Red Rage

You know the Hulk is angry well Red Rage s always angry. Nothing can pacify him indeed attempting to calm him down causes him pain which makes him angry. As does being shot, clubbed etc. And when he is really angry he can let loose a bellow of rage which makes everyone else angry and set them in a Red Rage. So when fighting him heroes have to try and keep him away from others particularly civilians. But not make him angry that he can make others angry. Curiously his team mates are immune to his power. Again he is not the leader ans his power is not conducive to leadership.

New team: The Rogue Battalion http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/80447-Create-a-Hero-Theme-Team!?p=2388211#post2388211

Concocted from various other villain teams The Rogue Battalion has been a thorn in the side of law enforcement since 1992. The Battalion are brawlers and mayhem makers rather than psychopaths. Although they have killed they are not on the Most Wanted list as they are not wanton killers. Most famous for the disappearance of the Fearless Five and for pity's sake do not mention that to them, the Rogues continue to be in existence despite members being imprisoned. They have been lead since inception by The Colonel, Whitfield Cornell ex Marine Corps. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to list a member of the team from any part of its history with the following provisos:-

Any psychopath will have been dealt with before the disappearance of the Fearless Five;

Any member who embezzled funding will have been caught and killed so if you wish to have a character who betrayed them go ahead, but they will have been executed within a year of their departure; No betrayers since 2005 (if at all).

DO NOT DO THE COLONEL !

Seven members excluding any I do.

The Silver Claw

The Silver Claw is a loyal member of The Rogue Battalion, and the obediant enforcer to The Colonel, haveing worked with him in the armed forces before the incadent which took his right arm. Now, his arm is replaced with a mechanical claw with vareous abilities and uses. He can fire it like a grapeling hook, abeling him to climb, swing, and grab things at a distant. It is much stronger than an organic arm. He can use it as a type of shield. He can rip things with his built in claws. And he can electrfie it to act like a tazer, if needed.

His loyatly is with The Colonel first, then to the unity of The Rogue Battalion second. He has eliminated quite a few trators to the Battalion in the years (always under orders, as he would never kill someone without proof of tratorisem and orders to do so).

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Brant Nelson was a huge computer geek. Of course that usually led to him getting picked on and harassed in school. Brant channeled his resulting anger into learning how to hack various databases to seek his revenge. He broke into the police database and swapped some files around so that one bully's dad wound up with fingerprints on file matching him to a murder investigation. Another bully experienced a bad reaction when his nut allergy was triggered by some creative hacking of the school cafeteria's ordering system. Little "pranks" like this kept his rage under control and he relished the power that came with them.

Then something rather, unusual, occurred. Brent discovered he was actually a mutant. His latent abilities started manifesting one day out of the blue. No sudden rage, no "near death experience". One day his hand just spontaneously caught fire, but didn't hurt him. He quickly learned to manipulate this ability and could now throw fireballs, create rings of fire around targets, etc. He decided at once that maybe this newfound power would be an even better way to get even with those who hurt him. So he decided to attack some bullies the next day at school. Unfortunately for him several members of the Fearless Five were giving a speech that day about bullying and when he showed up in a terrible looking costume and started to attack those that picked on him he was quickly defeated. Fleeing from the scene, battered and bruised, with the laughter of the school children over his easy defeat ringing hollowly in his ears he slunk back home and decided being a "Supervillain" might not be all it was cracked up to be. Fighting was hard.

Unluckily for Brent, "The Colonel" heard of his attack and defeat at the hands of the Five and decided to recruit the young man into his team. When he discovered the boys talents with hacking he knew he had made the right choice.

Under the new name Firewall Brent now serves as the Rogue Battalion's Intelligence Officer. He uses his computer skills far more than his mutant powers, gaining access to secured computer networks, monitoring police frequencies and tracking the activities of the various do-gooders in the area to ensure the Rogue Battalion know's what they are going to be up against and can escape in time. The Colonel has tried to persuade Firewall into a more "active" role in their schemes but he prefers to stay out of the fight, at least for now.........

The man known as Malcontent is a former US Army super-soldier subject. The treatments did indeed increase Sgt. Malcolm Tennant's strength and speed to superhuman levels as expected, but they also amplified some of his personality traits -- most noticeably, impulsiveness and agressiveness. The Colonel recruited Sgt. Tennant to his group before the Army could use an experimental procedure to reverse the super-soldier process.

