Sue Haskins was messing around with what she thought was the ships teleporter and ended up being the aliens food synthesizer. Her body was transformed into a gelatinous mass but she somehow retained some low level intelligence. The Brigade were eventually able to get her to follow basic instructions. Her body can absorb tremendous punishment, is considerably strong, can stretch short distances, entangle or engulf enemies, and ooze through small openings. The Brigade named her after the amusing/gross sound she makes when she moves.

He is the man with the plan. While the others were looking just to be cool, Alvin carefully studied the tech and worked out what could be used for a particular purpose. Alvin also decided on what he wanted to do namely steal things and not get caught. He goes by the nom de plume of The Removal Man. True it is not the coolest name but that's psychology. Let the others have the cool names, the cool looking tech. Who at the end of the day is still going to be free ? Alvin. Alvin developed some of the tech to mirror the invisibility that he saw in the film Predator. Also a remote telekinesis device which he incorporated into his suit.

Kenny Briggs was the best kid in shop. When he stumbled over the ship's fabricators, he knew he had the means to make anything he wanted. As the Fabrikid, he sits back and uses his arsenal to help the others out on their schemes while testing new builds to add to his standbys.

France's Roget's Academy is only interested in turning out the best in villains anywhere. Who are the five best students in the school.

(Five french centric villains. They can be related to other french villains done on the thread if so inclined. Death Tribble should have them on his list of characters.)

Eiffel

This colossus has the Eiffel Tower as his costume and he suddenly grows and menaces people. He can only grow and then return to normal size. Once grown he is less vulnerable to damage and is much stronger than normal. He is more interested in hurting people and hitting them than on planning what to do and how to do it.

Renard A shapeshifting pansexual prankster, spy and con artist. They claim to be a mutant, but some of the instructors at the Academy suspect a mythical/mystical origin is more likely. They can assume the look of any human, but can also take the form of a fox or in cases of combat a fierce human/fox hybrid.

Le Mime Sauvage (The Savage Mime) is an oddball even among a country of oddball mine supers. If Le Mime Sauvage touches you, he can force you to any action he does. He can only link himself to one body at a time.

He was already a supervillain, alass one with a low success rate, before going back to school at Roget's Academy. He is focusing on developing various physical skills to increase the range of actions his puppets can do.

Massif Central

Roget's Academy has great hopes for Claude Giroux who is a brick. He can turn into something akin to an earth elemental well more of a rock elemental. He is a lot smarter and wiser than Eiffel but he cannot grow like the latter and Claude knows that Eiffel can pick him up and throw him or stick him on a roof if he feels like it. Unlike some who mask their ambitions Claude is loyal and dependable. He may not be the next Mastermind but he could be the Mastermind's lieutenant..

La Pucelle

While she seems to project an aura of innocence and vulnerability, La Pucelle (The Maid) is anything but. She is a mentalist with the ability to instill almost fanatical loyalty in groups for a short time and direct them to 'protecting her' (IE fighting folks she wants them to fight or tearing apart targets). Alas, her powers do not last long and require her to speak to her victims, but they are growing.

Oops. That was five.. mm been awhile, and it's hard to do anything original so forgive me if we've done this before but...

New Team: The Magpies

Number on team: 5

Concept: Ravenswood Academy has a proud history, but it also has a problem. Despite trying to raise the gifted to be upstanding citizens (or even future superheroes) who use their powers wisely, a few kids have fallen through the cracks. Five students have created "villain identities" and go out committing theft and mischief for kicks and to thumb their noses at authority. So far, the teenagers haven't seriously hurt anyone, but it could be only a matter of time before they realize they've gone too far. Some might think they've gone too far already, others are embracing the path of true villainy. Except for the magpie logo they all wear somewhere on their hip new happening villain costumes, they really don't have a theme. A few of them might be related to superheroes in one way or another.

We just did this for France, bud. Do me a favor and do the last hero needed for the hero side of the challenge. I would but I created the team in the first place.

To be fair we did best students for the hero/villain academies not ones working for the other side.

