McCoy
Looking for something I can use to spit out spme pseudo Nostradamus or Delphic pronouncements. Only one I've found so far is at Chaotic Shiny. The melancholy bard will never attend before the coming of confusion. A conversation shall not happen or the fighting bard will never hedge in a tree at the coming of the sea. The resentful apothecary must not tinker on a journey in the age of fire. He will never dip during a rainstorm for the sake of sleep. The arrogant griffon must appear with the idealistic warlock. The foolish reaver will trawl while the sun sets. He shall teach or a betrayal shall not occur with the lauded cook near a bridge. A revelation will not occur or the fearless unicorn shall behave with the cold-hearted zealot. The lazy scholar shall hew and she will not write near a river. A takeover must not occur after the first thaw. A financial difficulty must happen at dawn. The lying monk will clown at noon. A birth shall occur with the beautiful spy. He must rust with the false cleric on a pyramid. A revelation will finally happen with the wounded mink on either solstice. A duel will not take place near a fortress during fall. Way too much about what's not going to happen, and some lines too long. Any suggestions? 薔薇語
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? Fortune Cookies. Lucius Alexander Feed them to the palindromedary! Speaking of Fortune Cookies; am I the only person who likes to eat and read them before a meal? If I get takeout, I will always eat and read the fortune cookie before the rest of the meal. And if it were possible to do so before the meal at a sit-down place, I would probably do so there as well. I don't know why I feel like doing so. But maybe it has to do with the idea of checking to make sure the fortune doesn't say "hope you enjoyed your last meal" or something equivalent. Thus saving myself from some hideous death by food. Anyway, that's my rant. I have nothing to actually offer to the tread beyond that (which isn't worth 2cents) ^^. La Rose.
bigbywolfe
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? An additional rant. I hate that 90% of fortune cookies don't have freaking fortunes! Half of them are little morals or stupid sayings and a lot of them give advice without actually indicating the results. McCoy
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? Fortune Cookies. There are online I Ching readings, but not exactly what I was looking for. Speaking of Fortune Cookies; am I the only person who likes to eat and read them before a meal? McCoy
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? Found the Nostradamus Quatrain Generator, closer to what I was looking for. Earth-shaking fire from the center of the Earth The next two flee the oppressed Tarascan monster Drowsy with peace, war will arise High price unguarded none will have provided for it The gods will make it appear to the humans The tin islands of St. George half sunk The new land will be at the height of its power America To the bloody one the number reported The new city contemplating a condemnation The monster divine omen will be seen in plain daylight Through rain afterwards, which will do them much harm Driven out by sea will fail at the time of need That last one is especally good, fits (almost) perfectly an encounter I was already planning. (As soon s=as I figure out how Chicago is "the new city.")
Lucius
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? Chicago doesn't have to be the "new city." Just change the words to "busy city" or "great city" or "port city." I checked out the Nostradamus site, and he keeps wanting to seize things and plunge them into vats. Lucius Alexander I predict that this tagline will include a palindromedary

The hog butcher contemplating a condemnation The monster divine omen will be seen in plain daylight Through rain afterwards, which will do them much harm Driven out by sea will fail at the time of need I could move the encounter, I just want to put a sea monster in the Chicago River. And have a PC (I hope, NPC if I have to) say, "No, that is not a river monster, that is not a lake monster, that is a sea monster, over a thousand miles from the ocean." 薔薇語
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? always after the meal and always adding "In Bed" or "Between the sheet" to the end of it I also always add on "in bed" to what I say. I make sure to teach this to all my Japanese and Chinese friends, too. ^^ So far the funniest one I can remember getting was: "Help end illiteracy, buy fortune cookies - in bed" La Rose. Zen Archer
Re: Anyone know of a random Prophecy Generator? A friend of mine once managed to get a fortune that said "You are the greatest in the world". He had it laminated.