Malcontent is the Batallion member most likely to disobey The Colonel's orders, especially if those orders involve the Batallion waiting for any prolonged period of time, or Mal having to do anything he might see as "busy work".

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

(Please note this one does not count towards the total)

The Colonel

Whitfield Cornell was on the fast track in the US armed forces. However he made enemies who saw to his discharge so that someone more suitable to them and their aims could be placed in position. Whitfield went underground and decided if he could not lead men for his country, he would lead them against it. He contacted the villainous organisation called the Exchange and offered them a deal. He would do deals with them and in return they would provide him with membership details so that he could form a new villain team. And thus The Rogue Battalion was born. Originally numbering five members, the Battalion became a force to be reckoned with as they followed military discipline and tactics. Well most of the time.

Whitfield has never let on how he came to be faster and stronger than the average soldier but something super had to have happened to him to extend his patience. Because at times leading the Rogues would try the patience of a saint. Despite all his hard work two phrases associated with the Battalion when dealing with foes are 'Get Them !' and Go Get Them !'.

Surprisingly The Colonel has been the only leader of the group for twenty years. His work with the Exchange has meant he was able to pick and choose the members of the team most of the time. He was able to keep the team together in the bad times when over half the team was in prison and when they did not have a lot of money. And a lot of them are loyal to him as a result. And sticking to certain rules helps.

Do not harm children or vulnerable women (ie pregnant ones);

Do not kill for the sake of it;

Don't gloat over a job or a downed target or a target facing you. (This is the one most Rogues break especially 2 and 3).

Hit the target and go;

Watch your team mates backs and cover them;

Potential is a luck based gambling fearless fool. he is the stereotype villain for the kicks where everything goes right for him. he's never been caught for more than two seconds, and always escapes. he is also not one to kill anyone. He's in it for the fun of it, not to hurt people. This also keeps some of the more violent members on track.

Just as everything has the potential for good results, it can also go bad at a moment's notice.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

William Peterson was drummed out of the Marine Corps for his willful disregard of the use of explosives (whether claymore mines, tripwire-triggered flash-bang grenades, or regular thrown grenades). A Corps psychologist said Peterson wasn't homicidal or sadistic; he just loved to see and hear explosions -- the bigger, the better.

The Colonel recruited Peterson into the Rogue Batallion, where he took the name Bang-Flash. He carries a custom drum-fed grenade launcher (with alternating concussion explosion and flash-bang grenades). If stealth is called for, well, then Bang-Flash has to be either disarmed, restrained, or outright sedated, or else he will find a way to get "loud for the crowd."

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Here are a selection of Rogues from the 20 year history of the team.

Blue Shadow. A ninja or martial artist, he was one of the original Rogues. Also famous as their first casualty. During a job in Cleveland in 1994, he was shot by police officers and died of his wound while covering the others' escape.

Iron Hawk 1. One of the first new recruits he was a good team player until the year 2000 when he suddenly went psycho. Fleeing a dressing down by the Colonel, he was killed in an altercation with the Texas Rangers. The team recovered his flight suit later.

Iron Hawk 2. An unnamed individual who was being tested in the flight suit, he attempted to betray the team and was killed by The Silver Claw.

Gold Man, Another mid 90s recruit, he was melted down in 2006. The Rogues have attempted to find out who did this (not the cops or the Govt obviously) and have killed several people linked to the culprit. They are still actively hunting the person or persons responsible down.

Pain Princess A brick who dresses like a WWE or UWWWF wrestler, she joined in 2007. Arrested in 2011 with three other Rogues

Mindmaster. Member 1996-99. Arrested by the Fearless Five. Released on bail in 2002 as a retrial had been ordered. He promptly set up the Rogues in early 2003 and six were captured. Sadly during a routine prison transfer the Colonel got away. He was then able to free only The Silver Claw. It took a couple of months to put together what happened but the Colonel was incandescent with rage when he found out what Mindmaster had done. The Silver Claw was given carte blanche to deal with the traitor while the Colonel rebuilt the team. Mindmaster was caught and killed by The Silver Claw (protected by some very state of the art mental defenses) before the end of the year.

