There'll be another Australian Prime Minister in six months time.

G20 summit: Merkel needs 'cheat sheet' to recognise Morrison

"German Chancellor Angela Merkel revealed she has dealt with so many Australian prime ministers since 2013 that she uses a cheat sheet with a picture."

Have you thought about issuing trading cards?

Anyone remember the song "The ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders?"

No?

Just me?

Too bad.  It was funny, and all these years later, an almost-relevant parallel.

Oh well.

You mean this ?

With all the news that there is today
It's hard to keep it all inside my brain
Big Russian guys are droppin' like flies
How can I remember all of their names ?
Now there's help, it's a brand new game
It's the ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders
The ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders

When you hear the letter 'A'
Andropov is the name to say
The letter 'B' is next in line
Brezhnev's dead, so he'll do just fine
'C' is for Chernenko
It's the ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders
The ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders

'A' they're Atheistic
'B' they're Big shots
'C' they're Communistic
'D' they're Dead

They were Russian in mind, rushin' towards death
They read Russian books, they wore Russian dressing
It's hard to fathom 'cause I'm a foreigner
Excitement there is just around the coroner
He's got a file drawer that's marked
The ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders
The ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders

'A' they hate Apple pie
'B' they hate Baseball
'C' they like Coolidge, 'cause he's dead, too

Ooh, Constantine, Yuri
Just that like that, they were gone in a hurry
Before them, there was Leonid
His name was hard to rhyme until he started bein' dead
Gorbachev thinks he's home free
Because his name doesn't start with 'D'
But it's my game, I can change it if I want to
I can make it the ABCGs, yeah

When you hear the letter 'A'
Andropov is the name to say
The letter 'B' is next in line
Brezhnev's dead, so he'll do just fine
'C' is for Chernenko
It's the ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders
The ABCs of Dead Russian Leaders
The ABCs of Dead Dead Dead Dead Dead Dead Dead Dead
Russian Leaders

Nova Scotia will be right on the hurricane tracks in fifty years.  You're better off aiming for places like Prince George, British Columbia.

I ain't gonna make 50 years, that's the NEXT two generations problem and...

oh wait... I' m starting to see why Climate Change is having trouble getting proper attention

It's interesting to see how other countries deal with their own immigration conundrums.

Wich brings us back to Australia, because they do it for years.

As if people fleeing from literal death to war or starvation would be detered by that.

Hey, not gonna lie, if I had a spare million, Nova Scotia would look real good NOW.

Your avatar would probably enjoy all of its beautiful coastline. However,

Nova Scotia is on the hurricane track right now. Granted, the storms have usually weakened significantly compared to the Gulf of Mexico by the time they get there; but Atlantic Canada has been hit by several nasty hurricanes over the years. Even if wind force is below hurricane strength, rain can still cause much misery.

Cooler waters off the BC coast tend to block most Pacific typhoons, but they have made landfall on rare occasions. But if you like the seashore, British Columbia is gorgeous, and the climate is temperate most of the year. OTOH it's on the Ring of Fire, as much at risk of catastrophic earthquakes as California.

A Dutch man sues the government to have his official age lowered twenty years. He says his official age doesn't match how he identifies himself.

I kind of wonder if it is a stunt. i.e. he doesn't respect other kinds of identity, and is making a silly point. Like that lawmaker who opposed the argument that marriage had to be heterosexual because marriage was there to make babies, and so submitted a bill to annul any marriage that did not create children in a set amount of time.
