Ryujin

He calls himself Ryujin and he has control over water specifically the ocean. His name comes from a Japanese god of the sea and supposedly the ancestor of the Japanese Imperial dynasty. This may explain why he gives any Japanese opponents a hard time and his demands for respect from any Japanese around. It also might explain his ill treatment of any other orientals due to his belief that Japanese are superior to them.

Eris

The goddess of Discord would be unknown were it not for Xena, Warrior Princess bringing her back to public consciousness. She loves causing havoc in the same way that led to the Trojan War which is her most famous act.

She does recon for the other gods and then lets them get on with it while she gloats in the background.

And that is 6.

New Team: The First Raters.

These villains are enemies of the Second City Crusaders who are better known as the Second Raters. For more information see the link below

They can be any of the mentioned foes Detroit Piston, Detroit Express, Control Phreak and Deacon Night or they can be new ones. Clear the use of the mentioned villains with Death Tribble or Bolo of Earth.

At least 7. After all they are clearly better than the heroes but they need to prove it right ?

Any powers, any sex but should not be Mechanon, Dr Destroyer class

EDIT: Reset the link as it went to page 1 of Create a Hero Team instead of page 104. Tested and it now works.

Detroit Express

This speedster started in the titular city and makes himself a menace across the Great Lakes area and going all the way up to the Canadian border. Infamous for his partnership with Detroit Piston, he was wise enough to realise that when the Second City Crusaders came together that there would be safety in numbers on both sides of the law. Chilling out in the infamous Murphy's Skull bar, the premier hangout for supervillains in the Great Lake area, he was attracted to what The Great Kadinsky and Matchless Miki were saying about operating a group when in Chicago so that they could evade the team. But it was Deacon Night who said that any team would be 'first rate compared to those second rate heroes'. Thus the team name was born. Detroit Express was hunted up early on as a speedster as he could do recon and if he was in, other villains he knew would follow.

Detroit Express is mixed race which does attract some racism but he has no problem working with anyone. He knows some speedster tricks but is not very strong. He learned martial arts to be more effective and did some work for various villains in order to get an armoured costume.

He is looking for someone to take on Animagus as a Detroit Lion as he is a football fan. He is also keenly aware that The Bull of Chicago wants revenge.

If anyone wants to write up Kadinsky or Miki, go ahead. the former is a man and the latter is a woman.

The Animagus better watch his back. During the event which Control Phreak took control of him, Alexander Leon's whole family was injured by the animal based mystic. Swearing revenge, Alexander was given a suit of armor which was especially 'profed' against magic and styled like a lion. He became The Golden Lion.

He is not so fond of Control Phreak either, but can work with him if needed. His suit also has countermesers against mental powers, and claws for offense.

When Tracy Karr took on the identity of Blue Beetle, and then Solar Scarab, her use of her mystic powers awakened Seti, the Sultana of Sand. The mummified villianess wants the book that is the source of Solar Scarab's powers to be more human and more than human after all her time buried in the Earth

Matchless Miki

Miki Kobolowski was born with photographic reflexes allowing her to perfectly copy physical skills and abilities just by observing them. This genetic gift was handed down by her grandfather who operated as the supercriminal Double Down as part of the gambling themed Full House Gang. Her father rebelled and became a cop and Miki in turn became a criminal to spite him. She has copied virtually ever fighting style known to exist as well as acrobatics, parkour, gymnastics, vehicle operation, safe cracking, lock picking etc. Her weapon of choice is a weighted staff that resembles a pool cue. Miki is infamous for hustling pool at Murphy's Skull and still has the occasional sucker try their luck.

Detroit Piston

Where the Express goes Piston follows. Piston also hails from Detroit and is African American. Having been given grief for some alleged 'white blood' in his family, he had no problem working with Express who is obviously mixed race. Piston is capable of rapid fire punches and is stronger than Express but he is not a brick although he has resistant defences. He is slow which is why he makes a good double team with Express. He was not bothered by the Second City Crusaders despite what Deacon Night and Control Phreak were saying.until he ran into a superteam elsewhere and learned to appreciate the value of teamwork where more than two people were involved.

Piston is pretty easy going and can work with almost anybody. He figures that they can outwit The Bull of Chicago and make Pop doubt herself. But O'Hair and the Train Man need to be thoroughly investigated.

