Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Mack Agnew was known as the Nattering Nabob when he did the costumed villain thing. While the ability to induce any "negative" emotion by simply talking to the target had its uses, it just wasn't master criminal material. He's somewhat happier with the Nixon gang.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Samantha Haldeman is a professional ghost. With the ability to walk through walls and turn invisible at will, she earned millions as a freelance espionage agent, sometime thief, and occasional assassin. She's worked for corporations worldwide, for governments, for terrorist groups... she once even did a job for PBS; she made it look like a tragic accident, and the network got their funding.

She knows its not honest work, but it keeps her in the lifestyle to which she's become accustomed.

She met the rest of the Nixon Gang on a job. At first, she was going to use her standard tactic of just walking away, but then Hunt made her an offer. And the money has been rolling in...

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Sorry, messed up. Here is:

Billy Colson is termed Special Counsel by the rest of the team. His ability is to obtain information. No one knows how he does it. But, if the Nixon Gang needs to find out something, give him a little time and he'll find what you need. No questions asked. He also has a history with Hunt.

That's 6, past the min. of 5. If you guys dont mind I do have another idea for a team (although I did one recently). I thought up of this today, and didnt want to forget it.

Team: Heaven's Devils

Members: 7-9

A gang of bikers who terrorize a small town. One night when they were hanging out at the park, a strange meteor crossed the sky. Interestingly, they found out they had superpowers as a result of it. They take advantage of this by taking even more control of their little town.

Note: Preferably no movement powers, they really like their wheels. And, yes, I know I am ripping off the Hell's Angels name.

Speed Demon

Previously Larry was just one of the gang and they could be kind of ambivalent about him. Not so since the meteor. Sure like some of the others it takes more of a punch to put him down now. What he can now do is speed up or slow down a vehicle or a bunch of vehicles Very useful for getaways for the gang. Or robbing a truck. Or stopping at the side of the road and watching the pursuit suddenly accelerate anyway like nobodies business. Larry is now valued. He ain't the boss and that suits him just fine.

Note: I thought a movement power that acts on the bikes or other transport was well within reason

Bull

Formerly know as the Bike Named "Bulhemina". Because of the Meteor Bull gained a form of Sentience, the ability to drive itself and a very limited form alteration: Bull heals damage and can create certain Personal "Weaponry" like wheelblades, or a Gun/Blaster that form between Bulls handlebars a lance-like long blade, a small Bulldozer Blade, ...

When aksed about Gender/Pronouns, Bull answered: "Bull is above puny pronouns and human gender." When they tried to Drive on Bull, Bull threw of everybody. That is how Bull came to to be named Bull. Bull only hangs around with the others because Bull likes it.

One of the Devils Angels first truck heists got Bull a limited Holographic Emiter, just enough to create the illusion of a Driver when being inconspicuous is paramount.

P.S.: Bonuspoints for however writes up Bulheminas former Driver.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Ted "Tanker" Terblonski is not the brightest bulb in the lamp, but when you stand over 6 feet tall and can shove compact cars around, intelligence isn't really a preqrequisite. The meteor made him a bit stronger and tougher (he's a low-level brick now), but his real talents are the ability to generate a stream of gasoline (thankfully, from the pores in the palm of his left hand -- the alternatives aren't worth consideration), and an apparent invulnerability to fire. A bit of a natural firebug, Tanker loves to spray an area with gasoline and then strike a match. He also has a wrist-mounted lighter to turn himself into a walking flamethrower.

Luckily for the town, Tanker doesn't seem able to release his gasoline spray as a fine mist, otherwise the Heaven's Devils would have their own portable fuel-air bomb.

Andrew Rexia, nicknamed "Wrecks," in addition to losing his ride and gaining the common minor physical enhancements, now has a Limited form of Flight with a Physical Manifestation. Essentially he can "summon" a motorcycle, or if he wants, he can vary the appearance to anything one rides astride, such as a horse....or a bull.

