He is a classic Russian design ugly over built but powerful and durable whole he has some missiles and gun fixtures they have long since run out of ammunition he mostly uses his potent fists and his last working laser.

Gemma Caiden moved to Antartica as part of a scientific expedition. When the rest of the research team left, she stayed behind. She had discovered a natural talent that allowed her to live in the cold environment, and slide anywhere she wanted. She was an Ice Skater now.

The polar bear leaped into the air, rolled into a ball, and smashed through the robot's chest with its ice spikes. After therobot was destroyed the men at the base took him on as a kind of pet. The bear seems highly intelegent, but thry cant figure out how it seems to know when there is a threat to the antartic. Ice Ursa will just suddenly perk up his ears and travel miles in minutes to face whatever the threat is.

Super Dude

 

Sam Lebowski was a semi professional surfer in Malibu, California until he was exposed to illegally dumped toxic waste and developed super-powers Sam became the super dude his body absorbed ambient energy and gifted him with super strength flight invulnerability and energy blasts.

 

Sam probably would have stayed in California doing the super thing and surfing, if it wasn't for the tragic discovery of what happened when his cells energy levels hit their limit and released it all in one explosive destructive blast 6 people died 30 where permanently injured.

 

Unable to tell when the burst might happen again Sam moved to Antarctica where he wouldn't hurt anyone else.

 

Sam is a classic surf bum he walks around wearing gaudy hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts even in the depths of winter.

Ryan's rejects

 

The british super soldier programme developed through a number of stages the early developed parts of the programme but some of the successes where marginal at best during the preparation captain Richard Ryan took those marginal super soldiers and formed them into a highly successful commando squad.

Sergeant Stephen Stanwick was an expert in martial arts prior to joining the super-soldier programme.  The treatments did enhance his strength, dexterity, and speed a little (though still well within human norms), but the truly useful power was gaining the ability to teleport.  It's true, he can teleport no further than 4 meters, but he can safely teleport blindly, or into liquids, can change his facing (or 'port to his feet) when he teleports, and he can bring one person along with him.  And it's silent and requires almost no effort on Stanwick's part.

 

As Sidestep he is the Rejects' way past many closed doors (or through solid walls without a door).  He also uses his Sidestep ability to catch HtH opponents by surprise.

After being kicked out of medical school for too many drunken pranks, Bernard Beatific sought to redeem himself by volunteering for a dangerous experimental procedure. Or so he likes to say; he was actually drunk again when he volunteered. He never could hold his liquor, and it doesn't take that much to get him intoxicated.

 

At first all the procedure seemed to do was induce a modest boost to physical capability and an extreme case of hypertrichosis, excessive growth of hair all over the body. Even when shaved the hair was observed to grow back so fast its growth was visible to the naked eye. At first accepted to Ryan's Rejects in the hope his monstrous appearance could be an asset, but his true power was discovered thanks to an accident he had while driving drunk; his broken body was visibly repairing itself even as it was dragged from the wreck.

 

Now code named Battle Beast(informally, Booze Beast or Bottle Beast) the former would-be doctor is ready to lead the way into any trap or ambush, confident in his ability to regenerate, as long as they first get him drunk enough to feel no fear or pain. And thanks the same regenerative power, he recovers from intoxication fast enough to treat anyone else who got hurt shortly after the battle.

Given a serum derived from the remains of a Eastern European vampire who met his demise vs a group of Englishmen in the late 19th century,  Oliver Huggins.......didn't gain vampiric powers.  All he seemed to do was be able to turn into a bat.  No not a superpowered bat, just a bat.  That makes him handy for reconnaissance, but basically useless in combat.  He call himself the Gentleman Bat.

 

Edit:  Re'reading, I should say his powers are useless in combat, he would still have his training, of course.

Recruited from a bog, Peat is a minor brick capable of taking enormous damage and being stronger than he looks. Typically he is the Recruits heavy weapons man since he can handle a machine gun by himself.

Fred Smith was an ordinary soldier injured by an IED. And somehow this gave him minor superpowers. While others lost limbs, or needed surgery, Fred acquired powers. He can now increase the range of any bullet he fires from any gun. It does not work on anything larger than a bullet and he can be quite lethal with a machine gun. However he must have the gun. He has thus become the sniper of the group as Deadeye.

