Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

I didn't mean for you to clear your villain off, Badger. it was just a what's the next team, Old Man? Nausea is a good reason for the color green.

CES

Dont worry about it. I've got some ideas for expanding upon her background, anyway. Gives me more time to sort out. Just got to wait for a good team to come.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Death was once one of the heralds of the apocalypse, but times have changed. No more does the fear of death inspire the same terror it once did. Countless religions paint pretty pictures of the afterlife for those who believe in them. In fact many in modern society have sought out death, even worship it, for this life seems to them to be far worse than anything that could come after. So a new horseman was needed for the New Apocalypse. Revenant was his name. Where this fell apparition rides the solace of death is removed. No peaceful afterlife awaits his victims. No surcease of the pain and suffering this life can bring. For all those whom his dread gaze falls upon are doomed to never die, to spend eternity as a withered mind trapped within a decaying body. Nothing can kill them for long, and where they go they spread the dread curse. For the New Apocalypse is upon us. And not even Death will allow you to escape it.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Sorry for the delay.

Lets try this:

The Prime Times: This group of 5 villains are all based on popular TV shows. Obsessed with the persona's presented on the small screen, they decided to bring these fictional characters to life. The villains can be based upon any TV character whether they are good or evil on the air, and the power set does NOT have to match what the TV persona has (just reference it in some way).

The Mutilator

This villain did not see why you could not conduct an autopsy while the victim was still alive. So while his comrades conduct the robbery he makes certain that the heroes or police can't come after them as they have to save someone who is in agony. And after studying all those crime shows he knows all sorts of horrible things to do to people. Occasionally the others can get him to erase their tracks.

(referencing the CSI franchises and Bones)

Phat Albert

Phat Albert is a huge young black man. In fact, you can easly say he is fat. In spite of his weight, he moves realy quickly and with grace. He is strangly athletic, musicly inclined, creates gadgets out of trash, and can absorb physical blows like there is no tomorow. He is also wise beyond his years. Note: He is not a 'brick'.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The former stuntman known as Mythbuster recently discovered his own mutant ability to create explosions anyplace he wishes (including inside things, though he's unable to create them inside living beings). Since he is immune to his own explosions (at least, he doesn't take damage from them, although he does take knockback), he "flies" by creating a series of explosions beneath him.

He dreams of marrying Kari Byron, even though she is completely repulsed by the guy.

Mister Radar

A young mutant out to see the world, this former farm boy quickly learned that money is needed to see the world. So he uses his enhanced sences (including a 'Radar Sence') to act as a lookout for the Prime Times. Rumor has it that this grape soda loving man is slightly psychic.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Ok. Thats five. And I did the last villian, so I get to create the next group.

Name: The Evil Hours

Membership Numbers: Six (6).

Orgin: In his continuing quest to destroy The TED, Malhkronos went back in time (to our period of time), and sent requests to twelve supervillians who, acording to history were on the edge of hanging up there capes and calling it quits. Out of the 12 invited, 8 showed up, and only 6 decided that it was a good ideal to form a team. Unforcently for the team, Malhkronos plans on abandoing the group once a TED agent arives, to kill the agent.

Note: Theas villians are not a 'joke'. There all sereous villians, just not susessful in there solo jobs.

Note 2: None of theas villians have time travel powers (well, except Malhkronos, but he is not included in the membership count).

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The elderly gunman known as High Noon claims to have originaly come from the mid-1800s Old West but ended up in our time by sneaking a ride in a "strange blue box owned by an even stranger man with a long colorful scarf." He is an expert shot with his twin pearl-handled Colt revolvers, and a quite accomplished gambler.

[Edit]

He came out of retirement after Mahlkronos promised to return him to his original time. Of course, Mahlkronos has no plans to actually do so, but High Noon doesn't know that.

Jack Davis was The Eleventh Hour, a mercenary specializing in corporate espionage whose unconscious "gift" of probability manipulation assured that *something* would occur at a critcial moment during his jobs. No longer trusted by potential employers due to this unpredictably, he "retired" to the bottom of a bottle until contacted by Mahlkronos with promises of treatments that would let him use his powers consistently in his favor.

The Watchmaker had given up his life of crime after his clockwork gadgets and automatons proved no match for modern costumed crimefighters. Then he discovered that his analog creations could be readily enchanted. With his new eldritch constructs and weapons, he's ready to settle some old scores.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Robert Tillman, aka Quintet, was a duplicator who committed crimes in the Los Angeles area for years, until the day one of his duplicates was shot and killed by a costumed vigilante. Tillman managed to escape from incarceration, but after that he swore off duplication and retired on the profits from two decades of crimes. When he was approached by Mahlkronos, Tillman was reluctant, but the time traveller promised to go back in time and save the duplicate if Tillman worked for the Evil Hours. So he joined the team as Quarter Till.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Doomsday Clock

The Clock was a villain determined to bring the world to disaster but he always met with disaster being arrested, betrayed by his team mates or having his powers suddenly cut out. The Clock has spent more time in prison than out and felt that his time was over before being recruited. He now believes that this is his last and probably best chance. What Mahlkronos has not figured on is that when he has betrayed the team that one of them will track him down and make him pay. That will be the Clock.

