dawarners
Harrison Ford's broken ankle has apparently badly screwed up the production schedule--understandable given that he seems to be the lead. from guardianlv.com/2014/06/tom-cruise-in-and-harrison-ford-out-of-star-wars-episode-vii/ Harrison Ford, will either need to be filmed from the waist up or written out of the movie, altogether, because of the broken leg he suffered when the pneumatic door of the Millennium Falcon fell on it. I guess the Milennium Falcon set had it in for Han Solo given all the situations and letting others fly it in Star Wars VI Return of the Jedi movie. tikiman
Can't imagine a new Star Wars will be any good. They should have just left it at three and moved on. Guess too much money to be made.

Christopher
The Trailer (or rather a "Teaser") is out. It took me a time to find the ACTUALL teaser between all those fake "official" trailers on youtube. I ended up going to starwars.com just to have a decent chance. In case anybody else is sitll wondering how to find it, here is the actuall video: And of course the internet made a lot of fun of it. Most noteably the Broadsword-lightsaber. I like the cross saber. i think it looks badass (the beam cross guard makes sense to prevent other sabre wielderd from sliding their blade down yours and slicing your hands off. now who do we know who had that happen to them? Christopher
Some new stuff came out at Comicon, inlcuding a Behind the sceenes reel: http://collider.com/star-wars-7-comic-con-sizzle-reel/ (the reel) https://youtu.be/CTNJ51ghzdY http://collider.com/star-wars-7-new-images-including-simon-pegg-harrison-ford/ (100 still images of the behind the scenes reel) http://collider.com/star-wars-7-comic-con-panel-recap (Q&A session with Directors and Writers) Looks like they don't overuse CGI this time, using more of the old-school practical effects. Puppets, wookie costumes, midgets in droid costumes, that sort of thing. At least the prequel trillogy and special editions had the advantage of getting that out of thier systems. There is also a bit of a rumor circulating that Han Solo will get a solo film (no pun intended) of his early years. Could find no concrete data however. NuSoardGraphite
They did say mostly practical effects enhanced by CGI for this film which is what Ii believe to be the best use of CGI in general.
