesoamerican anthropologist who ran afoul of a DEMON operation in the Yucatan peninsula.

Being sliced with sacrificial blades and bleeding out was painful enough, but having his body consumed by mystic flames caused Dr. Cramer’s mind to completely snap. Nobody knows whether he was secretly a mutant, or perhaps DEMON’s magic backfired spectacularly. Whatever the cause, however, Cramer managed to hold onto a semblance of “life” even though he is now mostly a skeleton covered with patches of flame-blackened flesh and a few charred vital organs. He struck back at the DEMON Brothers and Morbane, killing all of them with a lethal touch that causes anything organic to begin rapidly decomposing.

Taking the name Yum Cimil, he believes himself to be the physical representation of the Mayan death god on this plane of existence. In addition to his deadly touch, he also has a lesser-known psychic ability to mentally “touch” targets and cause their minds to unravel. He uses these abilities, along with his extensive knowledge of Mayan culture and mythos from his academic life, to further the Obsidian Mirror’s ends.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

I did the last group so someone else should probably do the next

Well, since no one else wants to take it. A recent episode of Bleach revealed the Espada's aspects of death. So......

Team: Death Squad

Members' powers follow one of those 10 aspects of death. Which are: Solitude/Loneliness, Time (Aging/Decay), Sacrifice, Emptiness, Despair, Destruction, Intoxication, Madness, Greed, Rage. (I think they are accurate, I had to re-look at them on the bleach wikia page).

Members: While 10 would obviously be optimal. If we can get at least 6, it'll be enough. Then we can decide to keep going or not.

Crazy Ivan

Supposedly a Russian, no-one can get close enough to Crazy Ivan to find out for sure without being driven mad. His colleagues are immune to his power but he also uses normal things like guns and knives and explosives to make people mad or boost his colleagues power. I mean if you hurt a loved one does not that drive them to despair or rage ? will not some people sacrifice themselves to save others ? does not madness lead to destruction ? Or an emptiness that can only be cured by intoxication ? either way because he does use things like this that people tend to underestimate him and that leads to madness. he is not the leader of the group. That would be insane.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

It's strange to see him as part of a team, but Solo was one of the first members of Death Squad. (He says joining a team was actually his therapist's idea, and he's pretty sure it's a bad one.) A very morose individual, he doesn't connect at all with others. He is a mentalist with the standard suite of psionic powers -- telepathy, mental blast, minor mind control -- but his signature move is an incredibly realistic mental illusion that the target is completely, hopelessly alone on the planet.

The Boozehound can always be found chugging down some alcoholic substance or other. But, he never seems to really get all that drunk. Not so lucky are his opponents in the vicinity, they always seem to stumble and slur, the more the Hound drinks the worse they get.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Let's see, we have remaining: Time (Aging/Decay), Sacrifice, Emptiness, Despair, Madness, and Greed.

Most people would love to be effectively invulnerable to harm, but not Enid Hallowell. She never thought much of her lack of injury throughout her life, until the Thanksgiving day she, her husband, and their newborn daughter were driving down the interstate on their way to his parents' house. Her husband had just cut between two semi trucks to exit the freeway when the accident occurred. All Enid remembers is bright lights, the blast of an air horn, and screams. Oh, the screams. They still haunt her nights.

Enid woke up in the hospital to learn that her husband and daughter were dead, their bodies so mangled in the wreck that she couldn't even see them to say goodbye. Not surprisingly, she became suicidal but learned that nothing she did could hurt her. Guns, knives, falls, hanging, not even poison. The doctors said she was an "instantaneous regenerator," able to heal damage as fast as it could be done to her. She still feels pain (albeit not fully), but the damage is fleeting at best.

When she heard about Death Squad, she hoped maybe one of them could end her endless nightmare and sought them out. She was distressed to learn that none of them could kill her either, but she did find healing of a different sort in Dolzilla. Enid felt the young girl needed a mother figure, and who better than Enid? She has even started to refer to Dolzilla as her daughter (make of that what you will -- she was already around the bend mentally beforehand, so a little delusion isn't all that unexpected).

Taking the name Endure, she will throw herself in front of anything or anybody threateing Dolzilla, sacrificing herself to the pain rather than see her new "daughter" get harmed. If necessary, she will sacrifice herself to help other teammates, but not if doing so would put Dolzilla in harm's way.

Dr. Rotwang has a major problem. He has been infected with a virus that causes his internal organs to collapse and rot. Bionics and cloned organs also fail. Anything that stays around him, rots away within a matter of hours. He wants to live but the only way he can is by replacing his systems with others'.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

He has no name, for names bring purpose and identity and he has neither. He has no body, for a body is substance and substance is anathema to his existence. Wherever he goes he leaves nothing behind, but it is more than simply nothing, it is absence of even the knowledge that something is missing. Where he walks people not only forget themselves, they forget that there is anything to forget. He is the most terrifying evil to walk the face of the earth, for where he goes emptiness follows. How do you fight something that isn't there? How do defeat a void?

How do you defend yourself, from Nothing