Chrome Dome

The infamous shaven headed villain has a particular hatred for O'Hair as anything involving lustrous locks sets him off. He is able to channel the power of rage when his baldness is mocked or if hair is complimented within his hearing. Otherwise he has a variety of gadgets which he uses to commit crimes from blasters to a safe cracking tool. he has an armoured suit to protect him from attacks.

We need at least one more member to make seven.

Rust Belt

Not originally from Detroit, Kathy O'Rourke came here at six, when her father scored a good job in a steel-processing plant...only to see the whole plant go belly up a year later, with unpaid wages and taking the pension fund with it. Too broke to move, no jobs, Maklin O'Rourke took to drink...and was dead of a drunken car crash inside a year, leaving his wife Susan to handle four kids with basically no income. Kathy's older sister Sarah took off with her boyfriend; Brother Eddie died of a drug overdose; Terence is serving 15 to Life for murder. Sarah died when a pimp wouldn't take her "no" at joining his girls. Kathy had reached sixteen by then.

And that's when her mutant powers activated. The power to manipulate metal - cars, lamp posts, anything in the vicinity. The pimp died when she forced him to swallow a handful of bolts - which she then ripped out of him in ten different directions.

Unlike the rest of The First Raters, she HATES this city. She's just waiting for her chance, for it to be her hand on the controls of the earthquake machine or weather manipulator or other doomsday device, to wipe it and everyone in it off the face of the planet. And if there's a lot of collateral damage? So what? Caring about others is for losers, the city taught her that.

Next up: Lords of the Seven - One villain from each continent, combined to make their dreams of ruling their respective landmass a reality.

I should point out that the team is The First Raters. Detroit Express is one of the members as is Detroit Piston and the group enemies are the Chicago team known as the Second Raters. It can be fixed in the edit.

As for seven continents, Europe, Africa, Asia, America and Antarctica are the easy ones but are we counting Australia as a separate continent and are North and South America separate continents ? Or are we allowing Pangaea, Lemuria and Atlantis ?

We have also done the Infused where a demon is infused with someone from the continents and the Continental Conquerors which had a member from each continent who had been defeated on their own and had joined forces. I should point out that this was ten years ago. So we can do another one but we could relate the group if people are interested. I can put links in.

OOps, sorry, misread. Edited.

The seven continents I used were the classic seven - Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Australia, Antarctica. I envisioned them as more or less a "second rate" group of wannabe world conquerors, who probably wouldn't know about the others.

That works. But I'll include the links so that everyone can see them.

It's amazing what can turn someone into a supervillain. In this case it was rap music. You see there is an artist called Flo Rida. This so incensed Floyd Cannellis that he became a supervillain and so became Florida Man. He is strong but not mega brick strong. He can fly but only 20 feet off the ground. He takes as inspiration Bulldozer which really tells you all you need to know. He is overconfident and truely believes that everyone will bow down and worship him.

Lady Wu and Andy of the Andes of the Continental Conquerors have an ongoing bet to see just how ridiculous a situation they can put him in.

The Incubus, Sangrias, Deadly Dreamer and Spirit of the North of The Infused are also aware of Florida Man and by extension the Lords. They are manipulating the group as a distraction but also for giggles.

Silversmith

Archer Eccleston was born into a wealthy family, but not quite wealthy or powerful enough for his ambitions. He desperately wanted to be accepted to the elite levels of society, but was always mocked as a Euro-trash wannabe and poser. One of the companies his family owned was involved in bleeding edge tech research. It made a breakthrough and created an intelligent nanite swarm suspended in a liquid matrix. Eccleston was intrigued and ignored warnings from the technicians and ended up bonding with the swarm and he was covered in the silvery liquid matrix. The nanites gave him the ability to extend the liquid matrix to control machines it coats and eventually make people into drone like soldiers.

The Silversmith was born and while he is powerful his immense ego and overconfidence has been his undoing and led to him failing time and again to dominate all of Europe. He is barely tolerated by the other Lords for his ridiculous over the top monologues and Machiavellian schemes and the Conquerors and Infused can't take him seriously.

