mayapuppies
Re: Commisioned Art I've had luck with Brett Barkley, Bradley McDevitt and Richard Morris. I have a standing order with Robert Quill as well and I've used Adam Schmidt in the past. Prices vary, but the talent is top notch.

death tribble
Re: Commisioned Art Funny you should say that I was going to put him down for The Arc. Now other than Storn, who has his own thread hereabouts the following are from DeviantArt http://johnbecaro.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://rhardo.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://taclobanon.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://playworkart.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://paneseeker.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://juggertha.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://celticbolt.deviantart.com/gallery/ http://totmoartsstudio2.deviantart.com/gallery/ Please note if you like Celtic Bolt's work, ask me to get the pic for you as currently he is not accepting from new people due to time wasters/spammers Also on the site search for City of Heroes, City of Villains and Champions Online for more pics. The Arc
Re: Commisioned Art Well, I don't know how soon, or possibly if (at this time), I can go ahead with my idea. However, seeing how Egyptoid was able to publish his USA-50 project go me thinking about how tribe and myself could put together a book based upon our co-creation Uberworld. Naturally we'd have to update the characters to 6th Ed, and get new artwork. That's what this thread is about. Most people know I use Fabrica a lot, but obviously I can't use that stuff, but still it would make a good starting point for an artist. Thanks everyone for their input. My understanding (at least from what Storn has written), the $45 level price is for personal use. If you want the rights to print the picture as part of work, there is a different pricing scheme. It comes down to what rights you are purchasing.

DrDestiny
Re: Commisioned Art What about Doc Destiny? Does he do commissions? I think so. I don't really do commissions, sorry, I can't give the time required for them. What I do have however, is a freebie folder on my desktop, where requests go, and I dip into it whenever I get a bit of free time. On the plus side, it's free, on the negative, it may well take a while... Foo also does commissions on a sliding scale - details on his devArt page http://evilmark.deviantart.com/
wcw43921
Re: Commisioned Art the fraim brothers come to mind While I cannot vouch for them personally, there are a number of people on the Kenzer & Company boards who swear by them. Given the tremendous body of work they've done for HackMaster and Knights Of The Dinner Table, that's entirely understandable. http://www.brosfraim.com/ Hope that helps. BoloOfEarth
Re: Commisioned Art I've gotten some excellent artwork from GoldenAge (on these boards) for covers of the Haymaker! APA-zine, as well as a few character commissions. Also got a neat cover from Querysphinx, and another (for the upcoming issue) is commissioned and due soon. You could PM them and ask them about costs and availability.

Pizza Man
Re: Commisioned Art There is some good advice about commissions here. All the works in my gallery are commissions. This one was $120. Check it out in my gallery its bigger than what I shrunk it down here. The cheapest commission I have is $20, Celtic Bolt. The most recent color commissions I have are $30. DA is a great resource. Always check out the favorites list of great artists. I've bumped into some great commission deals that way. If you like an artist and they are not offering commissions, place them on watch-you never know if or when they will suddenly feel the need for a few extra bucks. This guy (the artist who's work is below: NeMA) is like that. he works freelance for Marvel and other comic companies and now he's between jobs. I jumped at the chance when he offered commissions. I'm not rich, but I can afford to put $25 or $50 into Paypal every paycheck, and the build up paid off this time. You can get everything you want for your price range, just look around. Sometimes you may have to buy the line art and pay more at a later date for a colorist to finish it...that's the case here. So go ahead join DA. Put any commissions into your gallery and post the link in your sig here.