The Alarum. Sonic powered member from 1996 to 2006. Incarcerated since 2006, he brags that the others will break him out. What he does not realise that the team can't stick him and the Colonel will only attempt to free him if there is absolutley no chance in Hades of freeing anyone else.

Rockface. A fixture of the Rogues since joining in 1993, he is the one most often arrested almost every year without fail. He has been in prison since 2010 but the Colonel is working to get him out as he is a three striker.

Dr Devious. Joined 1993. Killed by the Silver Claw in 1997 for attempting a coup against the Colonel

The Major. Formally Lady Night. The team's 2nd in command since 2007, she joined in 2005. A martial artist and tactician, she was one of the four arrested in 2011. This has hurt the Rogues considerably.

Fire Falcon One of the original Rogues, he was killed in 1994 by the American Patriot during the Chicago-San Francisco run.

Kreigerterra. The first female Rogue she joined in 1995. She was killed in 2001 in Los Angeles. No other details available.

Inhuman Weasel. Joined in 1995. Supported the coup by Dr Devious. Fled when the latter was killed. Caught and killed by The Silver Claw

Devil Cop. Joined 1994. The only one of those arrested in 2003 that has stayed in prison. From 1996-99 and 2001-2003, he was second in command.

Yorktown. One of three Rogues who simply vanished without trace. Appatantly The Dreamstealers, The Corruption or Infernal Affairs are responsible. The Colonel has let it be known that for their sakes it had better not be true. Normally The Unknown of Infernal Affairs would have dealt with this as a petty nuisance but he seems to avoid the Rogues for an undisclosed reason.

Magistrate 1 Joined the team in 1998. Stole from them. Summarily executed by The Silver Claw.

Felonious Ferret. Joined in 1995. Silver Claw suspected his loyalty following Devious's attempted coup. Arrested in 1999 by Fearless Five. Escaped and recaptured three times in 2000. He got out in 2002 after the disappearance of the Fearless Five only to be recaptured in 2003. Following his escape in 2004, he was recaptured in 2005 and charged with murder. His case was fast tracked and he was found guilty after which he was executed in 2007. In 2012 evidence emerged which conclusively proved he was innocent.

Please note the next person who posts gets to pick the next team as that will be member No 7.

Elampyra Cassiday is the muscle for the Rogue Battalion. Known as the Lamprey, she tends toward the usual brick tricks when in combat. Authorities are baffled by her escapes in a clouds of smoke when her job as a distraction is over. The explanation is that she is a vampire and turns into mist when her job is done.

Clover

Dressed in a suit of green decorated with three and four leaf clovers, Clover has luck powers and can cause greenery to respond to commands. To the annoyance of some Clover's gender is ambiguous, so people are not sure if it is a man or a woman. Clover however resents being termed a third rate Riddler or a Frank Gorshin wannabe.

The cutest member of Gang Green is Sweet Pea, a petite lass who is very attractive despite her skin being a light green. Many heroes underestimate her, not realizing she is not only an accomplished martial artist, but a shrinker as well. Some suspect she may even have minor mental powers, because so many people fall prey to her "poor innocent me" routine.

Natalia Verde was born in this country, but her parents were Mexican Natives who were here illegally. They were caught when she was 14 and deported but she chose to remain behind with her Aunt who had managed to obtain a Green Card to work in the country. As a youth Natalia was always envious of all the wealth and power of those around her. After dropping out of high school she found a job cleaning houses for the wealthy in her area and was frequently mistreated and looked down upon. One of her employers bought an antique Armoire at auction and tasked her with cleaning it up. While doing so she discovered a hidden compartment which contained a beautiful emerald necklace. Realizing that her employer had no idea that it existed she quickly pocketed it. Since no one knew about it no one would ever realize she had stolen it and she could sell it to get some money and finally leave this life of servitude. When she got home she decided to try it on before selling it because she was enchanted by its beauty. Upon putting it on she discovered that she could hear the thoughts of others and even manipulate them. Her destiny had been changed. She became the villaness known as Envy and used her powers to take what she wanted from those who had more than her. She joined the Gang Green after a desperate run in with a group of heroes, realizing that she would need help if she wanted to remain out of prison.

