Badger
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! The Order of the Seraphim These are the agents of sorts. For the Angels. Few people know where the Order of the Seraphim come from and how they came to be. They are fiercely, in fact fanactically loyal to the cause. Most seemed to be augmented in some way. Whether it be genetically, cybernetically, or through the use of power armor. Some are reputed to be former super heroes (or villains) who have "scene" the light. Of course, the official reason for the newfound powers is the "miraculous endowment" of "holy" powers by the ANgels themselves. (of course those with known powers beforehand are conveniently supposed to have still been endowed by the Angels, only in their cases to herald their coming). The Seraphim usually work in groups of 3. Note: "agents" count as one character still, right?
Utech
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Insight (a.k.a. Incite) was a harmless bagger at the Piggly Wiggly supermarket more than a decade ago. She was just about to graduate from high school and college didn't much appeal to her. Until something she bagged (or the way she bagged it, or the combination of things in the bag, or something) gave her an incredible insight. Blew her mind. She walked out and never went back to her minimum wage job. What Insight gained that day was a quantum leap forward in the understanding of the universe, life, and everything. Her intelligence soared. More importantly, though, her insight suggested other questions. Focusing on those new questions meant another mind-blowing insight. More intelligence. More understanding. More questions... Perhaps all of this is some sort of super power. Perhaps it's nothing but madness. But it's undeniable that Insight is now one of the smartest sentient beings in the universe. And also quite unhinged. Every time Insight puts her incredible intellect to a new question, she bumps up her Intelligence. Unfortunately, she also goes a bit mad. Most unfortunately, what she has done, she can pass to others. She can whisper a secret in your ear and leave you with the very same ability. Few are able to resist pursuing question after question until they have learned enough truth to reduce their brains to tapioca. Might she someday broadcast that question to the world..? Insight figures things out for Guardian Angels. Makes incredible equipment for them. Reduces opponents to mindless husks.

The Arc
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Cherub-While Cherub may have the body of a little boy with wings, he's actually ageless, formally one of the Holy Choir that sang of the Glory of God. However, Cherub was never content to be a faceless member of a crowd. He wanted to a soloist. Naturally this didn't set well with his fellow choir members, and they gave him the boot, which turned out to be exile on Earth. Cherub has since tried to repent in his errant ways, but has constantly failed to live up to his aspirations. He tries to make other see the Glory, but the way he does it is more manipulation that guidance. One of the few things he took with him was his harp went exiled. Cherub is a wonderful singer and musician, and all who hear his music feel compelled to listen and obey.
BoloOfEarth
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Raphael claims his healing powers are of heavenly origin, and given the incredible amount of healing he can do, this isn't too hard to believe. In addition to healing injuries and illnesses, he can heal blindness, deafness, and other such afflictions. However, he is selective about exactly whom he heals. No amount of money, no threats or begging or other attempts will sway him to turn his healing glow on someone who does not, in his opinion, earnestly believe in the utopian ideals of the Guardian Angels. BoloOfEarth
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Panchaea is the small island base of the Guardian Angels, as well as home to a number of their more devoted followers. The architecture is Classical Greek, with white marble buildings nestled among rolling, grass-covered hills. Several small springs and fountains provide clean, fresh water, and gardens on one side of the island provide a surprising (one might almost say magical) amount of food. Cygnia
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! "What the Guardian Angels are doing is for the good of the world. This is not tyranny; this is not vigilantism or mindless violence -- this is real change! So many so-called heroes refuse to apply themselves outside their comfort zone. Or worse still, willingly turn their backs on those that truly need it the most! The warlord in Somalia is defeated, but who will clean up the chaos afterward? Who is willing to take responsibility for healing the suffering? Not UNTIL; not the European Union or the US government! Not even these heroes wish to stay. We will... My name? I assure you, merely a coincidence. But fitting too. We all seek redemption in our own way..." Every group needs a spokesman to work the PR Machine. And Gabriel Morningstar, aka The Herald, is the voice of reason working the media, the courts and the public towards the Guardian Angels' favor. Though he doesn't register as any sort of metahuman, the Herald is skilled in a wide variety of civil, criminal and international law. Not to mention, deep insight into understanding human and metahuman psychology. He's savvy enough to work any crowd at any venue. New theme? Sports. Team name: The Decathletes MO: They're not interested in killing people. They'll steal, but not for riches' sake. What they are interested in is proving themselves to be the best of the best -- especially if they're going up against heroes. Number: as the team name implies, 10. BoloOfEarth
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Hmmm... I've tried twice posting character ideas for this team. Maybe the third time's the charm. The fastest Decathlete is Sprint, who (as you might guess) is a speedster. However, his powers only operate for thirty seconds every four hours, so he doesn't have a lot of staying power. (However, with a 12 SPD, you can get a lot done in 2 1/2 Turns.) After his mutation was discovered, he was barred from all professional and amateur competitions, so he now tries to prove he's the "fastest and best" committing crimes. A speedster-brick, Glide-Shot got her name from her preferred method of shot-putting. She typically starts out facing *away* from her target, then spins around while launching a shot put at her foe. When she first started out, Glide-Shot wasn't very accurate with her throws, but she's improved considerably over the years. She's strong enough to carry a half-dozen or more of the round steel "shot" that is her preferred weapon. Looking a lot like an homage to Marvel's Stilt-Man, Vault is a former Olympic track-and-field hopeful from Warsaw whose legs were crippled in an automobile accident and had to be amputated. He asked his brilliant but misguided engineer brother to make him some prosthetic limbs, which he happily did. However, these legs can extend, making Vault stand over 40 feet tall. They can also be quick-retracted and then hurriedly extended, giving him a devastating kick or a tremendous leap. It took a while for him to master the use of his legs, but now he's gotten quick good at stomping foes like bugs.
novi
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Dismount was a talented and skilled gymnast, with a really strong competitive edge and a mean streak. And it was so totally unfair when she wasn't selected for the Olympic team. Just because she called the national coach a hack in that one interview didn't mean she had a right to deny her a place on the team. She would show them who was the best gymnast. So she crashed the Olympics, using her acrobatic skills to get past all the security. And evade capture after security mobbed the venue. Shortly after that, she was contacted by a man asking if she had ever considered a career in cat burglary. She doesn't like to get into fights, but woe be to someone who dismisses the five-foot-nothing girl as harmless. She is a master of the gymnastic fighting style, and she will stick her landing on your face.