The Acquirer

This is the villainous identity of John Smith (seriously this is his name) who is a minor telekinetic. However what no-one in the academy has worked out so far is that John has split personality disorder. Joseph Smith is The Acquirer and he knows what John does except John does not know that Joseph (never Joe) exists. Joseph has put a limit on John's telekinetic strength so that he can get away with crimes that John could not pull off. Joseph is also cunning enough to limit the finesse he uses which John has mastered. The others have seen Joseph appear usually after John has suffered a head injury. The Ravenswood staff have hopes for John if they can increase his strength but will place him in law enforcement or rescue services if not provided they don't catch on to Joseph.

The most recent member to join the Magpies, Kayla Anderson aka Crackerjack, is a mutant with limited control over metals.  Her powers cause metallic objects to warp and distort chaotically, allowing her to easily destroy guns, vehicles and most modern technology. Amelia's mutant talents are very powerful but have very limited utility due to her inability to control the distortions she creates. Her instructors seem convinced that with practice Kayla could control her distortion field and reshape metals with her mind the way a sculptor shapes clay with his hands, but so far she has yet to display that level of control.  She does exceptionally well against conventional criminals armed with guns and reliant on technology, but she has no real ability to attack -- or defend against! -- supers with innate powers, a fact of which her instructors constantly remind her.

Kayla's feelings of inadequacy and general insecurity lead to her agreeing to join the Magpies, who wanted to use powers to crack a safe.  While hesitant to participate at first, Kayla's powers were perfectly suited to the task and made short work of the police who responded, impressing the group and earning her their praise.  Now she is torn. She knows that what the Magpies are doing isn't just harmless fun and is wrong, but she's so good at it, and feeling competent for a change is addictive.

Allure

Gabrielle Lawrence is the daughter of psionic superhero Focus and martial artist supervillain  The Asp. After years of playing a game of cat and mouse and teasing the sexual tension her parents gave into temptation. She was the result and led to her mother reforming and giving up life as a costumed criminal.. Gabby developed the mental ability to persuade people as she reached her teens and was enrolled in Ravenswood. Through testing it was discovered she couldn't control minds, but beguile the mind and make targets susceptible to suggestion and put them in a passive stunned state. Also this power only worked on males. She was given the codename Sway.  Joining the Magpies is Gabby rebelling against her strict and square father and following in the much more exciting path her mother used to tread. She is in it purely for the thrills and isn't looking to hurt anyone, but if push comes to shove and her mental ability fails, or she is up against women, she can fall back on her martial arts and acrobatic training she has engaged in since her early childhood.

Dupe

David Garner (Dave to everyone) is an easygoing good-natured guy who the others keep dragging into their schemes and leaving to pick up the pieces or the blame. Except that Dave is the leader of the group. You've seen the film, The Departed so you know SPOILER ALERT ! that Matt Damon was a mole planted in the police by Jack Nicholson's mob boss. Same with David who has subtle mental defences in place that fool ordinary telepathic enquiry.

Dave is passing information back about the current crop of Ravenswood students whilst also very gently manipulating Gabby and John (Joseph) as the de facto leaders of the team. Dave is strong, slightly invulnerable and acrobatic which is why the others (mis)use him. Dave is also immune to suggestion as part of his conditioning but is aware when someone is trying to influence him in that way and will fall for it. Ravenswood teachers think that David is under Gabby's thumb. Little do they know the truth.

New Topic: Nine Circle of Hell

There has been a team of this type going since the 1960s. Some times they are comical, sometimes they are darkly evil but there are supposed to be nine members. Sometimes this does not happen as heroes can intervene can put a stop to this before it takes place. The current team has recently debuted and there are 9 members. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to detail one of the members which must conform to one of the circles as Dante illustrates in the Inferno part of the Divine Comedy These are.

First Circle (Limbo) *

Second Circle (Lust)

Third Circle (Gluttony)

Fourth Circle (Greed)

Fifth Circle (Wrath)

Sixth Circle (Heresy)

Seventh Circle (Violence)

Eight Circle (Fraud)

Ninth Circle (Treachery)

Wikipedia link (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inferno_(Dante)#Nine_circles_of_Hell)

* This can be a limbo dancer or someone who does not believe in God

Once we reach five we'll decide about continuing.