Lucius Alexander

The palindromedary reads

The man known as McCord is a former CIA agent turned second-story man. He has the ability to stretch his fingers into remarkably strong cables (or cords) approximately 50 feet long' date=' each with reasonable manipulative ability and slightly higher-than-normal strength. He typically uses them to climb buildings and reach through small openings to deactivate alarms and open locks. He usually carries a fiber-optic camera with a 50-foot lead so he can see where his finger-cords are going.[/quote']

Rebecca Ann Liddy was a profesinal pickpocket and shoplifter before answering an underworld add posted by ARGENT. Thay gave her the ability to generate a pocket dimention and made her steal for them as payment for the services as "Packrat". She hated that non-de-crime, but was enlaved to them till she literly bumped into Black Diamond when on the job. Black Diamond helped her excape them, and she joined her group for a while, but never fitted in with the superbattles (and to make maters worse, because of her powers, Cat coulden't teleport her as he can the others). So, once she met McCloud, she was offered a place with his group (and a semi-garentee of no gaudie outfits and silly coadnames and no superfights apealed to her). Sometimes refered to as D.P. (for Deep Pockets...woe to thoes who refer to her as Packrat), she sometimes refers to McCloud as L.F. (Long Fingers).

Powers: She can transport anything non curently alive to her pocket dimention, and bring it out again. She can dress herself in an instant (Insta Change), and can pull out easly usable gadgets (a small VVP), along with 'storage' (Extradimentinal Transport, Usable Aganst Others, Only Usable Aganst Others, Transdimentinal [to retreave the objects sent], Not VS Living Things, for the basic build).

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Payton "Patch" Johnson

None of the devils are what you'd call nice guys, but Patch is a true piece of work. Lean and lanky in appearance, he wasn't as physically intimidating as some of his compatriots, but when numbers were on his side, he was quick to suggest causing trouble or violence. Alone on his own? He was a bit more cautious, some would even say cowardly.

But that's changed thanks to his new powers. Patch can now reshape flesh, and to a lesser degree even bone. His first trick was to fuse the sherrif's gun arm to the man's own forehead and leave it stuck there. The look of terror on the man's face was a rush. Another deplorable trick he pulls is finding a hot chick, then marring her, and threatening to "leave it like that" if she's not "appreciative".

His powers wear off after a day or two, but most of his victims don't realize that. He can almost make people better looking for just as long, causing him to boast "Patch doesn't have to bang the fuglies anymore, eh boys?" Some of the guys even bring their women around for frequent 'touch ups', and Patch is cool with that. While his changes are temporary, they also serve as an emergency method of treating broken bones or wounds in the short term.

Yes sir, Patch is feeling cocky and confident and its going to get him killed one day.

See, the one person Patch can't alter is himself, and one day, some lucky towns person with a gun and a grudge is likely to end him but good.

And there's not one person who knew him who'd deny he deserved it.

Larry "Rusty" Blaids was the groups sword guy...in the fact that he carried a samuri sword and could use it in a crude fashion. When the skyrock slamed down to the earth, he found himself with your standard brick powers, and the ability to rust any metal his fists or his sword comes in contact with.

Back to the Nixion Group...

Thay say that Stans is the man. Knowbody knows exactly why. Simply put, Stans simply showed up one day and joined by the fact that he never goes away. And he is useful. Stans can teleport himself anywhere without strain, as long is it is somewhere on Earth, and that a member has been there before. Beyond that, he can tap into some sort of 'cosmic skill' which gives him any number of skills which would make him useful (a VVP with a limitation of 'only skills/talents which can make sence to the GM/skill-like powers).

Stans ("the Man"),

Rebecca Ann Liddy ("Deep Pockets", "Packrat"),

McCloud ("Long Fingers"),

Billy Colson ("Special Councle"),

Samantha Haldsman ("Ghost"),

Hunt,

Mack Agnew ("Nathering Naboo").

