BoloOfEarth
Please change this before someone takes you at the literal word. Yes, I know he changed it but I Just. Couldn't. Stop. Myself. Feel free to ignore this post as it's not as serious as the others. Like his father, Pierre Devereaux is an excellent cook. That's not his profession, however. He's a brilliant biochemist, though he's fond of pointing out that "Cooking is simply Chemistry where your laboratory is the kitchen." When Monsieur Souffle was unmasked as Gaston Devereaux, Pierre was devastated and mortified. People seemed inclined to condemn the son for the sins of the father, so Pierre quit his job and put his skills to use creating foods that go beyond simple nutrition to actually increase healing from injuries or diseases. He's also branched into dishes that increase natural abilities beyond their norms for up to an hour, such as his Quickness Quiche or his Muscles Marinara. He wears a mask and hides his true identity, of course, since nobody would trust the culinary creations of Monsieur Souffle's son. As the Dietitian he doesn't have any offensive capabilities at all, but he does help buff up the other SotF's prior to battles and assists Mercy with helping injured noncombatants. Ref from Villain Theme Team thread: Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Gaston Devereaux was one of the most brilliant dessert chefs in Europe, let alone Paris. But, typical of such high-grade artistes, he was a little emotionally unbalanced. Okay, more than a little. Second to cooking, his main obsession was in explosives. He got his start in the assassination business after a particularly harsh critic openly scathed his work. He found the man's true identity, adopted a disguise, and brought about his revenge. The critic's favorite dessert was bombe glacée, a spherical multi-layered ice-cream dessert. As a twist, Gaston created a new bombe flambé, with a touch of flaming vodka ignited for a spectacular serve. Naturally, the bombe was a bomb. The outer layer was chocolate, the second vanilla, then next was napalm, and the core was C4 with a firecracker detonator. The blast killed not only the critic, but everyone else at the table. Gaston continues his career, but in his disguise as Monsieur Souffle ("Mister Blast"), he continues to follow up his victims' last meals with exploding desserts of death. freakboy6117 and Lucius

freakboy6117
Restitution Arthur A. Crowne “Archie”to his friends is restitution. Archie’s father was a highly successful art thief his mother the legendary insurance agent who caught him they fell in love and retired together travelling the world with their infant son Archie grew up surrounded by the world's most beautiful art architecture and culture. He learnt many languages and the ways of locals from Azerbaijan to Zaire. His parents were both adrenaline junkies taking him with them when they white water rafted, climbed everest or base jumped from the eiffel tower (later he would realize they were trying to capture some of the thrill of their old lives). Of course Archie shared that love of adventure and would partake in just about any extreme sports he learnt parkour in Paris went helisking in the alps and fought in back alley bouts of Hong Kong. In his mid teens his parents realized they where neglecting his education and sent him off to school but he quickly grew bored so he took the first opportunity to get out easily passing his international baccalaureate and obtaining extremely high scores he went on to study at several of the finest universities in the world after getting a First in art history at Oxford he went on to get a second degree in criminology at Harvard completing the course in just one year and finally a masters in fine art from the Sorbonne . By the time he finished and was thoroughly bored of academia so he decided to follow in his mother's footsteps joining interpol’s art squad and quickly became one of their most successful agents helping police forces on four continents recovering millions of dollars of stolen art work. But it wasn't enough his research reveled dozens of wealthy art collectors who had amassed huge collections of stolen art and antiquities but who where basically untouchable due to their power and influence. He decided to follow in his father's footsteps instead and was just as successful anonymously returning items thought lost forever but his nocturnal activities earned him powerful enemies and he was finally caught he was lucky to escape with his life but his career with interpol was over. Since then he has been off the radar operating under a range of aliases he works to restore stolen treasures to there rightful owners. Mercy became aware of him after he targeted a black market weapons auction she was planning to disrupt. Archie stole not only several highly valuable artworks being used to buy arms but also a stolen prototype stealth suit. Archie fills several roles on the team he is an expert investigator with knowledge of both sides of the law. He is also a master of disguise and social chameleon equally at home at an embassy ball or at a masai tribal wedding. A skilled con artist and social engineer he can talk his way in anywhere or Forge documents that will do the same. finally he is a skilled thief and infiltrator with his stealth suit he can penetrate all but the toughest security his athleticism and fearlessness allow him to move across the roof tops like most people navigate an empty Street. Powers wise he is a normal human in peak shape with some martial arts training. The stealth suit acting like camouflage it won't make him invisible makes him much harder to see and hear especially if he keeps still the suit masks his scent, thermal signature and radar cross section. To supplement his natural skills Archie wears a utility belt containing a variety of useful tools for breaching security and to dazzle, distract or disable his foes. Finally he realised that he needed a long range option and now carries a custom air pistol firing paintball sized projectiles filled with a variety of substances from pepper spray to thermite. The pistol can also be used as a grapple gun.