Dr. Herbert I. Cide's underfunded genetic weed control experiments went horribly awry. Now the modified DNA of noxious weeds has been fused with his own, wreaking havoc on his body and his sanity. As Overgrowth, his thorny body is able to grow rapidly, project prehensile vines, and fire instant-growth seeds at range.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

George Baines leaned over the bridge railing, staring at the dark water below, swirling to match his thoughts. All his life he had worked hard to take care of his family and community, putting off pursuing his own dreams to fulfill his responsibilities. But it had all turned out to be for nothing. His business was collapsing, drowning him in debt. His younger brother, his closest friend, had died fighting in the army oversees. His wife had told him she could no longer deal with his moodiness and outbursts of anger. She left him, and took their children with her. Those he had called friend were too caught up in their own troubles, or their selfish pursuits, to help him. Everything he had held onto in his life was gone. Everything he had hoped to do in his life he let pass by, and now it was too late. Swallowing hard, he swung one leg over the railing.

"I have heard you, George Baines," said a soft voice behind him.

George whirled around, to see a looming shape in the dim light. He made out a figure sitting astride a horse. The horse was gaunt, its ribs jutting through its sickly grey skin, its mane ragged. The person atop the horse (George couldn't tell if it was man or woman) was wrapped in swaths of cloth, grey and dirty and tattered. They formed a crude hood, casting its face in impenetrable shadow. Where its flesh showed through them it was as starved-looking as its horse's. The figure spoke again, its voice a harsh, rattling whisper that somehow carried clearly over the night wind.

"The hunger in your soul has spoken to me, and called me to you. I hear you cry out for hope, for peace, for something to believe in to give your life meaning. There are many, many today who are empty as you, but few who feel it so keenly."

George felt the hair on the back of his neck rise, and his heart shuddered at this uncanny visitation; but embers of angry resentment stirred in him too. "What's that to you?" he snapped. "If you want to mock me, you're too late. I'm not listening any more, I've had enough!"

"I do not mock you, George Baines. I have come to answer your need, to offer you a purpose. A great purpose, one you are supremely qualified for." The figure drew itself up to its full height. "The End Times are upon the world. A great cleansing is coming to sweep away all that is. Once I was a herald of such changes, but my time is past. Too many in the world have forgotten the ache of an empty belly, the suffering of being bereft of physical comfort. But their spirits, their spirits are starving. They wander without purpose, without understanding why they are here and what it means to be human. They know not even what they have lost. They lash out in anger and hatred and fear, but it is Despair that drives them. Despair will pull them all down into the night, where they will stand by helplessly as the Apocalypse overwhelms them."

"That is why I have come to you, George Baines. To offer you the mantle of a Horseman of the Apocalypse. To share what you understand so well, to spread it over the world. To be the herald of Despair, so that all may know the End Times have come."

George stood rooted to the spot, part of him overwhelmed by horror at what he heard. Yet another part of him exulted: at last, everyone would understand what they've done to me. Every ignorant, callous fool would feel the truth, the hideously mocking emptiness of life. What I've been through wasn't for nothing -- it's all led me to this!

George looked squarely into the shadows beneath the hood. "What do I have to do?"

The figure swung out of his saddle: "Take your perilous seat." George had never ridden a horse in his life, yet he climbed up and settled into the saddle as though he were born to it. He felt the tattered rags drape over his shoulders and wrap themselves around his body. He felt, too, a vast weight of hopelessness fall upon him, but it did not touch him. It washed over and swirled around him, like the water beneath the bridge. "Your brothers await you," said the whispering voice. "Go now, seek them out." George looked around him, but he and his steed were alone on the bridge.

As if it heard his thought, the unnatural horse trotted silently off the bridge, toward the town that held George's old life. He passed people on the road, most of whom he knew. They looked toward him and through him as though he wasn't there, but as he passed they changed. Some fell to their knees sobbing, others screamed as though in sudden terrible pain. Some beat their heads against the ground or tore their flesh; others merely stood stone-still, staring into space with a look of overwhelming horror.

George Baines laughed, his first laugh in a very long time. He set his heels to his horse, and the beast broke into a gallop, far swifter than any natural animal. The town he once called home fell into nightmare, as Despair swept through it. It would be only the first of many.

Apathy

No one knows where he came from, how he got his power, or where he found that horse. No one knows, because he can't be bothered to tell anyone.

But the Apocalypse is coming, and he'll make sure you won't even be bothered enough to care. Assuming he decides to get out of bed.
