MuscaDomestica
I am making an EC framework for a character and I want to have a force field. I know you have to buy the power with the advantage costs-0 end, but I am wondering if you get the -1/2 lim costs end or is that automatic and not a limitation (seems logical that you don't get a bonus for it, but just checking) Also how does it work to buy the power with the lim costs end to activate? Trebuchet
Powers in an EC do not need to cost 0 END. In fact, the opposite is generally the case: Powers that normally cost no END are not permitted in an EC, although the GM can grant an exception. It is also perfectly legal to put Powers into an EC that normally cost 0 END (such as Mental Defense) if they are purchased with the Limitation "Costs END". Steve Long
If you want the power to cost no END, you have to pay for the Advantage. You cannot apply both Reduced Endurance and Costs Endurance to the same power (5E 185, Rules FAQ). You can have a power in an EC that normally costs END, but to which the Advantage Reduced Endurance (0 END) has been applied (5E 204). mattingly
You cannot apply both Reduced Endurance and Costs Endurance to the same power (5E 185, Rules FAQ). Can I have a (normally 0 END) power cost 1/2 END, for a -1/4 Limitation? Example: Mental Defense, 20 points; Costs 1/2 END (-1/4). Total cost: 16 points. You can apply the "costs end only to activate" for -1/4 to powers that normaly cost no end, but there is no rule for adding "costs 1/2 end". If your GM's willing to allow it, sure, but I wouldn't consider it an official rule without further review.