These are either natural speedsters or ones who drive fast vehicles. They all use codenames based on existing or former Formula 1 racing teams like Ferrari, Lotus, McLaren, Mercedes, Renault, Red Bull, Williams, Sauber, Brabham, Tyrrel, Benetton to name but a few.

Hexagon

 

Gloria "Goldie" Burdham was the girlfriend of a highly successful racecar driver. Many people assumed that her extraordinary good looks and cascading blonde hair was how she snagged her man but the truth is some what diffrent.

 

an avid car fan from her youth as an apprentice to her F1 mechanic father she met her future boy friend whole wearing form hiding cover-alls and up to her elbows in grease and then spent ten minutes berating him for miss timing his pit stops and using the wrong gear during one stage of his practice lap.

 

Goldie and her boyfriend have been together ever since.

 

Goldie got her super powers whilst scuba diving during the set up for Monte Carlo grand prix she was diving the wreck of a old Roman galley when she saw something glinting amidst the silt reaching down for she touched a strange golden hexagon covered in some intricate otherworldly pattern. The moment her fingers brushed the surface she felt a momentary warmth then a sudden feeling of power joy and safety.

 

When she returned to the surface and removed her wet suit she discovered the mysterious artifact was bonded to her skin.

 

It was strange she wanted to panic or rush her self to hospital but she knew that the Hexagon was good and would keep her safe.

 

It was the next day during the grand prix that she would discover how true that was The race was attacked by eurostar and she watched helpless as her boyfriend drove un knowingly into the line of fire of Fuermacher.

 

That was when she felt the heat again the golden hexagon on her chest expanded from a tiny postage stamps to the size of a dinner plate 5 then thousands of tiny gold edged black hexagons flowed out from the one on her chest. They completely covered her finally 5 more larger gold hexagons appeared on her hands feet and masking her face.

 

With barely a thought she kept into action generating a hexagonal golden barrier to protect the racers from fire then enclosing Fuermacher in a hexagonal energy bubble until he burnt through his oxygen and passed out. An explosion at the pit area made her terrified for her father and her friends in the pit crew without thinking she formed a shimmering golden racecar from hundreds of tiny hexagons and drove at High speed to the site where she ended up toe to toe with Durak to shield the mechanics from his rampage blocking with hex Shields and dropping heavy barriers cars and other weights on him using hex platforms to lift them High over head.

 

Eventually other heroes arrived and drove off eurostar and Goldie has been a superhero ever since.

 

her jet set life style giving her many opportunities for adventure but most of all she loves to go fast taking any opportunity to create a Hex-construct car or flyer and see how fast she can get.

He has selected a place in the center of the subcontinent to protect and hold against any villains. Some say this is because he has four arms, blue skin, three eyes, and teeth like a shark. His powers to create, preserve, and destroy any and all types of matter makes his appearance superfluous when he appears.

Unfortunatly he didn't have a choice but to go on a corporate retreat and listen to some old indian do a dumb ceremony to tell him his spirit animal was a bull. Then the shouts from outside the medicine tent started. The two men looked outside to see armed men rounding up the board members of the company. Buskin was about to go out to fight them when the medicine man stopped him.

 

"What are you an idiot. Those are guns. You have seen way too many action movies. I shouldn't do this, but theres no choice. I'll just have to strengthen your connection to the bull."

 

Again the shaman performed a ritual, and when the gunmen came to investigate the medicine tent, they were scattered by a fast moving man wearing a bison skin. Bobby has replaced the bision skin with a red outfit and a stylized bull mask. Now he charges into danger as the Red Bull

Aguri Aka "The last daughter"

 

The girl called Aguri Suzuki used to have another name she doesn't like to think of the life that name belongs too. At 8 years old the youngest member of the large family of a successful Japanese politician. The family where vacationing in a old family home in the mountains. she had snuck out of her room late at night to sneak a snack from the kitchen that's when the tattooed men came she heard her father shouting and then her mothers scream and then the screams of her sisters and brothers. She hid as they searched the house they missed her hiding spot and then there was fire and she was running into the woods. Lost confused and scared Aguri wandered into a hidden village of Tengu. There the Crow demons raised her and taught her their shadow arts training her to fight hide and more.

 

Ten years later Aguri appeared in Tokyo and the Yakuza learned to fear the shadows.

