So during that zombie lumberjack match on Backlash, Miz was legitimately injured with a torn ACL.  Naturally he's going to be off TV for awhile and apparently "eaten by zombies" is how they're explaining it.  Morrison meanwhile managed to get away apparently, as he lost to Damian Priest in a normal lumberjack match on RAW.

So I checked the results for AEW Double or Nothing.  Most of the show I had no problem with however they had Cody Rhodes go over Anthony Ogogo, who is the guy that was supposed to be AEW's next big monster.  So naturally in his first big match Cody Rhodes cut him off at the knees.  Despite Ogogo dominating the match, despite Ogogo hitting his kill move that has put wrestlers in hospital, Rhodes hit one move and wins.  I suppose I'm not surprised that Rhodes is engaging in the same BS he chided HHH for but I am very disappointed.

You were not alone in this. Triple H was trending on Twitter in regards to this match.

The review of the match that I watched said that the Hangman Page vs Brian Cage match was good, Shida v Britt Baker was good and Kenny Omega vs Orange Cassidy and Pac was good.

Christian Cage put over Jungle Boy in the Casino Battle Royale. There are pictures of Britt Baker and Tony Schiavone embracing.

The other criticism was that the Pinnacle vs Inner Circle match was pre-filmed with only Sammy Guevara pinning Spears in the only live bit and this was supposed to be the main match.

Well as I understand it, Stadium Stampede was always meant to be one fall for the finish.  The only complaint I heard about that match was that, given the storyline, Guevara should have been pinning MJF himself rather then Spears.

Apologies my post it should have said Not Alone

I figured.  Also with the Cody Rhodes thing, this might be bad for more then one wrestler.  Ogogo looks like a paper tiger for failing in his very first major match but Austin Gunn also looks bad for being put on the shelf for 8-10 months by the move Cody tanked several times.  Also Billy and Colton Gunn look bad for not rushing to avenge Austin.

Charlotte Flair beat Rhea Ripley to take the RAW women's title at Money in the Bank. The USOs also became Tag Team champions.

Bayley's injury meant that her match with Bianca Belair was put on Smackdown instead as a match against Camilla instead.

Big E and Nikki Cross won the Money in the Bank briefcases.

John Cena returned to confront Roman Reigns after the latter beat Edge.

At Slammiversary Kenny Omega was confronted by Jay White after his match. This sets up old Bullet Club vs New Bullet Club as White is still NJPW.

Last night was AEW All Out and there was some more WWE news.

For starters C M Punk had his first official match against Darby Allin which he won.

Ruby Riott is now in AEW as Ruby Soho

Adam Cole has joined AEW and is back with Kenny Omega and the Elite. This was at the end of the match against Christian Cage. But then there was another debut. Bryan Danielson.

The Young Bucks lost their tag team titles to the Lucha Brothers Penta and Fenix. Their partner PAC (aka Neville) was due to fight Andrade but there were travel problems due to Covid so it did not take place.

Jon Moxley fought one NJPW wrestler but then had the surprise of an old foe, NJPW legend Minoru Suzuki. Naturally they started fighting and we are due a repeat of their match in NJPW

Everything I have read of reviews (I don't tend to pay for the pay per views), the Lucha Bros/Young Bucks was a match of the year candidate. I am not surprised. Last time the 4 met in a match it was brilliant ended "cheaply" by the Bucks removing Fenix's mask to allow them to hit their finisher and get win. I was thinking before this that they needed to let the Lucha's get the titles. They have been there since day one and had some amazing matches and put over a lot of guys for the organization.

It's the one match I am sorry I missed. I have heard the Omega/Christian match was also top notch, but I knew they would not let Omega lose the AEW title to him after Christian had already taken the Impact one. I am an Omega fan, as I watched his run in NJPW and his matches there were fantastic. They are doing a great job of making him a heel in the vein of Rick Flair in that he has lots of interference to help him retain, but even if you get past that you still have to beat one of the best wrestler's out there.
