The Iron Iapetus is the latest in a line of heroes started by the Gold Guardian. Like the three heroes who came before him, he can control the element in his name, and cause it to do a wide range of tasks from building machines, to becoming weapons, to taking on a semi-life of its own.

 

Iapetus has recently found out that he is running out of time so has rejoined Redoubt to find his successor as the Bronze Battler found him before he retired from the good fight.

Cheryl Waters was one of the women who took on the role of Teen Cheerleader in Teen America. After finishing college she felt that her career was over and like previous other members of the team she would fade into obscurity. But the Viridian Bat put paid to that with the Great Detroit Sandwich Caper ! Cheryl was one of several heroes who scrambled to thwart the villain and she found she missed being part of the law enforcement business. So after finishing off the battle, she put feelers out and joined the fledgling Redoubt as Aspis

Kid Justice started out with the Justice Master before graduating as a teenager to Teen Brigade. He was on the verge of retiring when Justice Master asked him to continue with others as a way of preparing for the day when he had to retire. So Kid Justice became Knight of Justice and joined Redoubt as a way of fighting large organisations and teams instead of working solo.

The hero known as the Scarrow started as the sidekick, Straw.  Taking on his mentor's identity, he is the targeting tatterdemalion of justice.

Penny Copper the Gizmo Girl is the daughter of inventor/adventurer Doc Copper and accompanied him, often against his wishes, on his travels around the globe discovering the mysteries and fighting evil. She would eventually join the Empire Statesmen one of the first "superteams". The team disbanded in the mid 70s and Penny became the administrator of the Copper Academy, a school for children with exceptional abilities. Sadly the Academy was destroyed by the Lethal Legion and a emotionally devastated and physically wounded Penny went into seclusion. Recently, at the request of the other members of Redoubt she has joined as the resident inventor and tech expert. She now goes by name Doc Copper.

Thanks for the heads up in both threads death tribble clearly counting is not my strong suit. I'll throw out this idea and apologies if the concept has already been used as I haven't read the entire thread. Majestic 12-12 individuals who were present when the most powerful superhero in the world Majestic fell victim to his rival Obsidious and all gained one of Majestic's many powers when his life essence left his body.

Riley Vincent can turn any vehicle into his beloved Bean, a flying ship straight out of science fiction. While Riley doesn't actively conceal his identity, his friends call him UFO

Gort

 

Shirley Woznaski gained some of Majestic's invulnerability. Unfortunately her power manifested when she watched the science fiction film 'The Day The Earth Stood Still' and she manifested as the robot Gort. This has led to her being called by that name. She is slow moving in her new form but can take insane levels of damage. She can fire back but this is a latent mutant power that activated with the change into Gort

The Grays-Steven, Jennifer, and Patsy Oliver gained Majesitc's powerful psionic abilities and were transformed into beings with grey waxy skin, large round heads with large  black eyes. They are mind linked and their telepathy, telekinesis etc are much stronger when they are in close proximity. (They count as 3 towards the 12 to help move this along I would think)

 

LGM-(Little Green Man)  Marvin Marshman gained the ability to shrink his body down to near microscopic levels. When his power is active his skin takes on a green coloration. He has recently discovered that with great effort he can also grow to giant size, but this tires him very quickly.

 

Men in Black- His identity unknown this suit and dark glasses wearing man gained the ability to create duplicates of himself. If there is a strange event or suspicious disaster you can be sure one of his copies is nearby to investigate.

Daryl Ecks is the most cautious of the group and the one who, if he could, would return his power. For quite some time he did not know he had the power nor what it would do. Then he found himself pursued as he was detected and deemed to be carrying a power. Despite an attack when people tried to force him to reveal his secret and he could not, he remained anonymous. Until he saw episodes of Dr Who. The power seemed to respond to it. And then only when he said the magic word. The magic word 'Exterminate !'. This unleashes a volley of deadly energy. As far as Daryl was concerned things could not get worse but they did. When he realised that the targeting was similar and then he could hit a target more often than not. This is what really worries him. He does not like using his power but unfortunately it can be necessary for the group. Just don't tell The Human Dalek that.

Inheriting Majestic's flying abilities, Mike Vincent has become the Comet.

majestic had a source of information that allowed him to perceive things happening so that he could move in and stop the crisis almost before it started. Kelly Twain inherited that source and started putting it to use as Blue Book

A former 100-pound weakling, Trevor Corwin inherited Majestic's incredible strength.  He now fights crime as Strongarm.

Lightspeed

 

Judy Davis inherited the speed of Majestic and became the speedster Lightspeed. She tends to avoid combat as she has only minor abilities and therefore cannot do much to tackle criminals. She can however disarm them, provide recon and first aid.

As I counted the Grays as 3 entries I believe that Lightspeed gets us to 12 so the next hero team theme is yours to name death tribble.

Known as The Four Gospels, these four heroes Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are religious based and fight crime. Detail who they are and their superhero names

John is the Revelator. He is perhaps the most feared of the Gospels even though his power is nothing more than to make people see and feel everything wrong they have ever done to anyone else. Some change their lives to be better. Some kill themselves when they see the truth.

The Healer Luke is a doctor like the evangelist Luke and can use healing not only on the body but on the mind of a patient which can be disconcerting to various supervillains who have mental afflictions. He can also take damage onto himself that has been done to others which he can also reduce which again annoys supervillains. His costume bears the Rod of Asclepius which is the correct symbol for healthcare not the caduceus.

The Evangelist-Mark can channel what he considers to be the word of God. To the innocent it provides comfort, encouragement and guidance. To the guilty it can provide terrible judgment and this aspect is accompanied by a golden aura of a winged lion surrounding Mark as he sounds a roar that debilitates the target and against demonic entities can destroy or banish them from this reality.

Matthew is the Unknown Prophet. His ability is giving advice that changes the outlook for the person he is talking to, and showing them how to change things for the better.

Corporal Clemson is an unusual case. You see he keeps appearing and disappearing. The disappearing usually happens after he has been shot or otherwise 'killed in combat'. Sometime later he comes back unwounded. Where he goes and what happens is unknown and no-one to date has found out. The corporal is more than a little distressed at this and gets quite agitated if questioned. He recalls he fought in Italy and possibly elsewhere but now operates a Jack Reacher style of existence by not staying in one place for very long. The Incredible Hulk  series of the 70s frightened him greatly as some of the episodes had a resonance. Not the turning into a green brick but the situations where Banner found employment. Clemson is referred to as The Disappearing Man

Sergeant Charles Victor is a veteran of the Brigade's operations in the Nam against the Unholy Kuo, and the reviled Demon Shadows. Charlie had earned himself a name as the  Moravian Mole for his ability to dig his way out of any situation.

Lt. Nico Garibaldi served in Word War 2 with the original formation of the Devil's Brigade. During a mission he was captured and turned over to Doctor Von Schrek, a Nazi scientist working on the Ubermensch super soldier process. Garibaldi was to be a guinea pig to be used and discarded, but the process worked and Garibadi used his heightened strength, speed and regenerative abilities to break free, kill Von Schrek and destroy the facility. He continued to serve the US military as a secret weapon under various codenames, Black Devil, Red Spear, Brave One etc. Over the decades showing little sign of aging due to his abilities. He will be a very personal target of the White Master as Von Schrek was one of his relatives to fall to the Brigade.