BoloOfEarth
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Next theme-Children of Shiva' date=' a band of five Indian super-villains bent upon destroying the world. Mwhaaa ha ha!!![/quote'] Savitr is, almost literally, the "golden boy" of the Children of Shiva. When his solar field is active (which is almost all of the time) his skin takes on a bronzed-golden hue. Savitr has solar abilities (light blasts, flashes, a pure-light form, and teleportation), all powered by the collection of solar power during the day. (Note that this requires direct or reflected sunlight and gains nothing from artificial lighting.) Thus, he is at his weakest at night, when he can rarely if ever recoup any stored energy he expends. His attitude is also that of a "golden boy." He thinks he can do no wrong, often irritating the other Children with his arrogance.
Logan D. Hurricanes
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Next theme-Children of Shiva' date=' a band of five Indian super-villains bent upon destroying the world. Mwhaaa ha ha!!![/quote'] Durgha, The Inaccessible, is an enigmatic individual. He is always seen sitting upon a floating yellow bronze disc. His arms are folded, or his hands will be clasped. The stoic face reveals little, but he always seems to be angry underneath. Durgha is powerful short-range telekinetic. The floating disc is just one manifestation of his power. Nothing can reach him unless he wishes it; a potent unseen force field surrounds him making him truly inaccessible. This doesn't stop hi from affecting the outside world, though. Never using his natural arms, six bronze hands float nearby. He keeps a variety of blades underneath the bronze disc and he can wield six at once with his bronze hands with deadly force. The hands and weapons cannot extend beyond nine feet from his body, his effective telekinetic limit. His attacks lack subtlety; what he lacks in fighting skill he makes up for with astonishing speed. A whirling bladestorm, his most feared attack, can, and has, cut a literal path through crowds of people. Durgha's mind is as inaccessible as his body. He is nearly immune to presence attacks and telepathy.

Unlike many weather manipulating supers, Rudra does not ride the winds or fly. He walks -- glorying in the devastation all around him -- on the ground. As dangerous as the storms he commands can be, it is the simple sight of Rudra that is his most potent power. He is terrifying to behold. death tribble
Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! The Druid Known to some as the Dread Druid or the Black Druid, he is a master of nature. He despairs of the eco-movement pointing out that more and more disasters happen and still the same things continue to happen. Bhopal, Chernobyl, the Torrey Canyon and Exxon Valdez disasters to name but a few. So now instead of negotiating he starts something for people to worry about. Like Tidal Waves or a volcano suddenly coming to life in Iceland. The human race, as is, disgusts him. He shall show them to respect mother nature or else. He can create and destroy using any element of nature as well as summoning animals and insects. The others prefer to use him as the ace in the hole and have him attack from the sidelines or help spirit them away. So far he has not been discovered.