New Team: The Robbery Syndicate. Not a team as such but portrayed as such during the American Protector's trial. After Kid Claw was crippled by Visgoth, the American Protector vowed to avenge him. What happened instead is that the hero walked into an ambush and was humiliated by Visgoth and a number of others. They say that it affected his mind and it manifested in a need for revenge against criminals. That came up in 1995 when the Chicago to San Francisco run was staged. Criminals mainly C list ones would try and commit as many crimes as possible between the two cities as part of a race (think people like the Riddler and Penguin from Batman). Unfortunately for them the American Protector found out and swooped on them like an eagle on rabbits.

Your mission should you choose to accept it is this, name one of seven villains that was attacked by the American Protector with these parameters involved.

The first criminal attacked was on the outskirts of Chicago and the last was in San Franciscso itself. List where the confrontation took place. The other locations should be on a rough line between the two cities.

All attacks should be chronological. i.e. do not do the San Francisco attack first. It was the last.

The first crooks attacked have no idea what is coming but the last ones do.

No civilians are injured or killed by the American Protector's rampage.

Property damage is surprisingly minimal.

No one can pull out of the race. The hero knows who they all are and will not accept their retirement or surrender. If anyone wishes to do villain 3, 4 or 5 surrendering and then being hurt because of it, please do so. You can also refer to this as an aside in the write up if you do not want to do a surrender.

Not all of the crooks will have been killed and more than 10 were victims of the hero. Maiming, crippling and knocking the crooks into comas is encouraged. Other casualties can be refferred to but see below regarding the media.

The media does not really catch on that there is something really bad happening until the very end. And bear in mind it is 1995.

The hero is a flying brick who easily outclasses the opposition. Most are C list villains but there were several B list ones.

Anyone attacked suffers. This is a tragedy, as the hero is following his own rules.

Minimum two deaths but the others may wish they were dead. Saying what happened to them afterwards is also encouraged, for those that survived (i.e. retirement. imprisonment etc).

The hero is arrested some time later and put on trial. He states that all the villains were part of a team and grand conspiracy against America itself.

The hero is still alive but not in action as of this year.

Following the result of the American Protector's actions. No other runs have ever been attempted. He had intervened in previous ones but the havoc that happened here prevented any others.

If you post one villain you must wait until two others have posted until you can post again.

And I apologise in advance if anyone thinks that this is too dark a subject.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

“This is Jimmy Dugan, reporting for WSN, the World Super Network, with an exclusive on a super-battle taking place at Chicago’s O’Hare airport between American Protector and the eccentric supervillain known as Loopy Lou. For those of you who don’t know this obscure villain, his attacks and defenses, as well as the targets of all his crimes, involve rings or circles.

“Details are sketchy, but Loopy Lou was reportedly trying to steal the Borgia Signet, a ring reputed to have belonged to 15th century aristocrat Cesare Borgia, upon its arrival in Chicago bound for display at the Field Museum. American Protector apparently learned of this crime and came to stop it.

“I don’t know if you’re seeing this, but Lou finally managed to ensnare Protector with his amazing shrinking rings, but to no avail. Protector has broken free and… yes! Protector flew up and disarmed Loopy Lou, and is now turning the villain’s own shrink-ring projector against him. Looks like he’ll have Lou wrapped up and turned over to the police in no time.

“Wait! In addition to wrapping Loopy Lou’s arms and legs in rings, Protector has begun targeting the villain’s head with the shrink-ring projector. Oh, my god, it must be some kind of mistake on Protector’s part, but he’s gotten a trio of rings around Lou’s throat, and you can see them shrinking, cutting off his oxygen! Apparently, American Protector hasn’t noticed this, because he’s just flying away after crushing the weapon in his bare hands. Police are rushing to the downed villain, I hope they can reach him in time before he chokes to death!”

- - - - - - - -

Loopy Lou survived the attack, though it was very close and his neck was severely damaged both by the shrinking rings themselves as well as police efforts to remove the rings. His larynx was crushed and his vocal cords damaged beyond repair, so Loopy Lou can’t talk any more. The incident terrified Lou, to the point that he now curls into a fetal position at the sight of anything circular. He has spent the last 17 years in a mental institution, eating off square plates, drinking from square glasses, and getting therapy to even be able to hear the word “round” without throwing a fit.

The Acrobat was a part of this race. Basicaly a gymnist/martial artest/thieth, he was aperhended in Rockfield Illinois by the American Protector. He did not kill him, well not directly, but ripped out his legs and left him to (hopefuly) bleed to death. Forcently for The Acrobat, the ETMs got to him on time, but not time enougth to save his legs.

Many years later, a bitter Acrobate returned to crime as The Crippler, but that is another story.

PS: I owe Bolo and psyphet some rep, and posably Death Tribble also.

The Hodag and the Protector went at it all along the main highway in Kansas. The fight ended when the Protector seized the Hodag and threw him as high as he could into the air. While the Hodag was considered invulnerable, no one knows if he survived reentry, or impact.

He has not been seen since.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

On the outskirts of Boulder, CO. Sonic Sara was doing her usual triple-digit speeding, when the hero caught up with her. He immediately smashed her vehicle, tragically killing her little puppy Groober (she had a soft spot for puppies, ok) who was along for the ride. THen for some reason the hero grabbed her and beat her senseless. Obviously beating a woman, villainess or no, began to cause some horror among the anti-domestic violence groups. And a cute little puppy getting crushed didnt make PETA, none too happy either.

Sara had her back broken in the beating. She eventually learned to walk with a state of the art exoskeleton. And thanks to villainous scientist obtained power armor and became the villainess Mistress Sonic. Her carefree personality died that day. Reportedly, her end goal is to avenge the puppy. ANd she will stop at nothing to find Groober's killer.
