Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The woman known as Indiglo has the ability to project holograms and a light purple laser beam (not terribly powerful, but it's the only attack she has). She can also bend light around herself, effectively turning herself invisible (though anybody looking through an indigo-tinted lens will see her clearly). Prior to joining Full Spectrum, she was a sneak thief who just barely escaped from a superhero and realized there is power -- and safety -- in numbers.

She is the team's stealth and infiltration specialist. She also has an ironclad Code vs. Killing, so she refuses to use her laser on anybody without visible, significant armor.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Representing green is Cyan, a woman of undetermined age and heritage. She refuses to give her name (the rest of the team just calls her 'Cy'), but is fluent in French, Cantonese, Farsi and Russian as well as English. A master of disguise, her speciality is assassination. Cyan is capable of producing toxic cyanide (something she herself has an immunity to) and usually prefers to touch a victim's exposed skin in order for them to absorb her poison. In a pinch though, she can produce a deadly AoE gas attack. Unlike Indiglo, Cyan has no CvK and has no qualms about killing innocents if they get in the way or could cause the rest of the team trouble. Unnervingly, she also has a high level of mental defense.

Violent is violet. He is the team's weapons master and general demolitions force. He tells everyone that his weapons are specially built to do the damage they do. The real secret is he charges the weapons with his own energy for use.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Mellow Yellow is the team's mind controller. It is rather more empathy and Mellow Yellow can calm people down. It gives the effect that they have smoked some dope. Mellow tends to speak like a hippy but resents being called one, 'Uncouth, man, Uncouth.' He also does not like having to calm Red Giant down as it seems to cause him pain and what appeared to be internal bleeding. Mellow prefers to calm people and delude them so that the team can get in somewhere or get away. He also keeps out of Cyan's way.

Conductor represents orange. In a laboratory accident, he was doused in a copper-like, liquid room temperature superconductor. It bonded into his skin, and now he has the power to conduct energy from attacks into boosting the powers of his teammates.

New team: The Draconians

Five superhuman vigilantes who seek to punish all criminals. However, they subscribe to the philosophy of Draco; that any crime should be punished by death.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

For some reason I want the Draconians to represent the Eastern five elements, and be named Fire Dragon, Water Dragon, Earth Dragon, Metal Dragon, and Wood Dragon, or variations thereof. I have an idea for Metal Dragon; I'll hold off on it, though, until I see whether others want to follow that pattern.

Actually, I really love the concept, but I dont know if it works with this team concept. Just my opinion. But, it doesnt matter all that much. I even have a (very) vague idea for one dragon.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

I brushed the dust from my hands. Y'know, for a rich and successful guy, Peter Carruthers sure had a mess of a place, especially his bedroom. I hoped his housekeeper was scheduled to come through soon. I wondered what she'd think when she saw the mess.

Carruthers was a cheater. Peter the Cheater. He cheated in school, cheated on his girlfriend, cheated on his taxes. He probably even cheated at games during the company picnic. Cheated big-time in business, which is how he made his fortune -- stealing properties from people who were down on their luck and didn't know better. He had six lawsuits against him, as well as a DA investigation into Pete's business practices, though he had been confident he'd never see jail or pay a dime in fines. Pete's lawyer was an even bigger cheat than Pete.

As I walked through his penthouse apartment, I glanced at the pictures on the wall -- all of Pete, the self-absorbed twit -- and then headed for the kitchen. I was lucky. Pete kept some decent bottled water in the fridge, and using my powers to this extent always wears me out. I wasn't all that thirsty -- being Water Dragon, Lord of all Liquids, meant that I'm never dehydrated -- but there was a certain irony in having a drink at Pete's expense.

After drinking half the bottle, I decided to be a good guest and headed back toward Pete's bedroom to say goodbye to my host. Not that he'd hear me. Water was still drippng down the walls and from the ceiling, forming little craters in the pile of powdery dust on the bed. As I looked around at the water-splattered walls and my feet squelched in the soaked carpeting, I pondered just how much water is in the human body. Or was, in the case of Pete Carruthers.

"Goodbye, Pete. Cheat no more." I saluted the pile of dust on the bed with the water bottle, then turned around and headed for the door. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Though suffering from a slight unnamed mental illness for most of her life, Lin Walking Bear lived a peaceful, normal life for many years. Her father was a policeman in the Sisseton, in the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation, and her mother was a political refugee from Tibet. She learned her father's skill at firearms, and her mother's ways of kung fu, and passionately came to know and love her heritage on both sides.

Then, when Lin was seventeen, horror struck her home: criminals whom her father had jailed for relatively small crimes took their revenge by gunning down her parents in front of their home. She was on her way home from school at the time, and found their bodies lying out front.

This impassioned her. Now, under the moniker Metal Dragon, she seeks to put down all criminals with the steel of her sword, the lead of her bullets, and occasionally other metals (including bullets laced with silver or depleted uranium, or arsenic placed in food and drink). She even found a way to pay for her college education and become a metallurgist -- and there's hardly a metal on the periodic table that she hasn't found a way to utilize as some sort of weapon.

The criminals who killed her parents had been petty criminals -- there had been no clue that they were about to commit murder. Now her attitude is that all habitual criminals are potential murderers, and seeks to destroy them for the good of society.

She now makes her home in Grand Forks, where she works as an assistant professor at the University of North Dakota while staying close to her surviving family in Sisseton.