I count 7...who am I leaving out?

Oh...found #8...is the second Haldsman counted?

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

So, for Heaven's Devils we have:

  • Speed Demon - increase/decrease vehicle speed
  • Bull - sentient cycle
  • Tanker - gasoline projection and fire immunity
  • Wrecks - Flight with physical manifestation
  • Patch - reshape flesh and bone of others
  • Rusty - brick who rust metals he or his sword touches

Every cycle gang needs a leader, and the leader of Heaven's Devils is Dave "Mad Dog" Maybury. He is a true alpha male, being able to turn himself into a large, incredibly tough wolf (very similar to lycanthropy, including the regeneration, vulnerability to silver, and being forced to change under a full moon). Unlike a lycanthrope, however, his bite does not cause his targets to suffer a similar fate.

Despite the lack of opposable thumbs, Mad Dog is somehow able to control his motorcycle while in wolf form. This has caused more than one person to do a double-take when they see him riding past.

Yeah, a movement on others would be fine. JUst didnt want to see them have to give up their precious wheels.:sneaky: (accepting Bull's rider of course)

Well, no bike gang seems complete without some biker chicks hangin' out, Heaven's Devils is no exception. Meet Melissa Kelly. Known as Banshee. A tomboy as a kid, she grew up liking the "bad boy". Especially a certain biker named Mad Dog. Her red hair and "cold blue" eyes give indication of her sometimes volatile temper. She now has a screaming sonic blast to go with that temper. So, dont make her mad.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Skids

Isn't it funny that the meteor just happened to land at that partiocular spot and no-one got hurt and everyone got powers ? Not likely ! Skids was planning this for a while. He'd never be able to lead the gang the way Mad Dog does but he could up the power level. He prepped the ground some years back and then did some minor focusing so that on a certain night whoosh ! isn't it amazing ? Skids is the best bike and trick rider of the group, only now he can share the power to do this. As you may have guessed Skids ain't human. And never has been. But the others don't know that.

New Team: Well we have defamed the police and by association the Fire Brigade, now it is the turn of the medical service. Emergency Ward 10 is a villainous group of doctors, nurses, paramedics and ambulance drivers. Throw in health care professionals and HMOs. Minimum 5, absolute maximum 9.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Just had this idea and have to get it down before I forget it.

Kathy Griffiths is the stereotypical nurse you fantasise about. Great body, tight unifrom which shows off said body, perky attitude and willing to please the boys. Except when needed she becomes Halo Nurse and suddenly battle armour and a gun appear around her. This enables the others to run or whatever. The gun or guns and armour are somwhat similar to those found in the Halo game. Kathy has said she got hold of a radioactive copy of the game and Master Chef (yes you read that right) appeared to her and told her of her destiny to be Halo Nurse.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Dr. Henry Eckford* is know is the calm, polite type. He always takes care that his patients are as far as possible pain-free. Nobody would expect him to be a villian, or even a bad person. They are right: he is not a human, abolutely not nice (like the rest of his species) and most likely the worst sadist that never came to be.

For his people it is normal to torture. In fact it is recreation to inflict pain on being that do not belongt to their species (and sometimes among them self) or listen to recodings of such events. Just to tell you how not nice they are: There planet/homesystem is a synonymous for hell, to all those who know of it.

And despite the fact that he is medic, he would like nothing more than to inflict pain or at least not take pain from his patients (he would be the doctor really, really nobody wants to go to, otherwise). But there is one minor difficulty, stemming form the fact that he is a mutant among his people:

Whenever he "enjoys" inflciting pain, his brain establishes a empatic connection to the one who is in pain. He fells the pain in ways he dislikes even more than not being able to inflict pain. On top of this, his people kicked him out - not because of the mutation, but because of his inability to inflict pain (wich they regard similar to being impotent). And then he stranded on this backwater planet and he had to even take this abominable human disguise. And on top of it, he can't just switch back to his normal form without mayor efforts.