Kimbell Lawton should have died when he was fourteen years old. Instead he grew up to become Gluttony

History: Doctors had diagnosed Kimbell with a rare form of extremely aggressive childhood leukemia when he was six, and he'd beat it, and then beat it again when it returned a few years later.  When it came back a third time there wasn't enough of him left to keep fighting, and the doctors put his life expectancy at a little under nine months.  Unlike most parents, Kimbell's father -- a Las Vegas casino magnate with Mafia connections -- was in a position to do something about it.  He spent millions searching for a cure, and his search lead him to a laboratory in Southeast Asia, where a disheveled American ex-pat calling himself Doctor Amazo  promised he could cure Kimbell's cancer.  Amazo was true to his word, and Kimbell returned home cancer free.

Very soon it became clear that Amazo's miracle cure had some unexpected side effects.  While multiple doctors confirmed he was in full remission, Kimbell's hair didn't grow back, his skin didn't regain its color, and he seemed incapable of gaining weight.  Still, a sickly child was a vast improvement over a dead child, and  Kimbell's parents were happy with the outcome...until they came out to discover Kimbell hunched the body of their maid, his hands and face covered in blood.  The next morning, Kimbell's mother noticed the color had returned to his cheeks and for the first time since the operation his eyes weren't dark rings and made the connection.    Kimbell's father assured her their boy would be fine, that he knew people who could help them keep Kimbell fed...

Powers/Tactics: Doctor Amazo is...not from around here.  Kimbell Lawton is a host to a genetically modified Klengathian bloodworm, a foot-long segmented parasite native to the planet Klengathu in the Frangolias Sector of Bandoonian space.   The bloodworm hasn't cured Kimbell's cancer, it's actually driven it into overdrive -- the bloodworm feeds on the cancerous cells in Kimbell's body.  But the cancer isn't enough, and thus the bloodworm drives its host to consume an appropriate substitute: human flesh.

In order to facilitate this feeding, the bloodworm has modified its hosts body, making Kimbell faster, stronger, more durable than any human.  Kimbell's skin is elastic and extremely durable, allowing him to ignore small arms fire, knives and the like.  The bloodworm has effected a number of physiological changes in Kimbell to help him hunt and feed, including the ability to grow razor sharp claws, a second set of fang-like teeth, and distend his jaw so that he can bite targets. He can also cling to walls and contort his body in surprising ways.  In combat, Kimbell prefers to use stealth to approach his quarry, leaping onto them and grappling them before applying his bite.

Appearance: Kimbell is tall, extremely gaunt male human in his late twenties.  He is bald, with deeply set dark eyes and an unhealthy pallor. As Gluttony he uses stage make-up to further whiten his skin and make the shadows around his eyes deeper.  His standard costume is a simple one-piece black bodysuit without hood or gloves.

Astrologus

Simon Benworthy, psychic to the stars is the representative of the Eighth Circle, Fraud. He is capable of precognition and can cause good or bad luck to those around him although not himself. While working for the group he usually dresses up as an agent or nondescript goon although he has better protection such as body armour. He does not use weapons as that might give the game away. He also uses disguise skill to hide his identity.

Simon has worked for various casinos and this is where he came to find out about Kimbell and passed on the information to his contacts who brought him into the new version of the Nine Circles. Simon had known that he would brought into the organisation due to his power and is content with it. He keeps out of the way of the others due to his luck and precognitive power. He is also wise enough not to provoke the others and will distract them if tempers flare and being calm would help.

Stärker

Ilsa Shaw represents the Seventh Circle, Violence. A mutant whose power to absorb and transform physical pain into heightened strength, toughness and restorative healing emerged while she was being beaten by her abusive mother. Suddenly filled with power IIsa lashed out and broke her mother's arm. Ilsa engaged in self harm after this in order to again feel that rush of power. When she got in a fight with bullies much older than her and ended up savagely beating them, the news report garnered the attention of Dr. Blanc from the Institut De L'étrange . He recruited her and trained her to utilize her powers to the utmost. Several years after proving herself as muscle for hire she was selected by the newest version of the 9 Circles.

In battle she wears a blood red suit of body armor that is equipped with a shock device that allows her to "jump start" her before a fight. She will always go after the biggest and strongest target and goad them into hand to hand combat in order to maximize her abilities. She has become addicted to physical pain and is always seeking new ways fulfill this need.

The villain known as Storehouse is a kleptomaniac. He steals things and keeps them in his body until he needs them.  In a battle with police and local superheroes, he dropped the contents of a furniture warehouse on his enemy, and then the building itself. No one knows what his upper limit is, and most heroes worry what will happen if he tries to use his power on the whole planet instead of parts.
