Frostbite had an idea. Though he could easily create ice warriors they weren't much use for anything other than fighting, and they weren't very bright . So instead of using his power to create dozens of the he focused it into creating a companion. It was a great strain but it worked. She didn't melt, was quite intelligent, and didn't need to be told what to do. Unfortunatly for him that independence led to her betrayal. With him gone she began to settle into the world. her exotic good looks making her a famous model and she has branched out into acting. But the Ice Princess's real passion is defending the planet. As such she has become the public face of The Cool Crusaders. A group of five heroes based around wintery themes.

Ok, Iceblock isn't really much on this whole winter thing particularly.  He even spent part of his childhood in Tallahassee.  But, he was a generic brick that wanted to be a hero.   So the team gave him a pale blue and white outfit, he thought of the name.  And here we are.

Chad Hopkins may be the most relaxed person you've ever met.   The youngest son of well-to-do parents, he's never really had to work for much.  At age 23, he spends most summers surfing and most winters snowboarding.  He didn't even get stressed when his mutant temperature control powers manifested.  Even though he can melt steel or freeze somebody solid, he just used his powers to keep his beer cold and reheat leftover pizza.

 

He only got into the whole hero gig because he became smitten with Ice Princess.  She doesn't share the same attraction, and she's made that clear to Chad, but he still wants to be around her and hopes one day she'll fall for him.  Until then, he'll use his powers as Chillax,

Brad Consumo has long been a member of the hockey community. He built that up into being a good player until he retired after too many injuries. Brad volunteered for a medical experiment in the hopes of living a more normal life. The results allowed him to gain his normal mobility plus the ability to slide anywhere.

 

He adopted the Silver Skater as his hero name.

Cool runnings

 

There are many ways to gain super powers radioactive spider bites super serums and ancient alien artifacts but Robert Manley Sledge is probably the only person who got his powers from an enchanted VHS tape. Young Bobby sledge was fascinated by snow and ice for as long as he could remember but growing up poor in Jamaica he never experienced it it one day he caught the last half of cool running the 1993 movie about the jamaican bobsled team and he was hooked he scrimped and saved to buy his own copy and watched it fanatically for years until the tape wore out. This was long after the rise of the Dvd and Desperate to obtain a new copy Bobby scoured every second hand store in town until finally he found a little hole in the wall shop he had never seen before filled with all sorts of trinkets and junk the wizened old proprietor asked Bobby what he sought and produced a copy of the VHS still pristine in shrink wrap Bobby would have given up everything he owned for a new copy but the proprietor just 10 jamaican dollars (which is about 10 cents/pence)

Bobby took the tape straight home and began to watch it he felt from the start something was different it might have been the crispness of the brand new tape lacking the distortion And crackle his constant viewings had made on the old copy but when the team first landed in Canada he knew it was more than that when they first left the terminal he felt the cold as if he was there and as he continued to feel more and more involved in the action he felt every turn and impact until finally the movie ended and Bobby knew he had changed. Bobby somehow had gained the power to create elaborate ice constructs. He tried to find the store once more but it was gone just a blank wall where it should have been. Donning a copy of the bobsleigh team's uniform and became a superhero he found that his constructs didn't last long in the Caribbean heat and he now travels through colder parts of the world with the cool crusaders.

His main tactic is creating ice slides and then sliding ice constructs down it at speed his favorite is of course ice versions of the jamaican Bob Sleigh. Bobby is a young athletic black male in his 20s wearing a form fitting black body suit with green and gold crosses

 

Bob hates being called Frozone and being asked where his super suit is.

 

For the 200 I think the winner of this one should pick the cell type

Phil Boggs created the chronometer to study effects caused by the environment on a microscopic scale. When he realized he had created a device that allowed him to freeze the motions of atoms, he realized he had a thing that people would kill to steal. Adopting the persona of Zero, Boggs uses his device to freeze dangers long enough to do something about them.

Donna Reid is Snowstorm.  Having the ability to create instant blizzards.  She uses the ability to disorient foes and contain them in snow or ice.

Well either cysphrett or badger can pick the type of cell for the 200 either a regional team guarding a city nation or region, a specialist team who deal with a particular type of threat or task force dealing with one specific threart

200: Team New Orleans

 

Not sure whether they are centered their of just stationed there.   But, since lots of crazy supernatural things go down in New Orleans, they primarily specialize in stopping certain such threats. 

 

Members:  I'll say 6 or so, if someone wants to go over that, fine.

 

Note: I really don't know if they should just focus on New Orleans, or just have their base there, and travel as needed.  If someone has a clear idea on that, by all means.

Dr Pierre Fossoyeur was already a guardian of the city before being recruited by the 200 as a medical examiner for the city he found himself assisting the police when a very strange murder came in and the police were unwilling to investigate Dr Fossoyeur took matters into his own hands his investigation draw him deeper and deeper into new Orleans occult under ground his investigation lead him to a voodoo church and it was during that ceremony when he first became a mount for the Loa Baron Samedi the Baron is the traditional guardian of Graves and the dead and wished to help Pierre solve the case as someone was infringing on his territory. With the baron's aid Pierre successful unmasked a group of high ranking local officials engaged in sordid black magic rites. The investigation cost him his jobs as the friends of those powerful people set out to destroy him. Pierre became a private investigator assisted by the loa in particular Baron Samedi he dealt with weird cases that the authorities swept under the rug. He was very successful and was then recruited by the 200 he still works as a PI as part of his cover. Pierre wears a somewhat threadbare black tuxedo he carry a .45 1911 loaded with custom silver rounds in his jacket he has a silver flask of rum and cigar case as well as a lot of random totems amulets and other gris gris. Normally Pierre is a quiet intellectual with good manners and is studiously polite. When he is being ridden by baron samedi his personality totally shifts he becomes loud arrogant and lascivious constantly sipping from his flask and smoking cigars. The baron gives him a lot of abilities he can heal wounds speak with and banish the unquiet dead and walk secret ways between the lands of the living and dead. When using these powers his skeleton seems to glow through his skin making him appear as a walking skeleton.

