Even the ones who seem to exude calm and maintain complete control compete so fiercely that they will go after each other in the pits if not restrained. death tribble 4,129
Frank Bough dies aged 87. He was the anchor of Grandstand which was the BBCs Saturday afternoon sports programme in the 70s. He then went on to Breakfast Time which was the BBCs morning programme and thus for much of my youth he was a fixture on TV. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54684374

archer 1,748
Pope Names First African-American Cardinal Initial indications are that his new name will be Joey, in honor of Joey Wheeler, a character from the popular children's anime program Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh is widely known as the pope's favorite anime and is also a collectible trading card game. https://abcnews.go.com/International/pope-names-us-archbishop-wilton-gregory-1st-african/story?id=73815552

Badger 1,787
Well, I got too comfortable, so Comcast had to hatch the evil plan of removing channels with no warning today. One of my likely top3 or 4 channels was a casualty.

Which I am willing to do to have something to watch. Wish they would cut some of the 30 channels I dont even know exist. But, choice is bad. Course I am still pissed from several years ago, when they replaced the 2nd history channel (aka the one that covered occasional history) for the gosh-awful Vice channel

Cygnia 13,921
Wish one of the streaming services would air the ol' "Infamous Murders" series that was on in the early days of History. That was pretty well done, not as lurid as what they have on ID or Oxygen these days. Mind you, the only History show I watch (and it's on Hulu anyways) is "Forged In Fire". Starlord 4,865
Love Forged in Fire. I find myself yelling at the tv when a smith makes cardinal sins like missing basic parameters or quenching in water. Cygnia 13,921
And I've yet to see a jerk competitor on it! In the era of Mandatory Drama on "reality TV", do you know how rare that is?! The banter between the judges is great, I'm learning about a field I know nothing about from both technical AND historical aspects and it's just fun to watch! Also, Wil Willis is a Very Pretty Man.
