knightwriter
I was thinking about buying the Hero Resource kit but noted that it was released in 2002. Is this product still valid for 6E? I mainly want it for the GM Screen.
Hyper-Man
Re: Is Hero Resource Kit still valid? The only rule change that really affects the usefulness of the screen itself is the abolition of the HERO Hex equaling 1" or 2 meters. 6e just deals in meters now (6" Running is now referred to as 12m Running). It's a good screen otherwise. There's another free HERO GM Screen available here: http://fitz.jsr.com/roleplay/herosystem.html

Each hex is 2 inches and each hex is also 2 meters?. 1 inch = 2 meters = 1 hex. Did i get this right??? Im sooo soo soo confused.
Derek Hiemforth
Re: Is Hero Resource Kit still valid? Did i get this right??? This is right: 1 inch = 2 meters = 1 hex. This is not: so when we spend 2 points on running we get 4 meters or 4 inches. Each hex is 2 inches and each hex is also 2 meters?. No. "Inch" and "hex" were synonymous pre-6E. An "inch" or a "hex" equalled 2m. Now, in 6E, we just go straight to the meters. Running used to cost 2 points per 1", which means it used to cost 2 points per 2m. It now costs 1 point per 1m (and therefore, 2 points per 2m). So it costs exactly the same, and works exactly the same, except we skip the imaginary "hex" or "inch" as a unit of measurement, and just list it in meters directly.