M'Pala the man unicorn has tried for years to conquer parts of Africa. He has run afoul of Joseph N'Longa and other villains and heroes of the area. While not bright, he is capable of punching through thick armor with the horn growing from his head, running and leaping great distances, and calling forth the spirits in the environment around him to wreck havoc.

Originally the Asia representative was a child genius from China. Unfortunately this attracted another would be conqueror who supposedly ate him and took his place. This is Rangda who styles herself as the demon queen of the Leyaks from Bali. She does tend to brag and try to bully the others and seems to have the physical presence and some power to back it up. And of course she eats children. Allegedly. The others don't tend to stick around for her eating habits. She will rule Asia from Indonesia and Malaysia. And she is not as old as the being from mythology or go around nude or mostly nude. And the claws are fake but do real damage.

Lady Wu of the Continental Conquerors and Kabandha of the Infused really do not know what to make of her. She makes so much noise that it distracts Interpol from what they are up to so she has her uses but is she really a threat to them ?

(With apologies in advance to DT)

Dirk Trebleau was a geophysicist from the University of London, doing field work at the McMurdo Research Station in Antarctica, when his instruments indicated possible volcanic activity at nearby Mount Terra Nova - a supposedly dormant volcano.  Acting against his fellow researchers' recommendations, Dr. Trebleau went to the mountain to check on the situation personally.  Unfortunately, he happened upon (and was captured by) the nefarious Dr. Nymax!, who was experimenting with devices to tap the planet's molten core.

Trebleau won't talk about exactly what Dr. Nymax! did to him, but he now has eyes that literally blaze fire.  Not only that, but he can spray molten lava from his eyes (albeit not very far).  Whatever was done, it certainly twisted his mind, making him short tempered (one might even say hot-headed) and hateful of normal people.  He refused to take an alternate identity like other supers, preferring to be called by his actual professional name:  Dr. Trebleau

Despite his limited powers, Trebleau is respected and often deferred to by the rest of the Lords of the Seven, particularly for his near-encyclopedic knowledge of other supers (both hero and villain).

The Inca

From Peru comes The Inca who claims to be a direct descendant of the Incas and their gods. Of all the Lords he is probably the most overconfident and perhaps the most powerful. If his attention span and drive were stronger he would be a real threat. He tends to think his mere appearance and power will make people bow down and worship him. This is not the case. He is an energy blaster but he is also a brick and so can take quite a lot of punishment. He is not the leader of the team because he lacks ambition but the others are wary of trying to manipulate him as they have witnessed what happens to people who try this.

Andy of the Andes and The incubus (of the Continental Conquerors and The Infused respectively) keep a watching brief on this one as he could give either them or their teams considerable grief.

New Team: Yup it's the villain side of the Battle of Philadelphia.

Cosmik is a case both terrifying and pitiful. One of the oldest supers around, he's a real powerhouse; the Soviet attempt to harness cosmic energy which went very wrong happened in the late 1950s. Gregor Paturnov was infused with the very energies they had sought to harness - and a brilliant theoretical physicist became a near-mindless vegetable.

After decades of keeping him locked in a sturdy bunker, the Soviet scientists worked out a way to use the now seemingly immortal creature. They implanted control chips in his brain and spine, and were able to basically work him by remote control. He was used against the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan, but the radiation he emitted contaminated the areas he "liberated", making it a less then optimal solution. They tried making a containment suit - only for his strength to rip it apart the moment he went into battle. They tried to use him against a US Superteam in 1984, but they exploited the lag between his handler and Cosmik, and all the Soviets got was terrible publicity for irradiating part of Vienna. They put him back in his bunker.

Who stole both Cosmik and his control systems in the aftermath of the fall of the USSR is unknown, but what IS known is that while he made a terrible "soldier for the motherland" he made a GREAT weapon of terror. Meggido has been caught saying he hired Cosmik's current "owner" to let the beast loose in the battle. Cosmik is known to have killed several bystanders and at least one low-level super, and put a good number of people in hospital with radiation burns. When a number of heroes confronted him, Cosmik teleported away - an ability he had never before shown.

For everyone's benefit the breakdown

The TL:DR version is this. Detail a villain involved in the Battle of Philadelphia

The Battle of Philadelphia was one of the largest sustained battles between law enforcement and supervillains.

The Underworld version of what happened is as follows.

