The Cloudbuster Kid

Born somewhere between Barstow and Topeka in the back of his father's patent medicine wagon Richard McCloud.

His mother unfortunately died bringing him into the world and he grew up learning the arts of the carnie and the snake oil salesman.

During a bad drought when he was nine his father switched to rain making just as much of a scam but more profitable well that was until he was lynched by irate farmers when his promised miraculous rains didn't fall.

Ricky was sent to live with his great Uncle a professor at Princeton. That's where Ricky discovered the joys of the library he had always been literate but books where few and far between out west. Suddenly there was a world of information available to him and Ricky began to show signs of a truly prodigious intellect. His greatest interest was meteorology he sought to understand and master the weather to succeed where his father had merely lied.

Using a combination of sound radio waves and air burst chemicals he eventually learnt to trigger rain storms but when certain powerful industrial groups tried to steal his work young Ricky fled into the night he would not be heard of again until Nero's pirate league began using weaponised weather as part of their attacks.

The main cloud buster device is a huge acoustic cannon mounted on the current nautilus it can generate storms thick mists or clear away clouds over a large area. During raids the kid carries a smaller version based around a wood and brass back pack and a gauntlet(Worn on the left arm) studded with a variety of nozzles horns and antenna that allow him to control weather on a much smaller scale thick fog being one of his favorites the gauntlet can also generate bolts of lightning. He wears a heavy brown leather belt loaded with tools including a flare gun which he uses for signaling to seed clouds and as a weapon with a selection of chemical shells.

While he is highly intelligent and well read Ricky still has a lot of his bad habits from his time on the road and is still learning how to deal with polite society on the other hand his early education covered a lot of esoteric skills and he often helps his team with his fast talk and smooth patter not to mention quite a few carnie tricks.

Born in a cadet branch of a more famous doctor, Dr. Archie Leech helped found a colony of monstrous creations designed to be dropped on populated cities as acts of war. Leech became known as Dr. Destruction because of his tactics. Operating on a smaller scale, he is a more than capable medic, and creator of Moreaus (Half-men/half-animals) as assistants and guards.

Stephan Copley was an accomplished mechanical engineer and deep-sea diver who used a highly versatile diving suit he designed and built himself.  He was also very outspoken against corporate and government interests who over-fished, polluted, and otherwise abused the seas.  Eventually, he angered the wrong people, who hired somebody to tamper with Copley's diving rig, hoping he would die in what looked like an accident.

Copley was thousands of meters deep in the ocean when his suit began to release air pressure uncontrollably.  The resulting intense case of the bends should have killed Copley - indeed, he lay on the ocean floor screaming in pain and wishing he would die for hours - but he was found by Nero and brought aboard Nero's submersible (diving suit and all).  Though Nero didn't have a decompression chamber, he figured out how to undo the sabotage to Copley's diving suit and restore enough air pressure to remove the crippling pain.  Unfortunately, every attempt since then to decompress Copley has been unsuccessful.  He must now either wear the suit at all times, or exit it inside a pressure chamber.

Copley is now a man bent on vengeance against those who ruined his life.  Since he doesn't know specifically who they are, he's pretty broad in his condemnation of the surface world.  He has modified his diving suit, adding weapons and plating to make it fairly impressive battle armor.  He now goes by the name Steel Coffin, the scourge of the seven seas.

James "Blind Johnah" Bartley

Young James Bartley was an apprentice seaman aboard a whaler when his long boat was smashed by the dying giant sperm whale they where hunting. James was lost overboard. hours later the dead whale was recovered and a thrashing movement was seen in the creatures stomach they pulled out the still living James Bartley he was mad and blind his skin bleached deathly white and all his hair gone.

In the official story Mr Bartley returned to glostershire and died 18 years later.

The truth is more extraordinary during his traumatic time trapped in the stomach of that dying whale changed something in his brain he now feels no pain his body hardened and toughened he joined Nemo's crew after he recovered his mind and was sent to train in Japan with an elderly blind masseuse secretly a infamous swordsman who taught him the art of blind fighting and gifted him a exquisitely sharp sword cane made by a legendary blade Smith.

Now he is the pirates muscle his extraordinarly keen hearing and toughness make him a scary foe his odd appearance makes him intimidating but his blindness makes people underestimate him.Having already experienced hell in the whale's gut he fears no other fate.

Valentino "Val" Vickers was (not surprisingly, because of his name) always enamored of the British army and tanks.  He followed his father's lead and joined the Army straight out of high school in 1997 and was a prime candidate for Project: Centurion, a UK military attempt at individual heavy battle armour.  He excelled at putting the prototype Centurion armour through its paces; some of the Project scientists remarked that it was almost as if Val and the armour were one.

When the time came to demonstrate the prototype for the Army brass, however, Val had a surprise in store.  He fired on the assembled dignitaries (killing nearly a dozen), handily defeated the soldiers and light tanks assembled for the test, and stole the Centurion armour.

He kept the name Centurion and serves as one of the Death Dealers' close combat specialists.  His armour has a pulse cannon mounted on the right forearm and a grenade launcher on the left forearm; short-range jump jets (allowing 60m leaps); a parachute for insertion drops; full radar suite; and a smoke cloud generator.  He can also electrify the armour's exterior, though this causes a drain on his power reserves.

Karl Mannstein wears the Panzer armour. Of all the armours it is the one that is the most durable and flexible. Karl makes a point of defeating anyone who calls him a Nazi. The Panzer armour can allow it wearer to operate underwater. With the addition of the right support packs it can fly and major fire support. The basic package allows him to knock through walls and lift several tonnes. Karl can act as a scout but is not the de facto scout of the group.

