tcabril
I was just wondering if people are converting the Dark Champions (I also include in that - Hudson City, Dark Champions: The Animated Series, and Urban Fantasy) to the 6th Editon rules - or are they just keeping with the 5th Edition rules? I started Hero System with the 6th Edition rules but I did purchase the 5th Editon rules in both book and .pdf form. I was wondering how I should run it - but 5th or 6th editon rules. Thanks Todd
Deadman
Re: Converting Dark Champions 5th Edition to the 6th Edition rules My group has decided to stick with 5th Ed. primarily out of familiarity. The transition wouldn't be very difficult but since there is no real support for the genre at this time, why change? If you are starting a new campaign and not relying on printed materials (meaning villains, etc.) then using 6th Ed. would be even easier. CorpCommander
Re: Converting Dark Champions 5th Edition to the 6th Edition rules 6th edition for me. The Equipment guide has most/all equipment you need in 6th edition and I always create my own NPCs.

socom242
Sticking with 5e until more support. Not even sure what a typical "Dark Champions" vigilante would look like in 6e "points-wise". Heroic Powerful or Heroic Very Powerful?

Heroic Powerful or Heroic Very Powerful? What is the point total you use in 5E? If you use Herioc or Powerful Heroic in 5E then you would use Heroic or Powerful Heroic in 6E. What's the question? kahuna's bro
I think he means would the new point system put your heroes in a higher power bracket so to speak
Tasha
I think he means would the new point system put your heroes in a higher power bracket so to speak But the heroes will still be in the same power bracket. They are just paying for all of the benefits that high str, Con and Dex give them in 5e.
Kaze9999
I got the 6th edition core rules (Vol I & II), the 6th edition Hero System Equipment Guide, the 6th edition Bestiary and felt pretty set up to convert 5th edition stuff, and then in a real coup, I was able to pick up all three 6th edition Villains books for $20 through the Colorado Relief bundle (PDF's). All my conversions are pretty much cake now. I'm 6th edition all the way, because I love all the changes (no figured characteristics, no COM, no Elemental Controls, etc), but, you know, that's just me... GhostDancer
I also got all three 6th edition Villains books for $20 and much more through the Colorado Relief bundle (PDFs). Don't remember other Hero loot, maybe bundles vary? My buddy Bo runs a DC game, Shadows Over Detroit, in 5e.