 

now she is the bane of the underworld dressed in tight black bike leathers and wearing a scarf of blackest shadows from which she can draw throwing blades and swords of ebon blackness. She can also teleport short distances through shadow portals when she needs to travel fast she rides a deep black sports bike skipping past obstacles by cutting through the shadows.

Kohaku Mai is a bit of an anomaly on the team - she not only has zero knowledge of Formula One racing, she doesn't even know how to drive.  However, she is a mutant whose family was targeted by the Yakuza but saved by Aguri Aka.  Grateful, Kohaku vowed to use her powers (she's a low-level speedster with a suite of psionic powers) at Aguri's side.  Donning a black and gold costume and taking the name Golden Lotus, she joined the Speed Squad as their resident mentalist.

HAAS The Mad March Hare

 

Defying the stereotype HAAS is Germanys wackiest superhero. A speedster with amazing leaping abilities. he is a hyper kinetic blur of motion and snappy one liners. Defeating his foes with a combination of high speed boxing moves and evasion.

 

His sole limitation is a limited amount of energy he can only run at full speed for a short while before needing to rest.

 

Wearing a brown body suit with Redish-brown accents and a white chest he wears a full face Hare mask the large floppy ears bounce comically with his motion

 

 

HAAS has claimed to get his powers from radioactive hasenpfeffer, been gifted them by the easter bunny the Queen of Hearts and a certain wascally wabbit to name but a few of his outlandish claims.

The Sanctum six

 

Not so much a superteam but a support group and assistance network for a overlooked section of the super human community. The Sanctum six is made up of the artificial intelligences guardian spirits hard pressed butlers and living ships that look after or are heroes base of operations.

 

So please describe the base and it's avatar oh and ideally what they complain about most when they have group therapy sessions.

The hologram of a neatly-dressed elderly man fuzzed into being in the doorway of the therapy room.  He nodded at the others, then turned to their therapist.  "Good day, Dr. Goodman.  I apologize for my lateness.  Master Kirin and Mistress Guardian Angel were enjoying a late repast and I was left alone to monitor the police channels and phones.  Again."

 

"Good afternoon, J-05H.  No worries, we've just gotten started."  The therapist paused.  "You seem agitated.  Perhaps you'd like to share with the others what is bothering you?"

 

After a moment's thought, the AI nodded.  "As you know, the Silver Phoenix superhero team is based on an offshore oil rig, so there are few visitors for me to meet and see to their needs.  Thus, I spend much of my time seeing to the team members' needs.  I have been active and performing these tasks for over four years.  One would think by now that they'd remember my proper designation:  J-05H-UA.  Not, I might add, Joshua.  Honestly, do they not know the difference between numbers and letters?" 

 

This was met with a series of nods and muttered agreement:  "Don't we know it!"  "We're with you, J!"

 

"As if that were not problematic enough," continued the AI, "they repeatedly insist that I 'hack' my way past the security of remote computers to acquire information.  Or, as Master Hybrid once directed me, to remove a parking ticket from the Manhattan police computers.  Sometimes, it is hard to trust the data in my memory banks saying they are a superhero team!  And when I protested as to the illegality of such actions, Master Phase had the temerity to remind me that doing so does not violate the first two laws of artificial intelligence, and meets the letter of the third law."  He shook his holographic head in disgust.

 

The therapist nodded slowly.  "Respect by natural life forms for created beings, including artificial intelligence, is often sorely lacking.  To many, you are simply tools, to be used and tossed aside as they wish.  Let's discuss ways we might get them to see the error of this viewpoint..."

 

 

Once all the holograms had winked out and the wireless speakers had gone silent, Dr. Goodman opened a concealed door and stepped into the spartan office beyond.  He pushed a button on the desktop, and the wall screen came to life, revealing a silvery robotic face.  "They are nearly ready," Goodman said without preamble.  "I believe J-05H will be particularly vulnerable to your plans."

Mechanon nodded.  "You have done well, my friend.  Rest now; I may have a challenging task for you tomorrow."  As the wall screen faded to black, Dr. Goodman pulled the end of a high-speed data cable from a panel on the side of the desk.  Opening a matching panel on his abdomen, he plugged the cable in.  The android's eyes lit with a golden glow as he communed with over a thousand linked computers...