freakboy6117
Rajit iron-hands Rajit Nira is Literally a self made man one of the wealthiest men in India he joined the able 8 to make the world a better place as he knew more than most what evils can happen to the defence less in this world. Rajit was born into poverty a untouchable caste orphan abandoned on the streets of New Delhi he survived by scavaging the cities trash heaps for things to sell though entirely uneducated Rajit had a knack for technology and was able to repair broken machines and toys he found making some money more than enough for him but he helped the less able Street kids buying medicines for the sick ones etc. But it would not last a local factory owner heard about the boy who was good at fixing things and had some thugs grab him off the streets the corrupt factory owner locked rajit in the factory forcing him to crawl through the ancient machines repairing them so he did not have to pay someone the factory worked night and day and Rajit never got enough sleep or food when he did not fix a problem fast enough or asked for a costly part the factory owner would beat him. Eventually the constant abuse took it's toll and Rajit made a stupid mistake placing his hands in just the wrong place and they where mangled by the ancient iron of the machine the factory owner found rajit curled up in a balcony clutching his mangled hands and rather than helping him he kicked the boy and then had dome workers throw him into the trash. Rajit should have died then blood loss should have finished him but some other Street kids found him and returned the kindness he had shown them they bound his wounds and nursed him through the fever of his infected wounds many Street kids banded together scraping ing what little they had together to buy medicines and food for Rajit. Eventually he was restored to health but the skill full hands that had provided for so many where gone. That didn't stop rajit he made his first iron hands the day the fever broke crude scrap made hooks but they let him do more start making money and when ever he could he would improve them better hook attachments a claw came next and again he was making money he started paying for school so he could learn to read about engineering and science the pictures in damaged trash books had already taught him so much he mastered reading and writing swiftly then discovered maths and computers. Rajit got organised recruiting dozens of street kids he set up in an abandoned wear house making toy's and jewellery from scrap but they made money. And as his business grew so did the capabilities of his prosthetic hands. That was 20 years ago now Rajit is a tech sector golden boy his charitable foundation rescues thousands of kids from the streets every year and fund pioneering research into medical cybernetics. Rajits own hands are the cutting edge of prosthetics indistinguishable from life. Of course he also has a collection of other hands he uses as a super hero defending the helpless dozens of speciality hands for every occasion from grapple hands to gecko grip from pulson blasters to gas dispensers. Rajit dresses impeccably in fine tailored suits containing a low profile armour of his own devising. Rajit looks like an attractive Indian male in his late twenties he is a little on the short side of average due to child hood malnutrition. Rajits only acknowledgement of his superhero persona is he will switch his covert life like hands for metal ones which are much more obvious and packed with gadgets. Lixivious
Strobe Felix Garner discovered his super speed the same time his epilepsy manifested. It was a horrifying experience, one he will never forget. He was eight and playing on the monkey bars when he froze, then spasmed, then froze again--going back and forth bouncing throughout the monkey bars, blood spraying everything. It all ended with Felix lying on the ground, shallowly breathing, coated in his own blood. For those children looking on it was frightening. Felix's best friend, Tommy, later described it by saying Felix looked like a humming bird trapped in a cage, who was slamming itself into the bars in a desperate attempt to free itself. Fortunately for Felix, as he grew older, the tonic-clonic seizures happened at such great speeds that he just looked like a person moving through a strobe lighted disco. Felix's first attempt at being a hero accured at a grocery store where a crazed lunatic began to shoot up the place. The would be killer was unable to get a bead on Felix as he closed in and delivered a supersonic punch that sent the shooter flying out into the street where he laid unconscious. Soon after Felix created a silver and white costume becoming the hero known as Strobe.

BoloOfEarth
IMO we should. Some concepts call for more (e.g. the 12 Days of Christmas, or Zodiac signs, etc.) but really, most hero teams are smaller than the villain teams. csyphrett
The only idea I have at the moment is the Freys. Patrolling a small city south of Detroit, the five siblings answered the call for aid when Dr. Destroyer began his historic attack. They were wiped out with Detroit, joining others who had fallen. What are Mark's, Mel's, Mavis's, Marvin's, Melissa's powers? Let's see if we can use Eagle and Glen Frey solo songs for inspiration just like we did Weird Al's back in the day. csyphrett
Mavis Frey was known as the Queen of Hearts. Her main power was making people fall in love with her and do her bidding. BoloOfEarth
Marvin Frey was a huge fan of Eddie Murphy's Beverly Hills Cop movies, and took the name Axel F as he fought crime (even though that name had nothing to do with Marvin's heat and fire powers). He died in an ill-fated attempt to fly into the microwave beam from Destroyer's satellite and attempt to use his powers to cause a feedback loop and overload the lethal satellite.