Jackson Industries was rolling out some new gizmo and a competitor, or someone else, hired a group of villains to delay distribution by taking out the loading bay and all the trucks. There were at least 4 but no more than 8 people in this group. However this all went awry due to some traitor tipping off the police and paranormal vigilantes. Also two other factions were hitting the complex at the same time.

The villain Meggido led a group of villains to destroy the complex and to kill a lot of people after being slighted by the head of Jackson Industries. What he had said that was that the technology and equipment supplied by the company could stop anybody. The villain must have gotten out of the wrong side of bed that day as he was incensed and vowed revenge. He assembled a group and attacked the largest facility as there was a board meeting that would keep a number of senior people on site. The objective was to kill as many people as possible and to destroy Jackson Industries. Meggido's confederate Hawkesmythe was a gun man who was responsible for a number of deaths during the course of the battle. This was the largest group of supervillains that numbered no more than 10 including the two named members..

A third group of three villains were in the complex attempting to grab someone in the R+D branch when the fighting started. All day long they had tried to get this person but all sorts of things prevented it. This was their last chance and they found themselves in the middle of a battle royale.

The hero group, Scions of Liberty, was right on top of the action and flew right into the action. Flechette killed several of the villains which was surprising as she was not known for entering killing combat.

They had been brought in by the police who 'just happened' to be close by with SWAT and an experimental police unit engaging the enemy up close and personal.

Other villains turned up as they were monitoring the hero team and other heroes in the area. Think of it hunted on an 8, 11 or 14 or less turning up.

Meggido got away. And this was the first recorded instance of how thin skinned he could be.

There were a number of significant casualties i.e. executives of the company including the head and heroes and villains. The heroes Nightwish and Great Dan were both killed.

Detail one villain participant who can have any powers and be a man or woman and whether they died, escaped or were captured. after all they are the bad guys so who cares ?

Minimum 5, maximum 20 (There are more than 20 with the three teams but you don't have to use them).

You can name the group hired to destroy the loading bay or the group of kidnappers.

Don't do Meggido.

You can detail Hawkesmythe bearing in mind he is a gun man, he killed quite a few people and is involved in a sustained fight with Flechette. You can decide whether he lived and escaped, whether he lived and was captured or whether he died.

No-one is in the Mechanon or Dr Destroyer class

What is really going on ?  The Sophia and The Sybll have manipulated things to bring one particular person (at least) to this time and place in order that they should perish. And they were successful. It could be a villain or a hero. You tell me..Or more than one.

Welcome to Hell.

It was supposed to be an easy job.Grab someone from Jackson Industries Research and Development department. I did not get told who. Simple right ? Wrong !

They got up early and got into work early which eliminated two potential pick ups. Then there were all the other SNAFUs. The traffic lights being against us. The police turning up. Accidents. A hero turning up. A suicide landing in front of us. The argument that resulted into a brawl.

So we had to go into the complex at end of day and, FINALLY !, we got 'em. I did not get told who it was, Mike kept that info to himself.  I was along for the usual reasons. Muscle and human shield. Now we just had to get out. And that is when everything really hit the fan. Explosions and gunfire, breaking glass and flying debris. So we head towards the loading bay and that suddenly becomes a no-go zone. Explosions everywhere, the alarms going off, people running, screaming, dying. What was going on ? We hunkered down trying to decide what to do next.

Then to top it off, The Scions of Liberty join the party.and start fighting people at the loading bay and around the factory. Closely followed by an announcement by the police to surrender as they had the place surrounded and SWAT units were already there. How ? Response time was never this fast not in any city. Did Scotty beam them up ?

I tried to find a way out that the others could follow and saw Hawkesmythe just gunning people down seemingly for fun. Had to fall back as the cops were using some sort of battle armour and there were energy blasts and all sorts of stuff being thrown around. And that is when we run into Scion Flechette who just shoots at us. We did not get time to bluff, she just tagged us immediately. We were not wearing capes or anything that even suggested BAD GUY. She almost took my eye out. I got separated from the others in the confusion and I got walloped but good.

I surrendered to the police, ordinary beat cops. Red Crescent even took a look at my eye. But man the place looked bad and they had to get meat wagons from upto 100 miles away.or so I heard. I'm not surprised I saw rows of bodies under sheets.

From the testimony of Stephen Cunningham aka SeBastion.
