Cancer
Upgrade gives Curiosity ability to control its own lasers This is about a software change to the rover operating on the surface of Mars, but taken out of context it has all kinds of amusing possible meanings. Zeropoint
I'm STILL thrilled that we know of exactly one species that sent a flying saucer to another planet to disgorge a nuclear-powered robot to drive around shooting lasers at things . . . and it was us. Michael Hopcroft
Paris Hilton could ISIS' next target Has she considered doing something with her life that gives her a reason to settle down? Like actual business? Even with her reputation and perceived attributes, she has enough money and enough fame that if she wanted to she could do some good in the world. Imagine her taking a stand on behalf of, say, young mothers or sexual minorities -- or whatever causes she believes in. People will scoff, but they might also start to think. Pro athletes who have much of a reputation for solipsism as Paris Hilton have now begun to stand up for their communities. And nobody is a celebutante forever. Someday Paris will have to start doing something with her life more than revel in her own fame, because that fame is not forever. Indeed, it is already fading dramatically. Old Man
Paris Hilton could ISIS' next target So terrorism works as advertised on Paris Hilton. Has she considered doing something with her life that gives her a reason to settle down? Like actual business? You mean aside from her multibillion dollar fashion and fragrance lines? Someday Paris will have to start doing something with her life more than revel in her own fame, because that fame is not forever. She'll have to resort to swimming in money like Scrooge McDuck, the poor thing.
