Create a Hero Theme Team!

Recommended Posts

Penny Parton is Partition. Her opera gloves give her the ability to split any matter in front of her. She doesn't know how she got stuck with Partition as her heroine name since it's the opposite of what she does, but she's learned to put up with it. Penny is not addicted to being a heroine. She has a set time in her schedule for it.

Lady In White

Hattie Kittridge wears the bone white gloves that give her the powers of invisibility, intangibility, the ability to generate a chilling mist and to project fear into targets. She is much more secretive and less public than the rest of the team and isn't interested in living a second younger more glamorous life, but just tries to do good and then return to her normal life. Hattie has always been a curious sort and whenever she picked a book for the club it was always a mystery. This has extended into her hero career as she has often teams with Detective Valerie Alvarez to help solve murder cases as opposed to more flashy battles with supervillains. Hattie is also worried that the gloves may be altering their personalities the more they are worn and has tried to discover more about their origins as well as the background the magician who gifted them.

Lady Sings the Blues

Lesley Andrews becomes Madame Du Bonclaire when she wears the blue opera gloves. She is a short haired blonde with a blue mask, blue evening dress, blue hat (if appropriate), blue gloves, sapphires and blue shoes. The most well connected of the group she is thought to be an amateur detective in the manner of Agatha Christie's Ms Marple. She is interested in mysteries and will drag the others into it even when they might not want to. She can teleport, can project force walls and blasts with fire. She tends to behave as if addicted while using her powers which has confused her colleagues at times. She has deductive skills and also likes to work like an amateur Raffles.

New team: The Ten Commandments

This team is based on the 10 Commandments. Detail at least five of them. They live to enforce their specific commandment

Bear Witness

This member of the group is affected by a form of lycanthropy. If someone lies in front of them he turns into a bear and tries to attack them. The mere sight of someone turning into a bear in front of them is enough to make most people run to the hills, swear off alcohol and make an oath to never ever tell a lie again. This did not unfortunately put a hunter off who lied in front of him and shot him after he turned into a bear only to find out that he was immune to bullets. And he can talk as well. As long as you do not tell a lie, you are safe as Bear Witness will not attack anyone who does not lie. This makes him the bane of advertisers, politicians and spin doctors. He is also lethal in a prison environment because everyone is innocent there of course. Bear Witness cannot tell a lie and does not believe in evasions either.

Bear Witness looks like a grizzly bear with a black surcoat with a gold coloured cross.

Zabzel

A minor shapeshifting demonic imp who was tasked to seduce and corrupt people into committing adultery. However an encounter with the Four Gospels saw Zabzel reforming into an agent of good and joining the 10 Commandments. Now it uses it's power much like it used to in charming individuals who have a desire to stray from their spouses. Now instead of committing the act and dooming their souls Zabzel shapeshifts into it's true demonic form to "scare them straight" or more often into the image of their spouse, children or other loved one to counsel them to change their ways.

Simplifier

This member of the group looks at the making of graven images and works to change people's minds. However the cult of celebrity has given him problems as some have suggested he should kill the celebrities or destroy the magazines that make them idols. He wears a simple uniform that resembles a lower member of the church with a black tunic and a white tie. Most of the time Simplifier will try and talk someone out of the worship of idols but if he is facing an idol such as gargoyle he is empowered and can blast the idol to pieces with holy power. This has also been the fate of demons who can also be considered as idols.

Simplifier wears a bullet proof layer as some of the foes have sent gunmen to kill what they see as the weakest member of the team.. He also knows first aid and has some martial arts knowledge mainly for self defence.

Gus Florshem is under a curse. That curse extends to everyone around him. Stolen objects are automatically returned to their owner. It's not much of a power, but when he is roaming around on his errands, plenty of people find money they thought they lost, their wallets, books are balanced with the money returned, material objects back where they belong.

If the object is destroyed, or perishable, Gus's curse doesn't work. Everything else is RETURNED.

Okay, I guess I do have at least one more.

Votary

Sister Mary Abigail took a vow of silence, but soon discovered that she was now actually mute. She prayed on her condition and soon realized she could induce silence upon others temporarily. She took this to be a divine gift and uses her power to strike at blasphemers who would use the name of the Lord to spread falsehoods, hate, or condemn or demean His works.

I think this concept has been done before and if so just disregard and the next person with a solid idea can take the spot.

New Team: ESPies a 6 member team of espionage agents with psionic abilities.

They can team up with the other teams. I'll think of something to put down.

Overlook

This member of the team has a version of precognition or farsight that enables him to view what is going on over a long distance. He has also learned to lip read so that he can determine what people are saying as well. Any form of darkness or fog can mask what he can see but he can pass on the general direction of the enemy. He can be vulnerable to attack so someone usually stays with him to protect him.  He can zoom in and out with his gift.

Sometimes you need someone who can go toe to toe with a target, and not nuke everything from orbit. You need someone like Kurogane, a man who reads what others intend, and acts accordingly. The fact that he can strike the target's nervous system with any weapon he picks up is a bonus.

Travelling Show

This member of the group can entrance a target and make them believe that something else is happening but the more disruption, i.e. noise, that is happening in the vicinity the harder it is to do. They also can only work their mojo on one person or animal not an entire group.

The ESPies' last member is the Ghost Mask. A master of espionage and infiltration, no one has seen the real face of the Ghost Mask, or learned his ability to mentally possess others is so good, he can pass for anyone anywhere while remaining locked in his room trying to figure out how to play the latest computer game.

Once a year, eight racers use a route that cross part of the globe before moving on to the next planet on the route. Their machines are some of the fastest, most well armed vehicles ever seen. And the drivers aren't afraid to do some rescue work on the side even if costs them time.

Who are the heroic Star Car drivers and the names of their machines.

(I know we did a similar thing for the villain list, and probably one for this list too. I'm trying to stir up the story machine.

Griem Ghast drives the Spooky Spoiler. This silvery dagger has a skull for the front, and fog for the exhaust. It's main weapons are poltergeists, while defensively it is usually untouchable as it makes its ghostly way along the highways and biways of the country that is home to the race that year.

The dashing, daring, and debonair Mako Magnifico pilots the SabreShark Supercycle.  Mako has cybernetic implants to enhance his reflexes to handle the high speeds that the SabreShark is capable of and his strength to keep it under control. His weapons include a laser katana array, micro missle cluster launchers and for defense he relies on his speed and his heightened reflexes to dodge attacks. He is a bit cocky and at times takes unnecessary risks, but he will put his ego in check when it comes to helping those in need.

Champagne Charlie

A woman so tough that she wears an eyepatch over both eyes with red skulls. Charlie hails from France thus the nickname. She drives the Crimson Corvette which isn't really like a corvette. It is an air car which allows her to travel through the air. She is a skilled mechanic and is capable of structural repair but she needs others to assist in the heavy lifting. Something happened to her eyes which is why she has the two eyepatches but there seems to be something odd with her eyes that she does not want orther people to see.
