Who you include in your Magical Harem of Fictional Characters?

At the moment, I am playing a Supervillain Campaign. My character in particular is a powerful magic user that is only really being a supervillain for kicks. He already has everything he wants because, well, magic. To illustrate my point, I want to give him a slavishly devoted magical harem. But, to make it all the more impressive (while simultaneously avoiding the implication that he could be sleeping with any of the other PCs at any time) he is going to have a harem made up entirely of fictional characters, usually as they were portrayed in film adaptations. This includes giving them some of the powers and prowess that they displayed in the film.

Now, I know how I would build the basic mechanics of a magical harem. Its a pretty typical "summon" spell, to which you add any appropriate dis/ads. But what I want to know is, what fictional characters would you add? Not your character, mind you. I'm talking about random people on the internet. Bear in mind, of course, that since he can dismiss and resummon, he has not limit on the number of people he eventually summons.

For example so far:

Batman, Robin, and Batgirl from "Batman & Robin"

Because the film may have been pretty bad but the heroes were just pretty.

Start with the fundamentals: go for the cavewoman as portrayed by Raquel Welch in 1,000,000 Years BC.

Off topic: the IMDb entry for this movie says, "This plot synopsis is empty." OTOH, it is also correct. Not that I'm complaining.

If you are a villain, and you enjoy doing things for kicks, and IF you love tweaking the noses of superheroes, may I suggest you go not just by what is classic, and what you like- but take into account what the SUPERHEROES like.

Review interviews, see if there are any obvious homages they've slipped into their costumes. See if they'd let loose a quip or comment in mid battle with you or another supervillain you know in the past.

If Lady Justice was inspired as a little girl by Wonder Woman reruns (ala Lynda Carter), then imagine her fury if she should ever seen a dead ringer for the same Wonder Woman she idolized feeding you grapes as you lay by your pool, or serving you coffee while you make your next public display of power!

Sure, you might set off an unofficial Enraged and get called a pig, but what's the supervillain life without living on the edge?

Re: Who you include in your Magical Harem of Fictional Characters?

If you're looking for combat artists to help him fight the PCs, then you'd definitely want Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman--along with Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers, Eliza Dushku as Faith Lehane, Summer Glau as River Tam, Lucy Lawless as Xena, Warrior Princess, any character played by Michelle Yeoh (heck, why not all of them) Scarlett Johanssen as the Black Widow--and while we're at it, Aayla Secura and Ahosoka Tano. (Show me the PC who wants to fight a lightsaber wielder. Even if they have a lightsaber themselves.)

If you're just looking for pretty women to serve and adore him, I would go with any legendary sex symbol--Jean Harlow and Mae West (perhaps with black-and-white coloring), Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, Raquel Welch (as stated earlier) Sophia Loren, Jane Russell, Farrah Fawcett, Pam Grier, Diana Ross, Donna Summer--and that's just off the top of my head. And there are plenty of modern-day sex symbols who I'm sure would fit right in with this guy's idea of a "magical" harem.

Hope that helps.

The mention of Black Widow reminded me of the women of the X-Men movies such as Storm, Jean Gray and Mystique. With Mystique, you can even have her look like any other character you like.

If we're looking for combat-capable, how about Sif from the Thor movies too?

don't forget the Evil Overlord 101 list:

One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that he is able to spot will be corrected before implementation.

So one of the girls in the harem should be Shirley Temple, or Dora Explorer if you're younger.

For me, personally, the guy behind the keyboard? Assuming my wife didn't kill me for it ...

Furries. Furries everywhere. Colleen (Road Rovers) and Renamon (Digimon) would be the first two.

If we are talking 'furries', then Britnie "Cheeta" Diggers, the were-cheeta. You might also bring with her her sisters, tecnomancer and explorer Gina "Gold" Digger and Britann "Grave" Digger. Oh, Gina is not a furry, and Britann is only half furry.

Let's see:

Seven of Nine from Voyager (despite me not agreeing to the notion that she was only there because of her looks - I think she had a credible story and character development)

Tyris Flare from the Golden Axe II Cover (who does not like a bikini amazon riding a dinosaur and able to punch, throw, slash and blackflip through your enemies - and able to summon firebirds...)

Gravitar from Hero (the original look, NOT the Cryptic look - In fact I would try to remove that one from existence and collective memory).

More might follow later...

Given the lists, I would think any group of PCs worth thier capitalization would turn the harem girls away from thier evil master, and let them wipe the floor with them.

I think I'd pick my girls more for passivity, in other words. Magically created and loyal action girls are one step away from being action girls out to kick my

Since the OP said they were 'slavishly loyal' to him, turning them to helping the PCs is probably not in the cards. But how about some more villainous women?

The Baroness

Catwoman

Harley Quinn

Xenia Onatopp (from James Bond series)

Madame Hydra

Gozer (as played by Slavitza Jovan)

Callisto (from Xena)

Ivy Valentine (from Soul Calibur)

Caprica Six (from BSG reboot)

Elle Driver (from Kill Bill)

This whole thread makes me uneasy. Unless he finds/befriends alternates of the women who then become totally loyal (unlikely). The implication is that the women in his Harem are being Mind Controlled in some fashion. Which makes their participation in anything physical with the villain against their will, which is really just rape dressed up in happy terms. Which raises the squick value to maximum for me.

As he only summons fictional characers and they are slavishly loyal it is likely they are not real persons. Propably more on the side of a well programmed holodeck creation or purpose built robot.

Yeah, since I saw this this morning, I've been contemplating to the "Intersting Commentary on Sexisim in Geek communities".

Is this really such a great idea, y'all?

I mean, I'm bent as a pewter ducat, deep in the S&M community, and not a particularly nice guy, and if a player in one of my campaigns wanted to do this I'd probably hint nicely that it won't end well, then smash him for it utterly. Just to make my point first in a context he might understand before the tongue lashing and possible exile from the folk I call my friends.

The times they are a 'changing