MAUS

Gunter Kleiner is a Mutant with size changing powers he can grow from 6 inches to 12 feet in height unfortunately his powers do not enhance husband strength or toughness thus the MAUS power armour he alternates roles between intrusion specialist and brick. The suit has stealth cap abilities and configurable musculature that can alternate between speed and strength. It packs twin grenade launchers which does not suffer from size effects as the grenades return to there normal size after firing and can launch a variety of munitions for each role.

Netopyr (Bat) [obscure Russian WWI prototype]

Alexei Sharlopov was a mechanical genius unwilling to let childhood paralysis of his lower extremities hold him back.  Instead, he fashioned a battlesuit/vehicle that incorporates his advanced wheel-chair into the design.  With three duranium wheels and an armored cockpit atop them, he can exceed 100 mph, turn on a dime, and even leap astounding distances with the help of rocket boosters.   The device's beam weapon turret gives him the ability to punch through walls with hard light or blind opponents with a full spectrum blast.  To his chagrin, Alex is often used as a decoy or distraction while his team-mates take off with the loot!

Arjun

Hailing from India veejay Singh is a Therianthropy able to turn into a ferocious looking man lion but his appearance belies his nature really he is a big softy and would much rather be called Fluffy a name he uses in the furry community.

Not an active member of the team Veejay maintains the suits an expert programmer and engineer he only works for them because the money is great and the challenges of upgrading and repairing the suits is addictive. The death dealers keep trying to convince him to join their team VEEJAY is basically a pacifist and would much rather provide tech support a

Only uses his powers to maintain the suits his superhuman strength and senses making working on a multi ton death machine a lot easier.

One Brit, two Germans, and a Russian, with an Indian as tech support.  Gotta have at least one American tank represented.

Charles Wright was a ne'er-do-well who was dishonorably discharged from the US Marine Corps and served some time in prison for beating up an officer whose discipline Wright didn't like.  When he got out, Wright vowed to "show 'em all".  He still had friends in the Corps, one of whom was working on an armored battlesuit project.  Wright convinced his chum to get him on base to see the battlesuit's demonstration... and then of course he KO'd the "test pilot" and stole the battlesuit at the first opportunity.

He took the name Abrams mainly as a way to continuously embarrass the government.  (He thought of going with Leatherneck or Jarhead to more specifically irritate the Corps, but both names were already taken.)  The Abrams suit is equipped with flight jets, a back-mounted magnetic cannon, wrist blasters, along with the expected strength augmentation and armor plating.  However, it's most interesting feature is the Battle Command Interface.  The Abrams' BCI allows him to see and hear from the POV of other Death Dealers (using cameras and microphones in their suits), and also interfaces with their damage control systems so he can know how his teammates are faring even if he's several kilometers away.  Because of the BCI (and his general overbearing personality), Abrams has taken over as leader of the Death Dealers.

New team:

The Star Smashers are dedicated to protecting their world from extraterrestrial threats.  Their opinion is, the only good alien is a dead one.  They're also a little overzealous in their pursuit of alien insurrection and have killed some normal humans whom they were positive (or at least pretty sure) were shapeshifting ETs.  Their complete unrepentant nature for these deaths, along with killing several peaceful, friendly aliens, has labeled the Star Smashers as supervillains.

Who are these six Earth humans* whose names / powers come from various stars, constellations, galaxies, or other stellar phenomena?

* If you must, at least keep it to only one alien infiltrator, please.

Agent Stone was laughed out of the FBI for his ideals about "the truth". Heck, even the X-Files department wouldn't have him. He joined the Star Slamers, taking a few reversed engineered weapona of an alien nature with him.

Stone is the semi- gadgeteer of the group. And his knowledge of the Alphabet Boys is helpful. Now if they could only explain the guy who smokes like a chimney who sometimes appears to keep an eye on him.

Terra Firma is the powerhouse.  Supposedly the victim of repeated and traumatic UFO abductions in her youth, as an adult she became an archaeologist.  True to four-color tradition, this career let to the discovery of a mysterious, ancient Sumerian amulet dedicated to Ki, the Earth Mother.  With the amulet, she can tap into a wellspring of geologic abilities - greatly enhanced mass and strength, at-will formation of a rocky armored crust around her skin, short-range bursts of magma, and the transformation of solid ground to soupy mud.   She has devoted her existence to smashing, pulping, probing and otherwise dismembering any spindly, grey, bulbous-headed being she sees!

Max Taylor had a passing interest in astronomy so when three of his friends wanted to go up Eagle's hill to look at the stars he agreed. As they looked at the night sky their attention was sized by a bright light coming from the Tarantula Nebula. As they watched the light soon ceased needing the telescope to see. It became blinding, and then the hill shook from an impact. Max was thrown clear. When he look over the impact he saw his three friends dead, and some sort of alien creature standing among them. It approached Max, and in an eerie voice tried explaining that the deaths were an accident. It hadn't intended to kill them and wanted to make amends.

Max wasn't fooled this monster was only pretending to be friendly so it could kill him easier. But what could Max do?

Suddenly an energy field in the general shape of a spider surrounded Max. He raised a " leg" and fired an energy blast at the creature. THe monster fired back, and for awhile a battle raged. Then Max used another "leg" to hit the creature, and it collapsed. He didn't stop pounding until he was sure it was dead. Max then walked off the hill. Since then he has hunted aliens. He has a particular dislike for the ones who pretend to be friendly so they can stab you in the back. True he's had to kill a few humans who wouldn't accept the truth. But the Tarantula

knows better a few dead 5th columists then a dead world.