So he dons a costume by his give name of Trdlk'dorg** to the worst things possible, without ever being able to inflcit pain (or even slowly killing wounds), and searches for a "cure" for his condition. On the plus side his frustration gives him a surpsingly strong mind, shielding him effectively from even strong mental powers.

*not realted to any of the other Dr. Henry Eckford's of same name I used or will use.

**when asked how to write or pronounce it, he answers "Shouting it, while being in depest agony" or similar.

The mystereous Shadowjack is an underworld doctor. If your a villian, mook, or supervillian, and can afford his fees, he will treat you with equipment which would put ARGENT to shame. Just do not ask what he plans to do with the cash, why he dresses in a shabie southern gentlaman's outfit, where he got his scars, or where he disapears to when not treating people.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Donald Shipman worked the pediatric ward at the graveyard shift when the angel took hold of him. The infant he was tending to had a heart defect...she probably wouldn't make it to her second birthday anyway. It just seemed so cruel to live so short in such pain! Better if she died at birth than live like this...

And then the angel touched him. The angel, so beautiful and cold in her righteousness, guided his hand and whispered in his ears on how to end the agony. He felt such bliss! He knew with the angel's protection he would walk unseen among those who would prevent his mercy.

When the infant flatlined, Donald was in position for the code blue. Everyone saw him as someone trying to save the poor child and failing, not as the actual killer.

And the angel was gone. That moment of perfect rapture was gone with her, replaced now by an emptiness and a sacred mission. He would learn to grant his mercy now without the angel and prove himself worthy again in her eyes. And one day, he would feel her cold caress again and be at one with her. Now stalking the graveyard shift is Atropos.

That terrible night, Donald wasn't possessed by an angel -- he was possessed by Lamia. Nothing will convince him otherwise -- not even the concept that Lamia actually despises children. For her own part, Lamia is amused by Donald's "antics" in order to court her favor again. The fact that he's getting better at killing and covering his tracks without the use of powers does impress her though. If she can just "nudge" him into keep killing children rather than adults, it would be even sweeter leading him on.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Shadowjack's surgical assistant and bill collector is Nurse No. She appears to be a preadolescent girl with curiously muted emotional responses. Nurse No is no better than competent at nursing tasks (think recent nursing school graduate) but is brilliant at firearms and thrown weapons combat. She's actually a cyborg with near superhuman reflexes and much stronger than she looks. Thus she can and will use guns far larger than she appears to be able to lift. While Nurse No is skilled enough to disarm or cripple, and usually does that, she will kill without hesitation if she deems it necessary.

No one knows her true background, but it's assumed Shadowjack either created her or fixed Nurse No after she was abandoned by a previous owner.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Malady begin her life as Doctor Latika Singh, a microbiologist working with the CDC. She was the type of doctor who enjoyed the obsessively intense pursuit of cures to the diseases still plaguing humanity. But as time went on, the hunt began to eclipse the actual humanitarian side of her work. She became far more concerned with research than actually producing vaccines.

One day, it all came crashing down around her. A simple accident, that's all. She was working with several of the most virulent strains of small pox... some of the few samples of the disease left in the world... and had been recklessly tampering with its genetics. She was crossing the disease with plague bacillus, with some anthrax thrown in for color, and a touch of Marburg haemorragic fever just for flavor when she became distracted, and then infected. The super-disease ravaged her systems, yet she did not die of it. Instead, she somehow conquered it, controlled it, and became able to mutate. She now has the power to infect anyone with powerful new strains of disease at a whim. Her mind, already obsessive, went past what could ever possibly be considered "ethical", and she started her new "experiments" on the general populace.

It should be noted that even the other members of Emergency Ward 10 think she's creepy and dangerous... but they keep her around as a "heavy hitter" anyway.

New team: The ironically named Sanction. Between five and eight members, all of whom are flagsuits from nations that are state sponsors of terrorism, rogue nations, or pariah states.