Fire Dragon is a man possessed by a fire demon from the Netherworld. He can project fire and transform into a monstrous form. He was sent to expand his infernal masters' dominions by hunting down and killing wrongdoers, who then wind up in the Netherworld dominions of his masters. He will kill anyone who has done sufficient wrong to be condemned to the Netherworld, even if they have committed no criminal acts.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Mining is a notoriously dangerous occupation particularly in China. Li Ba got caught in one explosion which selaed a coal mine. The owners closed the entrance and assumed that all the miners had died. Li Ba survived and when he could not get out one way he tried tp find another way out. The ways were all blocked bar one but it led down. He continued on and eventually collapsed exhausted.

Then he felt he was having a discussion with someone but there was no-one else left alive.

'I am sorry. I am lost. The mine blew up. I must get out. Get help'

'But I must !'

Li Ba felt himself travelling through the ground as if it was water. When he came to he was on the outside. The mine personnel recognised him and he was accused of causing the explosion. It was then that Li Ba smiled and turned into Earth Dragon. He ate those responsible for the mine and then fled before the army turned up.

The dragon has decided to explore and kill those that hurt his people. Oh and the Japanese but tht was to be expected.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Since Water was claimed, the sorceress Melusina aligns herself as Wood Dragon. Her forte is dealing with evil magic users (even those who innocently or accidentally dabble with dark powers). Her rage against those who would misuse and abuse magic is fierce and even the other Dragons give her a wide berth.

Though her power is quite formidable already, Melusina actually IS a real dragon. She's also has a loose partnership with The Sophia, since they share similar goals and brutal mindsets (something that neither of their respective teams are aware of). The Sophia has taught Melusina her cloaking spell and in return, Melusina gives her any information she discovers about the villainous cadre of magicians the rest of the Sisters are after. Like all dragons, Melusina likes treasure and has no qualms about adding any sorcerous items she claims from her victims to her hoard (once they're thoroughly examined for traps and dangers, of course).

New Team: The Pride

Theme: While some species of cats prefer solitude, this feline-inspired team understands the concept of safety in numbers. Still, it doesn't prevent a few of them butting heads when egos arise.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Richard Johnston always had an affinity for cats. He was well-known to the police as an incompetent burglar. Once, when he was caught by police leaving someone's house with a sack full of their valuables, he violently resisted arrest. As he struggled against the police, they were attacked by a vast herd of cats! Johnston found that the cats would obey him, and they finished off the police. Now known as Ulthar, Johnston uses his power of herding murderous cats to commit crimes.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

I'm going to have to keep a close eye on this thread over the next few days. The Pride is team #99, and I'm hoping to nab team #100 when the time comes. So in addition to the character below, I'm going to go write up another member of the Pride.

The cat-woman known as Siamese refuses to talk about how she came to be or why she chose a life of crime. She's far from the most powerful member of the Pride, having fairly normal claws and the ability to put most common housecats into a trance and then command them. She has a huge percentage of the cats in the campaign city and environs in her thrall most of the time (when Ulthar doesn't take more direct charge of herds of them -- his control is stronger than hers). They give her a lot of information (not all are useful, but the calico cat that hangs around the local hero team is one of Siamese's spies).

Unbeknownst to most of her Pride-mates, she also has the ability to duplicate herself, and on most of the Prides criminal operations she has her duplicate stay behind, safe and sound and ready to break her and the rest of the Pride free in case plans go awry.

Weretiger

He's big and powerful and no you can't turn him into medicine as your methods will work on animals not lycanthropes. After leaving China and with stop offs in Japan and Australia. He appeared in America, 'You need muscle. I'm it' was his introduction to the others. He spends so much time in his were form that no one can recall his human ID. He does hate Rakshasa who works for Dr Destroyer.

Bayana Timur is Desert Lynx. Blessed by the spirit of the caracal, this young Turkish woman is a mistress of invisibility and stealth. Her night vision is excellent and she fights like the dervishes of old with her two katars. She likes using smoke bombs and blinding dust for those opponents who actually manage to see her. Her leaping is on par with Cerulean Cougar's and the two often fight in tandem.

Cat's Paw is Myron Mayer, or is he? He is an accountant for a small concrete business, or he is a demon from another dimension. He loves long walks, a good book, and helping his client save money, maybe.

The only thing for sure is running into Myron at the wrong time could lead into trouble.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The inaccurately-named Snow Panther is actually an albino leopard who was granted human intelligence by an unknown mad scientist. Shortly after his first conscious thoughts, Snow Panther broke free of his cage, killed the scientist, set fire to the lab, and escaped. He often vies for Desert Lynx’s attention and is very jealous of Cerulean Cougar for the way that Cougar and Lynx often work so closely together.

New Team (#100!): The Centurions

Members: 10 + 1

The ten Centurions are the super-powered vanguard of the Legion, a Euro-centric criminal organization modeled after the Roman Legions of old. Each Centurion commands a hundred Legion agents in a different section of the world. There are at least three in Europe, with the others scattered across the globe. (Please specify the country or region in which your Centurion is based.) The Centurions occasionally get together for large-scale Legion operations. They all answer to a single powerful person, who should also be named and described. (That’s the “+1” noted above.)

Marcus Aurelius

This is the German based leader of the Legion whose role has become more important since German re-unification. He is cultured and prefers to reduce his enemies gradually and without them knowing it rather than an all out strike. But woe betide you if you think this makes him weak. He has remained on top for at least 30 years whilst rivals have come, gone and imploded. He has powers of mind control based on empathy and suggestion. He does not appear to wear armour but it is beneath his robes and he does have a force field that covers his bare head. He appears much as Richard Harris and Alec Guinness portrayed Marcus Aurelius in the movies.
