Hyper-Man
I just noticed something missing from the MHI rules (which are essentially just the HERO System Basic Rulebook). This seems like a setting that Combat Luck was designed for. I find it odd that it wasn't even introduced as a custom settings option as it seems quite genre appropriate. As a comparison, Champions Complete (the new entry level replacement for both HERO System Basic and 6e1 & 6e2) includes Combat Luck in a book with a lower page count than MHI. Anyone else find this odd?
Beast
No, not at all MHI uses Hero System Basic Which does not have Combat luck Besides everybody wears armor in the stories Even Earl Harbinger's jacket is made from Buffalo men hide and is heavy rifle proof
BhelliomRahl
I found it odd myself, although I did allow a player to have it as a hereditary Gift relating to an ancient pact made by her ancestors with an Old One. The negative is that as the Old One grants this power it allows the Old One and its Servants to more easily Mentally Dominate her and perceive what she perceives. Killer Shrike
As it's a Talent that is just a bundled Power construct, you can re-express it...or different variants of the same basic concept. But yeah...it is odd.
Edsel
I have allowed it in my campaign but capped how much a player can have. The MHI body armor does have gaps. If a GM wanted to he could simply require Combat luck to have a further limitation that it does not stack with other armor.