Bill Rice has become known as the Levee. His ability to stop liquid is minor compared to other powers operating in New Orleans, but it allows him to do things such as paralyze people, stop cars, walk on water, and various other feats he has learned over the years.

While the Saint works one day out of the year, Judah Weiss works all year round as St Jude. His ability to create impossible coincidences comes in handy as he helps those around him.

The hero known as Barataria is an island the patrols the wetlands south of New Orleans. Very few fugitives escape its clutches if they remain in the swamps.

Denise Jade, an accomplished dancer and musician, is the Muse. She has the rather minor ability of inspiring ideas that others can use to get themselves out of trouble. Hearing her play on a street corner has led people to turn their lives around with one good idea.

Kate Lafayette has become known as Katrina. Her wind powers are enough to throw a car down the street. She doesn't investigate crimes except with the others, but if any bad guy crosses her path,she has been known to render them senseless.

Doc Salvage

 

the second doctor on the team although in this case it is nickname.

 

Manfred Laiton had a hard childhood in one of the poorest and most crime ridden neighbourhoods in New Orleans constantly in trouble at school due to wandering attention and disruptive behavior when he was six his parents died caught in the crossfire of a gang war he and his two year old sister went to live with his grandmother a former school teacher.

 

she decided to home-school them. and discovered the truth about Manny he was incredibly gifted a mathematical and scientific genius it was no wonder he was disruptive and inattentive at school.

over the next few years and with the help of the local public library Manni would acquire advanced knowledge of dozens of Subjects.

 

then hurricane katrina hit Manny’s Grandmother went to get help and never came back 12 year old Manny was left responsible for his 6 year old sister so he did what he had to do using his knowledge over following months he set up off grid power and water purification and starred to clear debris as people began to return they found this industrious kid with piles of neatly stacked salvage. Grandma never returned and Manny and his sister where in and out of foster care for the next 5 years and all that time Manny was hustling her to pay the bills he used his salvage skills sometimes roaming the streets in search of valuable scrap others restoring old or broken equipment and selling it at a profit. hiding his stash from the foster parents who would steal it.

 

It was all part of a plan and when Manny turned 18 and Manny took responsibility for his sister taking them both out of the system and started his Salvage firm Docks Salvage off an abandoned pier that had been heavily damaged

During Katrina.

 

He quickly established himself despite his age pulling off salvage jobs that no one thought possible and restoring equipment thought to be completely defunct. Of course everyone misunderstood the name and started calling him Doc Manny has grown fond of the honorific. Docks salvage is very successful and Manny is getting quite wealthy from shrewd investment and spotting quality in what others would call trash. He was recruited into the 200 when he secretly used a number of high tech traps and surveillance to target criminals operating in his area.

 

Manny now supplies technical support to the cell if you need a low profile armoured car covert surveillance or a pyrotechnic distraction he’s your man.

 

He has taken to carrying a bag of small useful devices to assist with ops but perhaps his biggest asset for the team is his network of informants, business partners and friends who keep him up to date on Salvage opportunities but also on everything going on in New Orleans various social strata from the criminal world to the tech sector and from the homeless grapevine to high society gossip.

 

Doc Salvage is very useful member of the team. He is driven to fight crime both by the death of his parents the mystery of his grandmother's disappearance( he will pretty much do anything to find out what happened to her) and a need to make the world better for his sister.

 It's a swamp thing named after Jean Lafitte's island base. I have no problems with a back story if you want to write one.

The Seven Ups are a seven member team that operate in Florida. Each member's power and name has something to do with the number 7.

Seven-Fold--a member of the Seminole Nation's Bigtown clan--is a duplicator, able to create 7 duplicates of himself.  Each duplicate has somewhat different abilities reflecting the other historic Seminole clans, namely Panther (martial artist), Bear (brick), Deer (speedster), Wind (energy projector), Bird (flight and enhanced senses), Snake (stealth), and Otter (aquatic abilities).

Lucky Seven is well known as an incredibly powerful probability manipulator.  Remember when a dead communications satellite fell from orbit and KO'd Grond?  Or that time Oculon's eye blast one-shotted Ogre?  That was Lucky Seven's work.

 

Less well known is the fact that Lucky Seven can only perform his high-end probability manipulation powers seven times a day.  (His lower-level powers, like his regular defenses or his ability to assist a teammate's attack, don't seem to have a limiting number.)  Thus far, he's only run up against that limit a few times, so he's choosy about when he pulls off the truly spectacular stuff.

Warp 7 is a speedster for the team. His power works in seven steps with warp one being the equivalent of a car. Warp seven allows him to enter the speed zone and appear to teleport from one place to another.

There is a member of the group that some would rather not be in the group for he tends to be drunk. And his powers are alcohol fuelled. While beer will usually do it is when he has whiskey or vodka that his powers really blossom. But that is Seven Seas of Rye for you......
